Ron roasts his own beans. Gotta try it. I am confident you will enjoy the coffee. This spring he is adding a patio out front.

This place has my heart Water Street is cozy, elegant,…read moreclassy , and beautifully designed, the decor is absolutely charming and instantly makes you feel at relaxed and content. The staff are always kind and welcoming, with warm smiles that add such a lovely touch to the experience. My absolute favorites are the Sleeping Bear Mocha and the Sleeping Bear Hot Chocolate , "truly signature drinks and honestly addictive!!" I keep coming back just for them, and I've never found anything quite like them anywhere else. Their food options are unique and always served warm when you order. I also adore that they offer tea pots when you order tea such a cozy, thoughtful detail that makes the experience feel extra special They have cute mugs and teas available for purchase, perfect for taking a little piece of the café home. Prices are similar to Starbucks, but the quality and atmosphere feel much more special. I love that they introduce seasonal drinks, right now they have a delicious mocha and a pecan drink that feel perfect for the season. They also serve chai lattes, which is very important to me wherever I go, and theirs is lovely. They even have an app that sometimes offers rewards and little perks, which is always a nice surprise. (My only wish is) that they extend their hours until 9 or 10 PM . it would make this cozy spot even more perfect. Overall, this is one of my favorite coffee spots. Warm, comforting, and always a pleasure I highly recommend it and they have my full yelpy support :)

Early morning happy service is what I got. This is the larger of the locations with a little bit of a longer drive thru. True to water street, the chill vibe extended to the car.

The second I walked into Uncommon Coffee Roasters, I was hit with the smell of fresh bread. It immediately took me back to my grandma's kitchen. She used to bake a loaf of bread just for me--with no nuts, because she knew that's how I liked it. Walking into her house, I always knew exactly what she was making. It's funny how a smell can transport you somewhere in an instant. Then I looked over at the bakery case. Mistake. Everything looked fresh, homemade, and absolutely beautiful. We had plans to spend the rest of the day walking around Saugatuck, so I talked myself out of buying a loaf... and regretted that decision before we were even back out the door. Despite the line stretching from the counter almost to the entrance, the staff handled it like absolute pros. Everyone behind the counter seemed completely in sync, moving quickly without making the experience feel rushed. Watching them work was almost entertaining in itself. The shop has a colorful, artsy personality that fits Saugatuck perfectly. It feels modern without losing that cozy small-town charm. Between the artwork, the cheerful cups (seriously... how cute are they?), and people scattered throughout reading, chatting, working on laptops, or simply enjoying their coffee, it felt like the kind of place you naturally want to linger. As for the coffee... We ordered three different drinks and somehow all landed on winners. My Don't Be Salty cold brew (cold brew with caramel and salted caramel cold foam) was phenomenal. Another in our group ordered the Caramel Silk latte, and judging by the smile after the first sip, I'd call that a success too. I honestly couldn't tell you what our third friend ordered... only that all three of us agreed we'd happily order our drinks again. Some coffee shops are just a quick caffeine stop. Uncommon Coffee Roasters feels like part of the Saugatuck experience. We'll absolutely be back... and next time, I'm buying the bread,

Staff was really friendly and they offer a huge selection of drinks. Grabbed a Cappuccino and had the cutest bunny foam art on top. Espresso was really smooth and had a slight sweet taste making the drink very enjoyable. I will make sure I stop back by before heading out of town.

Now parking.. not sure where I should park, but maybe it's behind the shop or possibly it's best to park on the street by the houses, who's to say lol. So after I figured out parking, my first experience was great. Service was nice. They didn't take too long and the pastries, coffee and sandwiches were so good I had to come back before my flight. But the second time, the service was sooooooooooo slow. They didn't care at all to help me and finally after making one drink I had to ask for the rest of my order to be made. Not to mention one of the baristas left to give someone a drink in the back and didn't come back for at least 5-10 mins - I don't know where this mystery person was but the sure must have been important because the barista knew damn well there was a line of people waiting to be served but apparently didn't give a damn. It felt very purposeful and quite frankly rude but I cant speak on their intentions. Great food. Great drinks. Good atmosphere. I had to take give 3 stars tho for service. Sadly that sucked.
