I had an over-the-fireplace TV installed which included cutting some holes in my drywall (which I was expecting) so I would have a real clean looking setup. Ron thoroughly explained everything in detail and then let me know the approximate costs prior to beginning work. He gave me a project maximum cost which he did end up staying under upon completion. Ron completed his work and patched up the walls in a reasonable amount of time. The wall patching isn't perfect but he explained how to finish the walls even better with a few items from Home Depot which was helpful. In the end, the final product looked great! Saw a lot of great reviews got Ron's service and sent two options to my husband to decide on which service to use. He looked at the pictures posted and choose Ron for the job. Ron was very accommodating and flexible with our communication method and I love it when a service uses text messaging to communicate with their potential customers. Makes life easier with two toddlers running around. We love it that Ron was available to come and do the job right away within 72 hours since we were busy the whole weekend. We contacted him on Friday and he was ready to do the job the next day! I would recommend Ron as he is very knowledgeable and does a nice job of cleaning up the mess afterwards. i was looking to install an over the fireplace pull down TV mount (manual, not motorized) i recently bought but was having second thoughts with not buying the motorized variation. was actually looking forward to picking someone's brain, in person, rather than hunting and pecking blindly on forums regarding nuances between motorized and non-motorized mounts. the above was explained each and every time i reached out to Ron's TV first contacted Ron's via phone. after hanging up i kept thinking: "was that guy really that smug?" "did i say something? i don't think so cause after explaining why i was calling i never really got a chance to talk again" that being said, figured it must have been me, not you, because how does a small mom & pop shop stay afloat after all these years with an arrogant/holier than thou attitude towards potential new customers? called a 2nd time but a few days later with the hope/idea of either; a) getting somebody different or; b) enough time has passed to "reset" any possible off-day either one of us was having but unaware at the time. crap, snake eyes. 2nd call was actually worse than the 1st as the level of condescension seemed to be elevated. living near by i decided to stop by, because, why not? 3rd times a charm and all that stuff right? in this particular case that would be a big "no". in fact, in person they were even more condescending and pushy with brand names than on the phone! condescension seems to be a theme (well ok, 3x does not make a "theme") at Ron's as more than once i heard: "we only work with brand x, we won't work with cheaper knock-off products" or "If it's not brand x I personally wouldn't even touch it, it's junk." ironically, some, if not all brands/products they push are actually just overseas bulk-volume discount purchases... resold with a new/different "premium" sticker/label on the box but at crazy markups. like 5x the bom (bill of materials) kind of craziness. to go further down the rabbit... when comparing what seems to be a cheap knock off to a non-cheap knock off, pay attention to each's assembled-weight vs each's shipping-weight. full disclosure: i'm a mechanical engineer by trade, home theater enthusiast at night. i never mentioned this to Ron's TV because who cares? and also it shouldn't matter what a person's background is with how they are treated. i have a ton of experience working with custom-installers professionally as well as personally on home theater projects. i currently work primarily in a r&d capacity w/dolby; spent better part of the previous decade at microsoft in r&d. not that any of this is relevant but anyone reading this knows that home theater custom installs is a very specialized/niche market; meaning people who fork over money for any type of custom home theater work or gear, by default alone, possess some working knowledge in said field. in my limited experience with Ron's TV they treat everybody as if they're idiots and push product brand more so than anything. if I had to guess, Ron's TV probably deals primarily with affluent individuals who are uneducated in home theater technologies but have a lot of disposable income to throw around. the more you know... read more

After waiting for weeks for service from the biggest installer in our area, we called Ron. He had excellent reviews and he was very personable on the phone, and a few pertinent details, he said that he could schedule our two television wall-mounts just two days after our call! Nice! He arrived on time and brought with him all of the tools and both of wall mounts that I thought we needed. After assessing our needs, he was able to reuse one already on the wall (the other was brand specific and we didn't have that brand of television) which saved us some money. The new mount was onto a brick wall. Ron laid drop cloths to catch the dust and insisted on vacuuming all of the debris his work created. He worked steadily & efficiently and had the calm demeanor of a guy who has done many jobs like ours. The end results were excellent: wires hidden, TVs perfectly mounted. As a bonus he returned a week later to help us with the built-in sound system. The previous owners had removed essential parts so Ron identified the missing pieces and ordered them for us, and installed them on his return trip. Ron is a super nice guy and did an excellent job. His ideas and workmanship are top notch, you pay for what you get as he is a bit pricey but worth it. We had him install a TV and soundbar - For best results he installed a new outlet behind the TV and ran all the wires and extra HDMIs through the wall. I think he provided the mount and I bought 1 HDMI cable then we had both the TV and sound bar mounted with no visible wires for $450. He also fixed another outlet that was not working in the adjacent room for that price. Like I said it sounds pricey but he did a great job and it looks amazing. I would hire him again in an instant, especially for anything challenging like a fire place mount or running wires through the wall. read more

Recently moved into a condo that had been renovated. Unfortunately the coax cables were configured such that new connections had to be run from an adjoining room. Ron installed all wires in a covered plastic conduit that matched almost perfectly with the interior decor. Ron also mounted two TV's and configured the wiring such that there were no unsightly, exposed wires. Ron worked hard all day; he took a very short mid-day break.
