In December of 2022 I purchased a pre-owned 2020 Toyota Rav 4 from Roundtree Toyota in Lake City…read moreFl. I was under the impression that the vehicle was in good working condition and was never informed of any previous mechanical issues. I purchased a "bumper to bumper" warranty and accepted the vehicle. A couple of weeks after taking delivery of the vehicle I broke down on the interstate and had to be towed. I do not know what the dealer did to get the car running but about 2 weeks later I again broke down on the interstate and had to be towed. This time the dealer told me I needed a new battery ($395) which I found unsatisfactory when I had just purchased the vehicle. I informed the dealer that I was not happy with the vehicle. I am a 73 year old veteran that suffered a stroke in 2022 and must travel to the VA hospital frequently. I cannot risk breaking down constantly. I began to experience additional electronic issues with the vehicle (blue tooth not working, maintenance lights coming on and off and the air bag failure light staying on). The dealer informed me that I needed a software upgrade for several hundred dollars. Each time I went to the dealer with an issue I was told that I needed to pay a $200 diagnostic fee to determine if the problem was covered by my warranty (it never was). I was in a bad situation as I fell behind on my auto payments as I kept having to pay for repairs. I asked the dealer to trade out the vehicle but he said he could not do that. I was searching through the glove box and found an envelope that contained all the previous owner's personal information (address, phone number, etc) and copies of repair invoices from this dealer for many of the same issues I was experiencing. I feel that the dealer knew this vehicle had serious issues but chose to resale it any way. It is my contention this dealer took advantage of me by selling a vehicle with known issues and a warranty of no value. As a result I have to surrender the vehicle with possible negative impact on my credit as I cannot afford to have continual repair costs and risk breaking down constantly. It is disgraceful that a dealer would treat a 73 year old veteran this way for the purpose of making a dollar.

While on the phone my salesman located the exact truck I wanted and told me it was his day off but if I was interested he would meet me at dealership. I told him yes I was interested and that I was on the way. Upon arrival a lot of the paperwork was done but there was a catch, I already had 2 auto loans and to get a third is impossible. Well almost impossible, because Elian and the team at I-75 Autos not only found the perfect vehicle for me but got me the loan I wanted on my terms. Other branded dealers of this company should follow what these guys are doing to the tee. Thank you again to Elian and the whole I-75 autos team.

I did not purchase a vehicle here, however I did drive an hour+ from Jacksonville and can share my…read moreexperience with others. Johnathan G(sales person) was great. I placed a request for information and photos on their website and received a text from JG later that evening. I asked if he could send me additional photos as well as how many keys came with the vehicle. Sure enough I got the answer and pictures the next day, even a video of the vehicle. We informally agreed on an out the door pricing with Tom O(Sales Manager) at $17,500 out the door. That was pretty much the reason why I drove all the way here. I figured if someone could confirm a simple request and we could agree on a price, it would be worth the drive. I made a last minute appointment but luckily JG was available Okay - Here's the reason for the two stars. The dealership's atmosphere leaves a lot of be desired. The music was way too loud btw. I waited a while because the car was still being detailed and when it was pulled around it was still dirty. It was washed but with minimal effort. There were soda stains on the driver and passenger side as well as smudges etc on the windshield. The battery to the key(s) was dying. The vehicle was still in trade condition it appeared. The test drive went smooth. Once we got back to the lot I checked out the exterior of the vehicle. Everything worked as it should lights, hood latch, trunk latch, gas door took a few tries. Once I popped the hood I noticed that the battery terminal was rusted - Both the negative and positive. The piece that holds the hood lift in place was missing. I'm a big stickler when it comes to how everything looks under the hood... At that point I wanted to turn away but I figured why not let's see what we can do on pricing and I can figure out the rest. Once I received the offer at JG's desk it was at 17,900 which was higher than the amount we spoke about previously. Apparently Tom wasn't there and Isaac was the guy in charge. We got it down to 17,600 with them replacing the battery terminals. Having to replace or fix something on a 2017 still baffles me. Isaac decided to go into information overload by saying how much of a good deal I was getting and they are losing money by selling the car at 17,6 so on.... At that point I wouldn't even be comfortable with 16k out the door with what the car still needs. Long story short. I walked and was glad I did. The car had a lot of wear for a 2017 and sadly, my 2009 same make and model is in better condition with over twice the miles. From what I was told they don't perform repairs here so I'm sure the fluids and filters weren't touched either. We have over a hundred of these used car dealerships in Jacksonville and to be honest I should have asked for more pictures before making the drive.

She was very patient to answer all the questions I had and the sales process was very straight-forward. A couple months later I decided to get this Rouge serviced and took it back to Rountree despite living closer to the Gainesville Nissan dealership and had Kinsley as my service representative and Tyler was my mechanic. Kinsley was super-attentive, nice, and listened to everything I asked her about and if she didn't have a ready answer she went and got Tyler, the actual mechanic, to come talk with me. Which he did and was also super straight-forward about everything. Very nice guy and seemed very honest. In example, I wanted the auto start/stop feature completely disabled because it annoys me and he said he couldn't do that on this model, sorry. An honest answer up front no beating around the bush like with many dealers or mechanics. Having gone through an absolute circus in Savannah, Georgia with my Honda getting it serviced up there at Grainger Honda a few times this was a very refreshing experience in small-down honesty and friendliness all the way around.

After evaluation I was charged $178 for this inspection and the estimate of repairs . I was told they had topped off the axle gear oil after I specifically asked them to do so. They said my truck needed $2800+ in repairs. This included replacing every part they would touch doing the axle bearing and seal repair Plus all bearings and other associated parts in the rear axle and seal repair. This included rear brake pads and rotors, both U-Joints and all differential bearings as well as the axle bearings. I took the truck to a well established local shop, which does not do axle/rear differential work, which I had trusted for years, to replace the U-joints, which was one of the items Johnnys said needed replacement. They were fine and needed no service. I asked about the axle gear oil. They checked it. IT TOOK 2 PINTS TO FILL IT. Johnnys not only furnished a greatly inflated estimate and charged me for such, they lied about topping off the gear oil. Then charged me to lie to me. NEVER USE THESE people. THEY are TOTAL CROOKS !!
