They were flexible with scheduling the quote time(I had a limited time window available). The person scheduled for the quote came in on time and seemed capable of answering most of my questions. I did end up going with another local company for two reasons: 1. Their quote came in a little above $4000 higher for the same work. 2. The other local company seemed more knowledgeable about Roofing and skylights, especially when it came down to the nuts and bolts of whether I needed to replace my skylights or not and some of the details about the trim. House we purchased in 2019 was built in 1998 & the architectural shingle was now 26 years old, their had been signgs of deteriorated shingles in spots as well as a cupola on the attached attached garage of the 2700 sq ft home that leaked water into a finished apart over the garage that needed to be removed. After receiving quotes for replacing the shingles from 3 local roofing contractors using commission sales people it was refreshing to be dealing with the actual owner of the company who came himself to do the necessary measurements, he took the time to carefully explain what as necessary for the job, after receiving a written detailed description of what was needed with a price that was more than competitive a contract for replacement of the shingles in the color and quality level of my choice & proposed date for the start of work was signed to do the job. The work was completed in only two days & the house and landscaping were left as clean as it had been prior to their work, no stone was left unturned, every piece of debris had been carefully put in the supplied dumpster that was also removed the next day. I do not think I would recommend this company considering yesterday was Juneteeth and we are trying to recognize all the minorities and under served communities, I has a trouble conversation with owners of this company. when I said that thier price seems a bit high, the Forman of the company said we are not like other companies that put a bunch of monkies on the back of the truck. Last fall we needed our roof replaced and wanted to hire local. After talking with the owner Kev, we figured he seemed like a genuine guy and assured us that his crew was neat and professional. His crew was timely, they showed up within a couple of days and finished the large job in 2 days. Unfortunately, they were neither neat or professional. It took me about 20 minutes of walking the edge of our house with a nail magnet (that I bought from Home Depot for cheap) to pick up roughly 100 roofing nails, both new and old. I see other roofing companies using industrial sized nail magnets to clean up after themselves so no one steps on a nail and puts it through their foot (particularly concerning given 3 small children in our house). For some reason their people don't use socks on their ladders or stabilizer bars, so they left dings and marks on our siding and gutters. I'd have let those go, if not for the other issue. Someone within their company hit and bent our wrought iron railing (which causes it to buckle in several places and compromised the concrete. Kevin acknowledged someone in his organization did the damage and they would fix it. I called Kevin 5 or 6 times and he continued to tell me they would deal with it, that was almost a year ago. The short of it is use another local roofer, Roofers Edge was unprofessional and dodged us when they caused damage. We would never recommend them to anyone in the future. read more

I would not use this company. They came in and did the job very quickly and left a big mess. I picked up more than 50 nails on the patio. When asked to come clean up all the shingles left in an ivy bed, they never came. When there was a question about one of the roofs, I called every week for 6 consecutive weeks, they never came. I ended up hiring another roofer to look at the problem. The owner is a slick talker but there is no follow-up once the job is done. read more

Some years ago we hired Roofers Edge to install some attic insulation (blown-in, specifically). This spring we hired them to re- side our house, replacing old, worn brown siding with a better quality vinyl (medium green). The crew did a great job, finished within a week and a half. We were very pleased with the work; so, when Kevin Blakeman of Roofers Edge offered us a great price to replace our roof (which we had planned to replace within the next couple of years, anyway), we jumped at it. A crew of seven removed the old roof and installed the new one within the day. The end result is that our neighbors went "Wow; love your house!" Kevin sent prospects by our house to see the work; and some friends of ours signed up with Roofers Edge and had their house re-sided last week. Kevin, owner of Roofers Edge, is super responsive during the sales process but hard to reach after. The did fast work getting our new roof and gutter installed. Unfortunately they did not install the drip edge correctly. Instead of leaving a gap so the water drips into the gutter, it was installed tight against the fascia board. Every time it rains we get a significant amount of water coming in between the gutter and the fascia board and now have damage to the fascia and likely siding and other wood since the water is running down the house. I strongly recommend thinking twice before using Roofers Edge. read more

I'm already praying my neigh or doesn't hire this man. He parked in front of their home, too far from the sidewalk and I literally cannot back out of my driveway since he's blocking me. OK fine, I ask how long he's going to be, and instead of answering me asks when I'm leaving and tells me he will "keep an eye out for me so I can move my truck". Long and short I'm in my driveway, I hate confrontation so now I'm not going anywhere. The most inconsiderate and rude "professional" I've dealt with in a while. I called and spoke to the owner Kevin who sent in Ken right away. He was proffesional, upfront and provided a quote that was comparable to what we expected. I showed him a rebate coupon they had in the papers and even though my siding job is not big enough to qualify for the promotion, he prorated the size of the job and took off a few hundred dollars. That was good. However what impressed me most was Ken's attention to detail in making sure everything we discussed was documented. I had them redo all of our gutters and downspouts and some fascia boards. I really like Kevin but after the job is done you are in your own. The installer was asking me my opinion about which way the downspouts should go!?! I am not an engineer nor a roofer. After contacting the owner Kevin several times to fix some things we were not happy with, and trying to make appointments, several times, he would always cancel. The gutters overflow even though we keep the debris totally clear. I finally hired a roofer this year and we will be spending a few more thousand dollars to correct the issues. Despite being a really nice guy, Kevin turned out to be very disappointing. Don't fall for the decent prices. You get what you pay for. read more

This rating is as good as it gets! I had a handful of contractors look at my (large) roof and their estimate was very competitive. However our meeting with the owner, Kevin Blakeman, sealed the deal. He was on time, personable, and very professional. When we wanted to see a specific color option (that wasn't in the book), Kevin had his foreman deliver a full package of the shingle so we could place pieces on and around the roof. Roofer's Edge delivered on time and exceeded our expectations. We counted 13 people the first day and they were done in two. The project took longer than expected but it was because we ordered custom doors and made changes which he was receptive about. Terrible job. Basically comes in with 10 unskilled workers and tries to complete everything within a day. Shingles were uneven and items listed in the contract he didn't complete. Can't talk to any of the workers as they don't speak any english. If there's a problem then Kevin comes by after its too late. Basically tries to convince you that's how it's supposed to be with all his experience. He doesn't know anything about laying shingles, just knows sales. Damaged downspouts and sides of the house. Didn't even fix. I called him repeatedly after and he acted as if we spoke for the first time. Do not hire unless you need a quick, cheaper and mediocre outcome. Roofer's Edge and Siding replaced a bay window in my house. The window leaked from the moment it was installed. The owner told me that the window was fine but I needed new shielding, new roof, new gutters and more insulation in my attic. I did all of the above and the window still leaked. It leaked more at the end of each job. Finally I called Harvey Windows. They manufactured the window. They told me that the window was not installed properly and there was no flashing installed. Roofer's Edge and Siding never returned my calls. I called my own contractor. He leveled the window and put in flashing. The job took about an hour. It has not leaked since. The good news in this story is that I did not use Roofer's Edge and Siding for the shielding, roof, gutters or insulation. I will never use them again. read more
