They were so pleasant and everything was wonderful! We decided to keep the sign out extra long and I gave out the business card to a coworker. I would recommend them to anyone. In November of 2025 I had my roof replaced by Roofing Rochester. Things appeared to be fine until I happened to notice during a heavy rain that the rain was coming down between the gutter and the house. Somehow water is getting through in a place that very much seemed to be impossible, at least I thought it was They initially responded and said they'd send someone to look at it. But then never showed up. When I contacted them they said they were busy and would keep me updated. Since then they have been ignoring my messages. And its been 2 weeks. Potential customers beware: Roofing Rochester removed ice damming from our roof in February 2025, which caused a leak, interior damage, and mold requiring repairs to our kitchen/dining room. We also replaced a large portion of the roof. They quoted $9k for a Cold Roof System to prevent future ice damming, guaranteeing a commercial-grade membrane over the cricketed area, extending 3 feet up the connecting roof and at least 12 inches up all roof-to-wall transitions to create a watertight system capable of handling ponding or backup. Work was completed in June 2025. We raised concerns with the project manager Ed about one area but were assured it would be "water tight." We then invested an additional $70k with another contractor to renovate the interior. On February 5, 2026, ice damming and a leak occurred again in the exact same area. We contacted Roofing Rochester and spoke with Andray, who charged $1,200 for ice removal (discounted from $2,200). Without inspecting the roof, he blamed insufficient insulation rather than the Cold Roof System, despite our original contract stating the roof cavities were full of insulation. After requesting an in person inspection, we were told we'd be prioritized once weather allowed. Despite at least 10 clear days, no follow up or inspection occurred. Follow-up only happened when we repeatedly contacted Andray, who seemed unfamiliar with our case each time. On March 2, we were told scheduling was in progress. We requested a manager or owner inspect the work given our concerns. On March 10 when we called to follow up, we were told the owner was out of town. On March 13, the original project manager Ed reached out to inspect alone, which we declined given that he has supervised the previous work. Multiple calls requesting the owner went unreturned. However, after I filed a complaint with the BBB he responded to that with multiple inaccuracies about the events I detailed above, including that THEY told us an in person inspection was necessary but we declined it. Two other companies have since inspected the roof and quoted between $3-5k to fix the issue. We felt the owner's lack of attempt to contact us was indicative of their level of commitment to resolving the issue so we filed with small claims court. When the court date arrived, Roofing Rochester did not show and there was a default judgement in our favor. When I contacted them to arrange for payment I was informed that they would be appealing the decision through their attorney. Obviously it's their right to appeal, but just seems silly to go through that if you can't be bothered to show up for the scheduled court date! read more

Sharing my experience so other homeowners can make informed decisions. I signed a contract with this company in August 2025 for the roof replacement and solar installation, and paid a substantial 50% deposit. 8 months later they haven't done anything: no work has started, no materials delivered, no crew on site, and no building permit. The owner is MIA and has not responded to repeated phone calls or emails over several weeks. I sent a written request to terminate the contract and return the deposit. No response. I have filed a Consumer Frauds Complaint with the New York Attorney General's office. I am sharing this experience publicly so other homeowners considering this contractor have the information I wish I had before signing. read more

They lost a check after first swearing their bank would not cash it-??? Their phone mail box is often full. They left junk in a neighors driveway when she came home. While it was eventually removed, she could not park anywhere on HER OWN DRIVEWAY. They originally claimed the work would take 2 days, took more like 5. Workers very rude. AVOID. I tried doing a solar project with them and after months of nothing happening, we finally started getting something going with a site survey. Then the survey kept getting rescheduled over and over again so I decided to just pull the plug on the prioject. I waited over a week to find out what the steps were to get a refund of my deposit. They want to keep 25% of the total cost of the project, not even the deposit amount, citing permits and materials ordered (which I find suspicious, who orders materials for a site unseen). I was expecting the 10% fee, but the fact that they went and want to charge me 25% seems like they're just blatantly trying to rob me. It's now been a month since I requested receipts for the materials and permits that have supposedly been ordered. I email, no response. I call Jeremy Austin, it goes to voicemail. I text I get a response days later saying he "was out of office" same response I received two weeks in a row. Then I get told they're waiting on receipts from the accountant who, apparently was also out of office. I email the office itself and they respond like my project is still happening like they didn't even bother to read the body of the email. I was trying to avoid contacting the NY AG, but it's what's next on my list of things to do. I wouldn't trust this company with your $$$. Find someone else. read more

They are not BBB approved. They rent an office on Chili Ave. They hire immigrants that use their phones to translate. They don't get permits unless they get caught. Our inspector made them tear everything off and start all over because they didn't have a permit, used sub-standarded plywood that was not up to code, didn't replace any damaged plywood. Two production managers left and we had to call after 8 weeks of waiting to find out this company was restructuring! We signed contracts in good faith. Is this worth all the trouble, NO. We had two jobs done at the same time. Replacing the roof on the house and adding a tarp to the barn. While I happy to say the house roof is not leaking now, they moved the gutter when they reattached it and it doesn't look to catch all the water coming off. But the part that disappoints me most is that they decided the flower garden next to the house and the outside entrance to the basement was where they decided to toss the old roof as they removed it. Needless to say we have no garden now and the metal covering to the basement entrance is all dented. Although their website says they have installed 5-year tarps elsewhere, the tarps they put on the barn (I think it was 6 small ones instead of 1 large one) only lasted 3 weeks last fall before they were flapping in the wind and covering only 25% of the barn. $2500 for something that only lasted 3 weeks ! Quality of job is excellent. Professionalism leaves much too be desired. Roofers left my yard a mess and left equipment and supplies on my neighbor's property. They also dropped hundreds of pounds of shingles on my flower bed destroying most of them. Communication was almost non existent unless I engaged. Told me it would be fine in 2.5 days yet it took until the following business day to get completed, leaving a dumpster in my driveway for the entire weekend. No one communicated that they needed an extra full day or that the dumpster would have to stay in the driveway for longer than planned. Called to complain and never heard back after I was told I would hear back. Like I said quality of the work is excellent. But the customer service and professionalism is amateurish. Hired for a roofing and siding job in September of 01'. Was told the roof would be replaced in November and was done in April...and only as a result of constant follow up. Didn't install contracted skylights. Was told they "didn't come in" and it was too late to install them plus the spot I picked (and was again in the plan) was impossible. To this day, cannot get a refund for skylights. Even more egregiously, siding was promised in Jan of 22'. Was told in April that it was never ordered?!?!? Then promised by June and, with no communication, was not done. Was told three times that a check would be mailed for my refund and they keep lying about it being lost in the mail. Was not happy with the way the roof looked after it was done. I messaged them and the owner came and looked at it. Gave nothing but excuses but agreed to fix it. This happened on Saturday, 7/13 and promised it would be fixed on Monday, 7/15. Also promised the dumpster would be picked up on 7/15. Well low and behold the dumpster was not picked up and it was not fixed. The owner called me and said he would come Tuesday, 7/16 at 7am and do it himself. Well I left the house at 8:30am nothing done. I was going out of town and unable to check on it. I called my neighbor at 6pm on 7/16 and she confirmed the dumpster was gone but all the extra supplies were still in the yard. About a week later I received a text message that the roof was fixed and the supplies were gone. Came home today, 7/30 to find some of the supplies still in the yard!!! Took pictures and sent them to the owner. He called with more excuses and said he would pick them up today. That was at 12:50pm. Well here it is now 7:30pm and still have the supplies here. We highly recommend this company. We had an incredible experience working closely with Paul and Mike. The crew arrived on time and worked diligently. We had one incident that was at no fault of the company. A pop up shower came in and although the crew worked quickly to cover up the roof, we still had rain come in the house and garage. Mike and Paul (the owner) arrived quickly and called an Environmental crew in to rectify the problem. Again, this was Mother Nature's fault, not the company's. We can not speak highly enough of the work crew leader Mario. He was very efficient, kind and worked extremely hard. Our house has extremely unique architecture and it really gave me piece of mind to visit their offices to ensure this was the correct crew to entrust with our roof. There must have been over a dozen people at their office, all with smiles and super professional; we were very pleased with the interactions we had with their team leaders and office staff. Could not get these guys to follow through. First guy came out to my house and did an estimate for a repair, claimed they could probably get my insurance company to pay for the whole roof. Got an estimate from the insurance company for just the repair. Roofing rep was supposed to contact the insurance company to negotiate, never did. Had to call Roofing Rochester to find out their rep had been let go, they sent another guy out to do another estimate. After a week with no response from Roofing Rochester, I called and they said they were waiting on the insurance company. Called the insurance company who said the roofer had not contacted them.
