Our neighbor just had her roof redone by Stellar. Here are pictures of debris left in out driveway. Well over 20 nails. When I spoke to the "foreman" all he kept saying is they use magnet. I know first time home owner and should always read everything, lessons learned the hard way. $25,000 and it didn't cover the eaves that fell with our roof, apparently it wasn't in our contract. A couple of small items taken care of by Tony Gonzales, our project manager, afterwards, but that has been it. For all the many nails they picked up after the job, I picked up hundreds more after they had left. I'm glad they didn't end up in he mower. So far the roof is still on through these raging winds! BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT USE! Ryan the estimator arrived at the appointment on time. From there, the appointment went down hill quickly. I asked the same questions of the 4 roofing companies I contacted. The questions included when can you start, I need recommendations, how does Stellar protect my property, specifically my landscaping, etc. His response was I'll get back to you. He repeatedly talked about other roofing companies naming as many as he could think of and how awful they were. My appointment was to.learn about what Stellar provided. Red flag to bad mouth their competition. He concluded the appointment with, " How can I get you to sign today? " I was clear that I had appointments and would consider all of them. The only thing stellar about Stellar is their astonishing lack of ethics and the fact that they were ridiculously over ALL estimates I obtained. I would not trust them with my home. Do your homework and obtain estimates. I ended up going with a company that in the middle, but the roofing company I went with was professional, knowledgeable and did an excellent job from start to finish. Avoid Stellar. The salesperson although not a bad guy, used the worse sales tactics ever! Talking bad about the competition and discrediting other companies and making assumptions that only Stellar uses first quality products and that all others buy seconds. That right there is a red flag. Also just made up stuff that I know for a fact are disingenuous. Then the kicker is that he gives me a quote double almost every other company in the Syracuse region. was looking for a quote for stand and seam roofing. had their guy stop over, spent more time talking about their company and trying to upsell it then the products they actually use. a hour later when I got the estimate it was wayyy out of my price range that I was looking for and 3x higher then other companies. I thanked the guy for his time and that I wasn't comfortable with the price he shot back "some people can't afford a seller roof I get it" when I explained I do , this would of been a cash deal he got pushy where I told told him that he needs to leave now. Very impressed with Stellar Roofing's work on my roof replacement. The salesman, Devan provided a detailed overview of the project and the crew delivered on it. Despite it being a big job that took two full days, Rudy's crew and Julian's project management were careful and thorough. A link was provided to see real time photos of the work as it was done, and Julian was available by phone or text for any questions along the way. I had a few specific concerns and requests that were dealt with promptly and completely. They protected my property from debris and the clean up was top notch, barely leaving a trace. I had a roof leak and they are listed as emergency roofers. Called them at 4 pm today, was told someone would contact me. I just called again at 8:20 pm and this time was toled emergency service is for current customers only . Today they called me back. Apparently, they are listed as emergency roofers in error. I called Stellar about my leaking sky light. Trevor Dear a roofing specialist came out for me. Upon his observation he showed me pictures of the deterioration of the whole roof. He explained everything to me and a date was set. He was so professional and I understood everything they would do plus my shed roof would be done. They did a great job and worked the whole day on both. Grady Johnson was the project manager and was there to help and saw that everything went well. I want to go sollar but was told my 25 year old roof needed replacement. Adam Zawistoeski, a roofing specialist from Stellar Roofing, came to our home and gave us a detailed plan of a standing Seam Metal roof. He showed us how this type of roof will allow a Solar contractor to put up solar pannels using clamps and not making any holes in our new roof. In three days we had a complete roof tear off and new standing seam metal roof installed. Our project manager, Mark DePinto, was great to work with. Ruben, his second in command, kept all the guys and gals in line while Mark traveled to his other sites. Every morning they were here at 8:30 AM and never left till 7:30 PM. I never have seen such a skilled, hard working group of young people in my life. We have had a pretty miserable experience with Stellar Roofing. There was little to no contact from the Project Manager while the roofing was being done by a 3rd party hire, which I did not hire Juarez Home Improvements, Inc, 585-416-8175, when we had asked if all the workers were stellars and were obviously not told the truth. The foreman was a no show. After it was "completed", we found out how bad they really were, leaving our landscaping damaged, holes in our new pool liner from roofing nails and shingles. we found several areas of damage to our home including marks on our from peaks from single tar, nails left all over our grass/driveway/property, roofing material all over the grounds around our house. They did come back to clean our peak, remove wires left from stuff removed from original roof, but the kicker was our pool we have been losing water daily and I could not figure out how, then I found the roofing nails from the tear off were dumped into our pool and had likely put hole(s) in the liner. I have written several emails to the info address with no reply except Alyssa stating she passed it on to management. Absolutely unprofessional, dishonest, and not worth your time, Look elsewhere. I have been in business 44 year and never been treated like this by anyone nor have I every done this to one of my customers. I contacted Stellar to get an estimate on adding insulation and ventilation to my roof. The salesperson came out and tried to sell us an entirely new roof at a completely ridiculous price. They were pushy and tried to get us to sign a contract right on the spot. I had to basically tell them to get out of our house. Salesman stopped to discuss my roof, not knowing when it was installed I'd been concerned for awhile on its life. We set an appointment, discussed my needs after a thorough inspection and decided to go with Stellar, but being December was going against suggested time for roof replacement but was assured of their method. The day arrived, lake effect snow started, the crew arrived at 7, the project manager, Jena, shortly after, introducing herself. Those fellas worked so hard all day, finished my house, garage and shed just before dark. Jena kept in touch with me throughout the build, inspected the premises the next day that I was satisfied. We called Steller for a roof quote. A Salesman came to our house to give us an evaluation and a quote. We liked everything he had to say until the very end of the sales pitch. He gave us an ultimatum. We could not get the discount that he offered us unless we signed a contract that day. His excuse was that his time was valuable and that if he had to follow up on his sales meeting with us it would cost his company too much money. We said no way would we decide before getting other quotes. We immediately had a mistrust for Steller. What were they hiding? The salesman then gave us TWO days to decide. When he called back, we politely told him we would not be using Steller. That follow up call could not have been that expensive! Two weeks later, a young man from Steller said he was in the neighborhood doing work for other homes and would I like a free evaluation! Coincidence???? I think not! read more

Everything started out great: we received the estimate, and the sales pitch. Sounded great. BUT...the salesman either misrepresented the company/process (lied) or remains blissfully unaware. We were assured our property would be protected (covered, tarped, etc) - including our pool. We were told of the "high standards" and the desire for us to have a positive experience. Then the job started...no other word: CHAOS. There was ZERO regard/respect for our our property: minimal tarping/covering, pool was NOT protected (as promised), deck furniture was carelessly stacked in a corner on the deck, brand new hot tub cover was gouged, garbage (roofing stuff and non-roofing stuff - Kool-aid juice boxes/straws/plastic) was everywhere (even after "clean up"), landscaping was damaged (beautiful butterfly bush with HUGE sentimental meaning was pretty much cut in half from roofing debris, our japanese maple was skinned/damaged)....we were NOT prepared for any of this chaos. Everytime my poor dogs (4 of them!) had to go outside, I had to inspect a "path" from our front door to the side yard - picking up nails/roofing debris so my dogs wouldn't step on/ingest anything (I had asked for a protected area for them - yeah, right). The "crew" didn't seem very skilled (tripped the ground breaker on outside outlets and had no clue how to "fix", vent was put up extremely crooked and had to be pointed out by my husband, horrific "clean up"). We were promised spotless cleanup - a leaf blower was used on our deck - pointed towards the pool (uncovered), debris was found everywhere after crew was "done" -nails, plastic pieces, shingle pieces, plastic pieces - all different sizes, and Kool Aid junk! We were not prepared for the late nights (almost 9 PM first night, 8 PM second night - even the "project manager" had no clue was the crew's hours were - he tried to schedule a "walk-thru" for completion at a time when crew wasn't even half way done). We reached out to the owner, the salesman, project manage on the first night - to express our concerns/discontent. Everybody blamed everybody else - no answers. Our hot tub cover was replaced. Roof (I wouldn't call stellar!) is complete. There were repairs to be done - honestly, no idea if they were. The "work" we can see is mediocre, but a chaotic process to get there. What about the work we can NOT see???? No efforts to help with better clean up - especially our pool (in which I did find a lot of debris and nails). Customer service is NON EXISTANT!!!! They even dodged calls when we tried to express our dissatisfaction! Either (not-so) Stellar Roofing just doesn't care about the customer, or they are just too big and customer satisfaction fell off. If I knew that I would have to do this much clean up, and witness the damage of my property, I would have expected a much cheaper price. read more

Our roof was completed in one day as described and attention was given to cleaning up the yard and patio when they were done and they did a good job. I would like to recommend Stellar Roofing if you need a new roof. They did an excellent job putting on my new roof. Very nice installers to work with. They were done about 6.5 hours from removing the old roof to cleaning up. They did a great job cleaning up the debris around the house. The roofing specialist Justin Hammond was a pleasure to work with. Not pushy to get the sale and took the time to explain all my options in material and for cost. Being able to work with me on getting a discount to make it more affordable for me and being able while meeting with me to get me approved with a credit company so they can get me scheduled as soon as possible. I had wind damage that cause problem's of shingles missing and a 8 foot section of shingles that were lifted up. Justin also took the time out of his day to meet up with the insurance adjuster to be of any help with what happened to my roof. Justin also pushed my date of my roof being installed from three weeks out to one week because of his concern of the roof's condition because of all the rain we have been getting and didn't want me to have anymore problems. It was also a great experience to work with Jeff Hare the Project Manager to go over all the final details of the job and made sure I was happy with the final project.
