Everyone kept telling me Hotel rooms in New York are small. I'm a tell you right now they are Trippin. Homegirl found a room that was perfect for us. We had the pleasure to stay at roommate Anna in Barcelona. So when I found out about Grace in New York I was sold. Customer service was outstanding shout out to Marcos. Even the manager was really nice. We got there early so she held our luggage so we can grab some Joe's pizza. Even accommodated us for a late check out at 2 PM. The Grace suite is the best. That shower bathtub combo perfect. I know there's a lush cosmetics in New York but I came prepared when I flew out from San Francisco. Bubble bombs all day and night. Shit that was my office for a little bit because of the time difference. The cleaning ladies were also very sweet. The room smelled great when they left. A very central area perfect for exploring. Even the guests were very friendly! I met amazing couples in the elevator. Met a few women total mom goals. If you're looking for a spacious place to stay it's at the top floor. I was so sad that I wasn't able to use the pool this time. I was too busy running around visiting family. Totally coming back! Also checking out the one in Miami so I can say I've been to all of them.

Wow ! what an amazing hotel. I just wanted to take the time to thank Juliana for her great hospitality. She made me feel so comfortable during my stay and that really means a lot to me being that I travel alone. Besides the employees being a such amazing staff, the room and hotel I should say itself, is very beautiful. From the dimmed halls to the beautiful room. Not the mention the beautiful indoor pool they have. I recommend it to anyone looking to stay near time square. VERY BEAUTIFUL

Although I live close to NYC, from time to time, on special occasions we like to rent a hotel room directly in the pit of hell.. um.. er.. Time Square. It's nice to enjoy a show, have dinner/drinks along with a nightcap without worrying about how am I going to get home. Just stumble down the street and land on your rented bed. Truly, Room Mate Grace was a nice place to land. The small hotel room is well thought out along with a lot of style. The shower is a large space with a rainfall head to get you nice and soaked. Our queen sized bed was upon a platform, which might make people with mobility issues struggle to enter, but I found it fun. Sink outside the pocket doored toilet and shower area so your roommate can finish getting ready while you shower. Our hallway wallpaper had me trippin' out with the alternating stripes. Most importantly the room was quiet even with a large window facing the street and the AC kept the room nice and cool. All very comfortable. Buffet style breakfast was included in our rate. It had a large variety in the mirrored eating area. Scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, juices, fruit, breads, muffins, donuts, espresso machine and even pancakes at a touch of a button. There is a small pool, which is nice but seems more like a novelty for such a large hotel.

Stay here!! The price is so fair for the location, the super friendly staff, and the cozy compact stylish rooms. The pool and sauna are also a nice touch. Staying in this Midtown Time's Square area is perfect for walking to anything you may want or need. If you are traveling here to explore all the grounds of NYC, this is the perfect hotel for your ground zero. Very comfortable beds, clean room and bathroom and coffee, tea, and kettle for hot water included. The point of being in NYC is to get out and explore it and this hotel promotes that as the space is small enough to make you want to get outside, yet cozy and clean so you have a pleasant cove to retreat to after a long day of adventuring. Cheers to this exciting and bustling city!!

The place smelled amazing as soon as we entered the revolving doors! Great first impression! The staff- all of them were kind and helpful! The bar was quaint and a great way to start our evening with buy one get one free! The room was clean, cozy, and small- like all NYC hotels I have experienced, it's all I needed, I was only there to sleep!

We booked a standard room for one night to enjoy Broadway show and a fun city night, this hotel was perfect a s exactly what we wanted. Great location and nice staff. Our room was super cute and clean. They do have room service till 11pm and a swimming pool and bar which was a plus! They also have security that check everyone walk-in in after check in hours to ensure they are guest of the hotel, nice! We will be back soon, for sure.

For the love of the Good Man Jesus, don't drink here. Not that the drinks are weak - they're made to order - but it's actually less costly to buy a few bottles and book a room here. Isn't it more fun to change into your swimsuit in a room? Swimsuit, you say? Why, for the pool, the one sporting upper and lower lounges for mingling. That one. If you decide to drink there, tip bartender Alexis extra for me, he's on point with his drink pouring.

Not quite like the pics on their website, but more spacious than I imagined for Midtown.

Staying in Midtown sucks. Let's just start there. It's congested and dirty and it's super touristy. I always wonder about the people who invest in building hotels in this tight space. I will say that whoever sits on this board...created a unique experience and did a good job. It's important to note that I can't compare a NYC Manhattan hotel to other hotels in the country -- this is just a different monster. So yes, there are tons of hotels with tons of space that surpass this hotel, but your in midtown where there is just not enough space - period. Okay, let's get started. Checking-in The front desk staff was so amazing. They engaged in light polite conversation and were so kind with great customer service. They went through the check-in process so quickly so I could get into my room and relax. In fact, the room that I initially had didn't work for me and they were able to find a room where I could be more comfortable without protest, in fact she went through the available rooms and upgraded me. That felt great. The Room It's NYC, so don't expect a room with a view, but I got a sliver of the street with a good amount of natural light. The room was sizable with a comfy king size bed. Now, the shower! YASSSSS! Life changing. That's all I'm gonna say. I stayed in room 604. It was divine. Lots of pressure for an old building. Great for washing hair. Amenities If you are looking for a pool with a swim up bar, you don't have to go all the way to Caribbean for it. This hotel has it!!!! It's the coolest thing. With black lighting and a sauna room. The pool is behind the front desk and right next to the bar. Such a genius idea. I wish I had time to take a dip. But definitely check it out. They have a gym and also breakfast served everyday too (it didn't come with my rate). Overall If you must stay in Midtown, then I would highly recommend this hotel. I mean it's next to a popular Irish pub!! The staff is friendly and put you first. The rooms are spacious and thoughtful with excellent showers. And the amenities are creative and thoughtful. Enjoy your stay!

This hotel is very nice. Not only do they have a pool with a bar and restaurant attached the rooms are very comfortable. Their pool is open with some restrictions but you can definitely enjoy it family or just on date night. Will definitely be coming again.

"Welcome to the Grace Hotel. Here is your room key. There is a private party here tonight, but guests of the hotel are welcome to attend." Wouldn't it be grand if this were the greeting at all hotels? For Valentine's Day one year I booked a room in the city and some how ended up in Spain at one of Stewie Griffin's Sexy Parties. As usual I never know what to expect in the city, but if you are looking for a place to crash with a swim-up bar and a detoxifying sauna, then check out the Grace Hotel in Times Square. You never hear about places like this when you are a resident, but what do I know. Since I returned to the city, I heard dumpster swimming in Brooklyn became a trend. After dinner and drinks, we arrived back at the hotel and were greeted by a man with a clip board. Expectedly, we were not on the list, thus uninvited to the sexy party, until the bouncer overruled him and said right this way... Essentially it felt like we escaped the U.S. and had a private party for two. It was Fashion week and the party was very international. No one looked our way. We were American, out of place, and probably poorly dressed. Nevertheless, we enjoyed two free hours of open bar courtesy of Daviddelfin. Thanks dude!

It being New York, all we really needed was LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. For $115/night (thanks to Hotwire), we managed to stay at the Room-Mate Grace for 3 fun nights.. The hotel itself is very chic.. I absolutely loved the mod decor, the layout, and how the pool/bar is set up. Breakfast is served late every morning (although we skipped it every day but the last), and once again - the LOCATION is perfect. I love that the Kwik Meal's right across the street!

Due to a huge venue mix-up, three friends' birthdays were moved, at the last minute, to this club. I can't say anything about the rooms since we were only in the city to party. We were SO lucky to have had a hookup, otherwise I very much doubt our group of 50+ would have been able to get in. We ordered several bottles and those that didn't contribute, paid at the bar. TOTALLY agree with Dave H. when he says this is a terrible idea. Popping bottles is the way to go. We had Ciroc Coconut with pineapple, which the lovely waitress recommended. We were in the upper section of the club, overlooking the pool. Speaking of which, I really didn't like the pool. I .. don't get it. The whole place smelled like chlorine and felt really muggy. Not only that, the d-bags in the pool kept aiming their inflated beach balls at our group. Several people were hit with the wet beach balls and many, many drinks were knocked out of hands. Some sort of barrier (glass, perhaps) should be installed upstairs to prevent this from happening. *shrug* Like I said, I don't really "get" why the pool was there in the first place. I don't know what this adds to a nightclub. Anyhow, the event was a lot of fun and my group got very drunk. The music was Top 40s and just .. okay. I'd go back!

For this Marriott the location is excellent if you are going to watch a show on Broadway. Very convenient for the play and also get a subway to anywhere else you have to go. The rooms are generally very nice and this hotel also has everything connected and controlled through a tablet which is very appealing to me. They also have a nice bar right in the hotel that is open till late. The only downside is the size. Now hotels in major cities like this like New York or Tokyo are small and pricey. Two things that can sort of negatively affect your opinion but considering they are all like that in the area, you have to compare accordingly. The only real downside for me is that the toilet is literally next to to the shower to the point that you could shower while using the toilet (I took a picture of my hand holding the shower handle on top of the toilet seat as a joke) and the sink is outside to wash your hands after using the restroom. I feel that they could have done a better design for this to avoid it. It didn't appeal to me and it's the only thing keeping me from giving this hotel 5 stars. I will probably stay here again when I go to watch another play.

The room itself was mostly ok. One thing I really didn't like was the air conditioning. It wouldn't cool below 68 degrees. I despise hotels that throttle the A/C. I'd get warm, the air would finally kick on, I'd be comfortable for about ten minutes...then the cycle would repeat all night. Another thing that caught me off guard was the ceiling. Other than those complaints, everything else in the room was perfectly acceptable, and for a one night stay, it did the job.

Often times NYC misses this in their hotels. The books here aren't anything you really want to read so bring your own books but all in all 5+ stars for me!

This is a bustling hotel with a large lobby. I visited for a conference. The hotel has a couple of…read moreexits, but the main entrance is on 6th avenue. All the meeting rooms were clean and organized. We had over 1,000 conference attendees and needed ample space and everything went pretty smoothly. Temperature control was generally good, but got a tiny bit chilly at certain points of the day. The staff were extremely prompt with setting up and removing catering food, but were not the friendliest. They have a free standing pumping station for those that need it. It was easy to access and decently clean, but could've used a wipe down by the second day. They provided a mini fridge in one of the meeting rooms for storage.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! DO NOT BOOK HERE!…read more I came here around April for a work trip and no where on the reservation page did it say that the hotel was under construction. They also offered the price including breakfast. Arrived at the hotel and saw that they only had one working elevator for a hotel that was over 20 floors high. There was a line for the elevator that you had to wait for at least 20 minutes to take. I asked the about the breakfast and they said the restaurant was closed so no hot breakfast. Why is this hotel offering a room rate price with breakfast when there is no restaurant for breakfast?! They told me they had bagged breakfast, which was always gone and coffee was all gone too. Took over 10 minutes to wait for new coffee to arrive. Renovation work bright and early at 8am. I was offered loyalty points for compensation by the manager, Delanie, and these points never showed up. I was also mistakenly charged for drinking their water bottles when I didn't even touch those bottles. They never even told me that I was going to be charged after checking out. I just saw a random extra charge on my credit card. The manager, Delanie, had said this would be refunded, but never saw this refund come through just like the loyalty points.
