I am late giving reviews for Casablanca hotel. My experience to stay at hotel Casablanca was very good. My daughter and I stayed there for two nights. The staff is very pleasant and very helpful. Rooms are small but hey, it's New York, what can we expect. Big city Anyways, I like that they have very good breakfast place, and good food choices. And the best part is it was right in the Times Square. But, you would hear all the noise of city even though it is right in the middle of all the huddle bustle. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I stayed at one of their sister facilities several years and I was planning to stay there again on my last trip but decided to stay here instead because of its location and it was a tab bit cheaper. I love the location right next to Times Square and easy access to a number subway lines. Uptown, Downtown, Queens, Bronx, and Brooklyn are all easy to reach from here. It is walking distance to most of the major tourist sites in Midtown. For a mid-city location, the room and bathroom are a good size. The bed was a full size and is comfortable. My room had a small seating table with 2 chairs and a deep closet. It was more than enough room for 2 people. Bathroom is spacious but could use a little more counter space around the sink. Water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. My room had a window and morning sun but I do not think I looked out at window one time. I love the amenities on the second floor for snacks and coffee. It was a nice place to relax for a few minutes after a long day of touring to relax before heading up to my room. Wi-Fi was good and fast. Their was rarely anyone there during my stay. There is a little outdoor terrace off to the side if you wanted a little fresh air. I love the architecture in the stairwell leading up beyond the second floor. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. read more

We would stay here again without hesitation! The hotel staff were all fantastically friendly, and the hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and amazingly quiet for being steps from Times Square and the theaters. We got great recommendations and help with reservations for food from the front desk. Rick's Cafe lounge area in the hotel is so comfy, with very tasty breakfast in the morning and was just a nice space that we took advantage of being able to hang out in. Tony's DiNapoli next door was fantastic--we went there multiple times for drinks or for dinner during the course of our 4 day stay. I'd recommend this spot to anyone! read more

From our first contact on the phone, the staff was very impressive as they were on our arrival. The location was great for our Broadway shows, there's a door connecting to Tony's Di Napoli restaurant where we enjoyed our dinner on Christmas Day. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully appointed. Interior design was warm and had a historic Moroccan art deco feel. Beautiful woodwork and Moroccan tile throughout. Rick's cafe and the breakfasts were terrific, mostly due to the friendly and helpful staff. Thank you ladies, you do a great job! The people here at the Casablanca were the stars of the show. They treated us like royalty with authentic care, friendliness and competence. What a great surprise in Times Square. First I must declare the excellence of the Casablanca staff. From the doorman to housekeeping to the kitchen to the front desk; I have never had such consistently friendly and hospitable experiences in any hotel. They made our stay special. They even helped me get some NYC bagels to bring home. The building is also nicely decorated in a fun and exotic way, and was very clean. Our room was comfortable with plenty of storage. And the location was in the center of everything we wanted to see. If you are not used to the noise of NYC, make sure to bring earplugs, because people love to honk and there are always sirens at night. But that is true of every hotel in this area. read more

We had a beyond lovely stay at Casablanca. My fiancé wanted to stay somewhere close to Time Square, and at first, I was very hesitant, but then I found Casablanca! Entering the hotel feels like finding a quiet oasis in the midst of the New York hustle and bustle, and despite the lack of a view (which was not important to me) and a little bit of city noise, our stay was overall very relaxing. Our room itself was larger than I was expecting. We were told that we had been 'upgraded', but I'm not sure how different our original room may have been. While the decor is slightly outdated, I found it charming and well-kept. Our room was also super, super clean, which I alway appreciate! I loved their lounge area on the second floor where they served a complimentary continental breakfast every morning and then had snacks and drinks available for guests throughout the day. The continental breakfast was simple but more than enough to keep us satisfied. The snacks and drinks were a really nice touch - and as tourists it also made our lives easier because we always had access to bottled water and snacks for our day trips. Finally, the staff super helpful and friendly regardless of the time of day. They were definitely a huge reason why our stay was so enjoyable. read more

With every NY trip, we try a new hotel. This venue was recommended by a good friend. Scheduling reservations was super easy. The hotel even scheduled our car service to a d from the airport. The hotel located in the heart of Times Square but once inside, you'd never know it. The boutique hotel is well kept & housekeeping keeps the rooms clean and well stocked. We were given a mini fridge without asking which was nice. They Also gifted us a celebration bottle of wine. We booked a room with a window that ended up facing an alley of sorts. The windows were helpful to balance the forced heat and we were unable to figure out the AC. For future stays, I'd choose 1 of the interior rooms with just a shower. Those showers were more spacious (I was able to view a room ) than our's with a tub combo. The continental breakfast was beyond helpful. The staff even provided a tray to carry to our room. The coffee options were awesome. We were there for 7 days. Found it interesting that only men ran the front desk. But, they were all very friendly. We only asked for help (beyond the car services and cabs) once Torry and get dinner reservations nextdoor but Tony's was booked. This isn't a modern "fancy" hotel that may come across as dated but it is clean with a good amount of storage space . Lastly, the prices were much better than any other venues we looked into. read more

Location location location. This is literally next to Time Square and close to many of the big sights that are a short walk away. We were even a 20 minute walk to Central Park. If you are a first timer to Manhattan, you'll want to be about as close to time square as you can get if you want to checkout the touristy sights as they are all pretty close by. The service here is personable and kind and the rooms are much nicer than the big chain hotels we've stayed at in NYC. It is a safe, surprisingly clean spot that we would recommend to anyone. The price is also great for a 4 star hotel in NYC. Our room did not have a view, which was unfortunate, but again, a small sacrifice for a clean and comfortable stay in Manhattan that doesn't cost $1000 a day. In my opinion, you should stay here instead of a big chain hotel that has a room that has a view. The views are nice, but you don't get the quality or convenience you do here. after walking around all day, you'll want the comfort. How much time are you gonna be in your room anyway instead of being out in it! read more

All staff members were consistently helpful and friendly. our rooms with a King bed was exceptionally ample and comfortable. AC worked perfectly. (It was June!) Complementary continental breakfast. Spent three nights at the Casablanca Hotel this week. Was a very nice smaller hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are smaller, but very clean and comfortable. The vibe and feel inside is chill and relaxing. A nice lounge to relax in, read in, watch TV. Mornings had great coffee and breakfast food with very friendly staff. Snacks, drinks, fruit, and coffee was available at all hours. I would highly recommend this location for anyone staying near Times Square. Easy walking distance to Broadway, easy access to the subway, and an all over centrally located "home base". read more

We quite love the Casablanca! It offers a quiet, charming, utterly welcome retreat in the heart of Midtown, steps from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. We've stayed here twice now, and it's become our first choice for visits to the city. With friendly staff, rooms larger than many in Manhattan, and an inviting lounge with a vintage vibe that offers a good continental breakfast until 10am, and snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks all day, there's a lot to recommend this small jewel box hotel! After a brisk day walking the city, sitting in the lounge by the fire with a cappuccino or a sparkling water is a lovely respite. Rooms are attractive and nicely appointed. They don't include refrigerators, which would be a nice perk, but I haven't found the absence a problem. Most rooms don't offer much of a view, but they are scrupulously clean and astonishingly quiet for Midtown, and those things matter far more to me! And I find the old-world charm of the style vastly more appealing than many of the sleek, contemporary, all-steel-and-concrete hotels that pervade NYC these days. The location is terrific - it feels like EVERYTHING is close. Times Square is a half-block away, Bryant Park is around the block, and the theatre district is just a few minutes walk. Madison Square Gardens and Penn Station are a 10-minute walk, and there's a subway station a block away. For dining, the Casablanca adjoins Tony Di Napoli's family-style restaurant, which has great food and a lovely bar for an after-theatre drink. And just past that is the Mermaid Oyster Bar, offering a lovely seafood menu. And of course dozens of other options surround the immediate area. read more

Reminds me so much of European boutique hotels. We loved staying here. It's so close to TSQ. It's about 18-20 mins walk to the Empire State Building. Super close to Broadway (we walked from Miss Saigon). The place is super clean. The bathroom is also super clean. The people working here are super helpful and kind. It was raining during our stay and the hotel provided us with umbrellas. Complimentary robes and slippers in your room Complimentary continental breakfast, water and chocolates... ohhh one more thing there's always snacks at Rick's. Just something about this hotel that makes you feel at home. I would stay here again! read more

We enjoyed a great 2 night stay at the Casablanca in July! They have a wonderful staff/team that were always at the ready. The location is excellent and super close to Times Square, Theater Districts, Restaurants, Bryant Park and it was only 4 blocks to the Grand Cental train station. The breakfast area (Rick's Cafe) was open all hours and offered a yummy continental breakfast, as well as many snacks/drinks and was included in the hotel price. The room was basically sound proof from all street noise and the air conditioner worked great! The Tony Di Napoli restaurant is right next door (attached) and offers the best Italian food ever! It is served with huge family style portions AND reservations are a must. We will definitely be back to the Casablanca Hotel and stay longer next time! Thank you! read more

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Clean, charming, excellent location. What made the stay superb was the professionalism of the staff.

Normally I am not a big fan of boutique Hotels, however, Casablanca in NYC changed my opinion. Let me start with the fact that traveling across the Globe is my vice and in last year alone I have been to Hawaii, Fiji, Vienna, London, Munich, Prague, Italy, Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Scottsdale and just back from the French Riviera. With this much travel and being away from home I certainly value great hospitality and Casablanca delivered on and beyond my expectations. All of our requests prior to check-in were spot on and delivered: fridge in the room, high floor (had room 608), extra towels. They even left us bottle of red and nice note since we were celebrating our Bdays. 2 comp water bottles daily. Room was on a small side but again- this is NYC after all and what else do you need when you are out most of the time? The bathroom was very nicely decorated/great choice of tile, shower head fantastic and water pressure w/instant temp desired. You also had a walk-in closet with a safe. Very clean and spotless. To top this all off- they also have Happy Hour from 5-8 pm each day- complimentary cheese/crackers/veggies w/dip and pop corn as well as wine. I was sold as you can work while enjoying a glass of wine or simply have down time between day trips and night show/concert. You also get free continental Bfast in the am (we went out each day fro real NYC full Bfast) but enjoyed the tea and half bagel before hand while getting ready as well as juice. Coffee is not their strong point for coffee lovers. WiFi is also complimentary. Everyone is friendly and attentive. Great value for the quality especially in NYC. One thing they could improve on is restaurant recommendations- thankfully since I am huge Yelper- I normally do my research ahead of time but when we asked couple of times fro recommendations on deli/Bfast- they either sent us to not so great places or did not know about locations around the corner that were fantastic. I cant say enough good things about the Casablanca Hotel! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was full of choices, private, and the staff went above and beyond to take care of us, the 24 hour snack and drink availability was fantastic, room was lovely and mattress allowed us a great night sleep, despite proximity to time square it was very quiet, and the location was perfect for seeing all of the sights and wandering Time Square. We absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed for a week. Pros: 1) Its right in Times Square near the subway 2) Staff is super friendly and nice and helpful 3) Its clean and the AC worked well 4) When we arrived there was a chilled bottle of champagne for us. They provide robes and slippers 5) They have drinks and snacks available 24/7 for guests which was great on these super hot days. Wifi worked great too. Will be coming back for sure! read more

Although the place that this hotel is in is kinda iffy as far as cleanliness goes, the hotel itself was clean. it was a perfect place for just a night but I would definitely not stay there more than that. I felt safe inside the hotel, but not outside especially at night. The rooms are clean, but there were multiple cigarette holes in my blanket. The rooms stayed warm and it was a good experience especially for the price, but I don't think I would go back unless I needed to. read more

Casablanca is such a great hotel! The moment you walk in the staff makes you feel at home. We felt so safe coming "home" every night to someone greeting us at the door. You can tell the staff truly loves what they do. Room clean, decent size for NY, breakfast (light), 24/7 snacks. Never before have I felt this strongly about a hotel experience. From the moment we walked in for our annual NYC trip we felt like we mattered. A lot of time in NYC, you're hurried to your room and the desk staff barely speaks to you. Not this place. They still bring you to your room, carry your bags, show you around the amenities and even asked if we'd like the room temp adjusted. They told us to head next door to Tony's and even tho I'm usually a Carmine's girl- I decided after some sightseeing with my son we'd give it a shot. We walked in to Tony's and the hostess was extremely rude- not sure if it was because I had a kid with me but she just stared at me and said WHAT!?? And then demanded if I had a reservation. I ended up making one for an hour and a half later and we walked out to kill some time. Walking by Casablanca one of the guys noticed us and asked if we had gotten a table and I told him what had happened. He told me to come sit in the lobby and he'd handle it. Not only did he get us a cute back two top right away, he sent us dessert for the trouble. We had a great meal. They leave notes, chocolates and call to check on you. Old school service you just don't get anymore. Thanks Casablanca- we've finally found our NYC go to. Other good things? Comfortable beds, roomy bathrooms, comfy robes and slippers and a free breakfast on the 2nd floor in their "Ricks Cafe". Big fan. read more

My stay at the Casablanca hotel began with a phone call to fix a reservation that wasn't showing up and speaking with Brig - the night auditor. I called in the wee hours of the night and Rock and Roll star Brig took care of everything. I knew if he was any indication of the staff at the Casablanca, we'd be in good hands. When you stay in a boutique hotel you never know what you'll get. This one was lovely and charming with the Bogart movie theme prominent everywhere - the concierge room, even the DO NOT DISTURB placard. It's small in size - 6 floors with 48 rooms - but that adds to its charm. We arrived just in time for the daily, complimentary wine and cheese reception so we decided to drop everything off in the room and then head down. We had a deluxe room with a queen sized bed - room 603. Typical of NYC, the room was small in size. It was, however, nice and cozy, with everything we needed: a bed, a table and a dresser. The bathroom was spacious in comparison. Unfortunately, there was nowhere for us to plug in our phones or laptop so we unplugged a light and a clock. There also was no place to turn up the heat, or at least one we could find. The evening reception was nice - slightly crowded - but nice. It was hard to find a seat together yet we managed. We came to love this amenity which is like a concierge floor for everyone in the hotel. In the morning there's breakfast items like cereal, fresh cut fruit and baked goods. There's a great espresso machine. At night, there's cookies and coffee. Besides Brig, every staff member we came in contact with was excellent. The ladies working the hospitality room, the bellmen, the front desk - they made our stay better. When they say this hotel is steps away from the action, they weren't kidding. We quickly found ourselves in the heart of Times Square. We are used to the crowds but NEVER have seen police officers in full combat gear lined up along the street with semi-automatic machine guns in their hands. Both plays we had tickets for were located only 5 minutes away. There's a subway station nearby as well. The elevator makes a noise and bump when it lands but we got used to it. While the hotel decor and ambience was five stars, my overall experience was about 3 stars. Primarily this was because I had a street facing room and was awake all night by the sound of construction trucks working 24/7 right outside my window. Also, since this hotel is located in the heart of Broadway, lights were constantly flashing into the bedroom, even after closing all the blinds. I understand that neither the truck nor the flashing lights had anything to do with the hotel's service, but it did take away from the experience. Other than that, the service was good. Staff members were polite and professional. The continental breakfast was good, and the hotel was clean/in order. The hotel also stayed true to its Casablanca theme, because you do feel like you have stepped into early 1900's Morocco. This is a place for people who want to step into a time capsule, people who want to be in the middle of Broadway, as well as fans of "Casablanca" the movie. My only suggestion would be to request a room away from the street so you can avoid any inconveniences. read more

This is one of our favorite hotels in New York City. From the moment we entered to the moment we left, it was special. We were greeted by Jeffrey at the front desk as we arrived early and our room was ready. I'd mentioned that we were celebrating my husband's birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine in our room. They had a lovely wine and cheese spread in the evening and more than adequate breakfast in the morning. Throughout the day, they served coffee, tea, fruit and snacks. The rooms were comfortable and everything was perfectly clean. The decor was reminiscent of Morocco and the movie. Looking forward to returning to the Casablanca soon. read more

This hotel claims to be one of the top hotels but I find it far from that window air conditioners no coffee makers in the room and no views This hotel was quick to take our money and nonresponsive to Perform as promised and would not work with us in anyway to modify our reservation even weeks prior to our arrival. Although when they did not perform as promised and we secured another room at another hotel for one of the night they Quick to text me to see if I would be returning the rest of my weeks stay; it was obvious they were going to attempt to resell my room. The Hilton Garden Inn provided us a room for the first night and the next six nights we spent with Casablanca and they would not even consider crediting us in any way for the one night they were not able to provide the accommodations as promised. Very disappointing for a hotel that claims to be a Cut above the rest! read more

Casa Blanca Hotel valet DO NOT TRUST these ppl with your vehicle. I parked my vehicle with them and when I requested my vehicle they brought me the wrong vehicle, and then charged me the wrong fee. Then they had no compassion or care for the mistake they made. It must be normal for them. This has to be one of the worst valet companies in the world seriously.
