Most terrible experience I've ever had with a furniture company or any company in general. The furniture came delivered had to set up another have an the exchange furniture came in a week later and was also were told they would set up another date for us to do it again after the fourth time and discovering that the technician before all the screws out we were then informed that the footboard was no longer in stock and being discontinued. We could choose another set of furniture or they could take a couple hundred dollars almost $4000 set that we had w have a discount on just a and it was we were told that was possible, but after that, the warranty would be voided on all the other furniture because we accepted it as is I explained to the lady that I did not seem fair and she really didn't care or any other options for us so I requested for a full refund and again we'll have to set up another day for them to come get the furniture. She said that was fine. Didn't really matter to could tell it's just a giant chain company that really doesn't care about the customer service and I will never walk in there again. read more

On April 7, 2023, I purchased a sofa sleeper as well as other furniture. I also bought a furniture protection plan. Within 1 1/2 yea of normal wear (or less than normal wear since the sleeper is in a guest room), the sleeper became unstable and the frame broke. My thought is that the sleeper was of low quality. On December 5, 2024, I filed an online insurance claim. There was a note that it could take up to 10 days for a response. On December 9, I received an email notifying me that within 5 business days, they would let me know if my claim was eligible. On December 10, I received an email saying they they are identifying a technician to complete the inspection, diagnose or repair the sleeper sofa. On December 17, I received an email saying that the claim has been approved and authorized for service and that a technician was being identified and the person will reach out in the next few business days. On December 21, I received an email with the time for the service technician to come. There was only one date and time choice (December 23--9 am-1:00 PM window) so I accepted it. The technician arrived on December 23 (Monday) as planned. After looking at the sofa, he said that he would file a report that the sofa needs to be repaired. I should expect a call from Rooms to Go either Wednesday or Thursday (Note: this is Christmas Eve and Christmas). He said if they did not call me by Thursday, I should call them. My complaint is that Rooms to Go was quick to sell the insurance policy and slow to respond. It has been nearly three weeks and the sofa is still broken--awaiting whatever the next step is from Rooms to Go. This whole process is inefficient and not customer friendly. read more

Purchased a living room set and had issues with the cushions losing their shape within 2 months of owning the set. A technician did come out and "fix" the cushions. Fast forward, I continued to have issues with th cushions in the sofa and loveseat and scratches on the end and cocktail tables. I filed a claim with GPP who is RTG's warranty company, After five times of emailing/texting photos and receipts of the damage, the reps claim that they never received my claim. I started the claim in Nov 24 and after sending the request repeatedly to them, they decided to decline my claim in Jan 25. Needless, to say, I sent it multiple times just to have them deny my claim because they claimed that my warranty did not cover the damage. This service is a scam and I am very unhappy with it and RTG. read more

Recently moved into a new home and decided to purchase some new furniture to go with the home. We tried two other furniture stores before coming to R2G. We were greeted by a very nice sales associate who immediately went over all the specials and sales that were current. She also did not follow us or pressure us the entire time. She only came to us when we needed her and never hovered. We made our furniture choices and were quickly checked out. After we closed on our home we came back to schedule delivery and pay the rest of the balance off. Unfortunately that's when we found out mistakes were made and that we were not given all the information we needed. The first problem was that we were told our items would be ready for delivery the week after our closing date. This was incorrect, they must've sold the furniture we paid for because everything we were told was going to be delivered was pushed out to over a month. The second problem is that we told her we wanted the exact dining set we were sitting at. When it got to the house it was not the same length. Instead of writing up the 96" table we were sitting at she ordered the 72". Pretty big difference and it really is an avoidable mistake. We did not want to wait another month or more for a replacement so we decided to move the dining set into the breakfast area and we will have to buy another dining set in the future. While waiting I decided to check reviews of this R2G and was shocked to see how many people had problems, especially with delivery. I'm happy to say that our deliveries went perfect. They had to split our furniture into two separate deliveries so we got two different crews. Both crews were exceptionally professional, friendly and quick. There was no damage to the furniture or the new home. I actually got to joke around and laugh with the guys delivering the furniture and we actually had great conversations. All in all I do wish things went better on the sales side because we tried to time everything perfectly but R2G fell through and left us with no furniture on the first floor for over a month. They did not offer any discounts or coupons for these mistakes. But concerning the actual delivery, it couldn't have gone any better. If we utilize R2G in the future I truly hope we get the same delivery guys but hope that the sales portion is done a bit better. Edit: Thinking back on our situation R2G doesn't really deserve 4-5 stars. They royally messed up our furniture order. I do want to point out that the actual delivery was perfect, really couldn't ask for more. The fact they did not tell the truth about our delivery dates, ordered the wrong sized table and offered zero discount or anything for their mess ups shows they have a long way to go before they ever receive anything more than the 1-3 star reviews they consistently get. I was given an "out the door" price and my card was charged, then, they came back to me and said I actually owe them about $400 more. Not even five minutes later. It ended up being the sales associates fault, however, the manager did not apologize or honor the price our card was charged for. I called customer service and they sent another bedroom set a month later and that was damaged as well! At that point they allowed me to pick out a different bedroom set and a week later it was delivered. Guess what? It was damaged as well! The headboard was cracked so I didn't even allow them to take it off the truck. I went to Rooms to Go and the staff don't care about you and don't provide good customer service. I went back the next week and walked around and talked about furniture, life and then realized we knew some of the same friends. She was such a joy to talk too. I finally went back a couple days later to make my purchase. I knew all along what I wanted but enjoyed the conversations. My furniture arrived yesterday and I absolutely love it. We had purchased from this R2G store, several years ago so, despite the negative reviews, we went and picked out a nice leather "Cindy Crawford Collection" living room suit. 3 pieces sofa, loveseat, recliner (all power reclining)and a couple end tables. This was on the 5th of September. Two weeks later, when they could deliver, they showed up 3 hours late. 2 guys. 1 older gentleman and a very young man. The boxes were extremely heavy. They unboxed the items individually and brought the pieces inside to assemble. Bolting the feet on the sofa resulted in 3 cross threaded bolts that won't tighten completely. The couch had a bad scuff on one of the lower corners (leather torn) and the recliner had staples protruding from the back (punctured through the leather). They said we had to accept them but, customer service would contact us to exchange the items. We were contacted within 10 minutes and had to wait until October for a delivery. Items were on back order. When the exchange day came, they unloaded furniture that had been wrapped in blankets and cellophane. Opening them revealed that this stuff had been used before and was probably someone else's exchanged stuff. It was in much worse condition than what we had! This stuff had ink stains all over two of the pieces. We didn't accept it. This time we had to go to the store to set up another exchange. We had a new appointment for early December. Again, two men showed up with stuff wrapped in blankets and cellophane. This time, the sofa looked great. No defects. But, the delivery guys couldn't figure out how to disassemble the pieces and they were too heavy. They decided they couldn't get the stuff in the house without damaging it. It was dark and after 8 pm so they were happy to leave. Today is 4 January and I've been waiting for the delivery scheduled for 2-6 pm. They are now arriving at 10:05 pm! Well, wouldn't you know, the same two guys, as last time. This time they do, have new stuff in the box! But, he still can't disassemble the one that needs to come out of my house without damaging it. So he wants a technician to be here when he delivers, to disassemble the old stuff! 2 days taken off from work and now a wasted Saturday afternoon, evening, & night. What a joke! How does this place get one and a half stars when it clearly desires zero? This place really really sucks and I can't reiterate that enough! The quality and the price of the furniture is OK, but the service is nothing sort of awful. I think I'd rather deal with the budget airline, eat at Taco Bell, or get kicked in the shin then I have to shop at this crap business! My nightmare began when I ordered a queen size pull out sofa, and ended when I got something that I didn't really like that much, but was better than nothing. Inexplicably, I came back after my initial purchase and foolishly gave these jokers even more of my money. Let me start with the garbage service. When you walk in there and you go through the sea of furniture, he quickly realize that this isn't going to be easy. I understand commission, but you have to deal with a different person if you want to purchase something from the children's furniture section, than if you want to purchase anything else. When I first purchased something, it was a beanbag chair and they followed me out to my car. Apparently, I gave them the wrong license plate number because I forgot I was driving my wife's vehicle instead of my own and I was promptly lectured and yelled at because I provided the wrong license plate information. The lady said I was lucky she let me put it in my car since she 'wasn't supposed to' in light of the fact I gave the wrong plate number. It's some sort of a security feature. I'm not sure why, since I paid for it! And it was crappy anyway. The real fun weekend however when we ordered the sofa and my wife stayed home all day waiting for it to arrive. They gave her window but said the approximate time would be 10 AM. For some reason they were slightly off, and wound up delivering at 11 PM! On top of that, the driver was a real douche bag and his partner was a real a hole. These two jokers dropped off the ottoman but realized the sofa was broken and couldn't deliver. We had a wait another four weeks! I thought the first two guys were bad, the second two guys one way way worse. They were lazy, grouchy, and couldn't fit the couch up with either one of our staircases. Really? We fit mattresses, and other large objects. They would even let me assist to try to accomplish the task even though they were weak. When we went back to the store, to complain, they told us that we could get the couch in a slightly smaller size. We went to finish the transaction, the sales person said oh sorry it's been discontinued. I told him that he needs to come and pick up the Ottoman since that won't work. He told me oh sorry you've had it so long you're going to have to pay for it. I just told him to go pound sand, and I went to go speak with the manager. She seemed somewhat apologetic and agreed to pick up the Ottoman and to have a smaller sofa and a new ottoman delivered. The new sofa was smaller, and a slightly different color. This time, the two guys who delivered it were slightly less douchey than the first two sets. My recommendation, is that you just go up to IKEA have them deliver it, and paid some dudes to set it up. You'll pay less and still get better quality, plus you can have a nice drive up to Charlotte and snack on some Swedish meatballs at the snack bar! (Note: this is considerably nicer-and a lot cleaner-than what the original review was going to say. I recently purchased a Sealy Posture-Pedic mattress during the Memorial Day specials. After waiting at least 30 minutes to receive any help from an associate, I found the mattress (advertised in the circular) that I was looking for. I ordered it on a Friday morning and was told it wasn't in the storeroom but I could have it delivered to me (from Georgia). The earliest date they gave me was that Thursday (almost a week after ordering) and told me someone would need to be home that day between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Seeing as I just started a 9 to 5 job, I wasn't sure that would not be possible, so I was assured by the sales associate that I could change the date if I needed to, as long as I called on Tuesday (long weekend). So, after not being able to secure someone to be there for that very vague time window, I called at exactly 10 a.m. Tuesday (today) only to be told if I changed my delivery date, the next available date was that NEXT Thursday. I explained my predicament, and was basically treated coldly by the non-helpful customer service staff, who didn't seem to care if I kept my order with them or not. I cancelled my order, but still have to go by there to get my refund. I can't wait to be done with them, and will never order from Rooms to Go again. My granddaughter's father bought the family a new sofa from RTG on Forum Drive in Columbia, SC. After it was delivered he found it filled with bedbugs. The Forum Drive RTG would not do a thing to help him. They used a Ryder truck to deliver the sofa and the truck was filled with other soft goods so we assume at least one item on that truck had been infested, returned, then resold to him. We sent a video showing live bedbugs under the sofa cushion to RTG Customer Support: they would do nothing, said it was "not covered under their warranty." I also twice called the VP responsible for sofas at RTG and left messages since she never answered. She also never called back. As a company RTG I conclude they have zero integrity. Now my granddaughter's father and I have to incur a huge expense to fumigate his home. If you do business with the Forum Drive RTG you do so at your own risk. read more

I do not even know why they even ask what delivery time you prefer. I have purchased a bedroom set and told them I would need an afternoon, and they couldn't accommodate that. When I asked when I would be able to get an afternoon delivery they said they could reschedule for another date, but still not guarantee an afternoon delivery...So why even reschedule?!?! I am so displeased with them as a whole. This particular store though does have a good sales associate in Mr. Brown, however this experience has been the worst. I purchased an entertainment center and two reclining power chairs almost a year ago valued at $2800 and financed through acceptance now. Upon delivery my entertainment center was damaged and one of my sofas was inoperable. I called and spoke with customer care to inform them of the delivery and how my things were damaged. The scheduled another delivery to replace the items and it took almost a month because some items were not in stock. When the guys came to deliver the replacement the items that were to be delivered were damaged. I called once again and reported it, this time they ensured me the following delivery should be done with care, well guess what when that delivery arrived yet again it was damaged looked like some body punched it. The next time I spoke with customer care they offered a $50 rebate that I'd only receive once the delivery was accepted. I tried one more time, this time the driver got sick in the middle of his route and they canceled the order and said they would let me know when they'd be available. Now i'm passed frustrated I called customer care and asked to speak to a manager, the manager would not speak to me instead insisted on listening only. So I wrote corporate and got in contact with a Mrs. Campos and expressed my views and conveyed how I wish not to conduct business with them any longer, because they've been unjust in attempting to resolve this issue. I spoke with a Ms. Shayla at the store who informed me I could get my money back for the furniture but they need to pick it up. Yet I recieved another phone call from acceptance now stating that I don't get a refund at all and I've already paid over $3,200. They did offer a re-select, and I declined it because I gave them opportunities to get my delivery corrected and I feel they've only been profiting on my patience and kindness as a consumer. Beware of the low quality furniture. I have what I thought was a leather living room set, but the sofa is peeling. Real leather will wrinkle over time but not peel. This set is in a room that is barely used, and the sofa, loveseat, and rocker are all peeling. The rocker had to be replaced previously because it would not rock and the recliner didn't work. The sofa had 3 repairs too for various reasons. The leather sets I purchased from Havertys over 15 years ago still look amazing, but this cheap set from Rooms To Go is being replaced after just four years. I will never shop there again. read more

The sales experience and delivery were very good. However do not believe their price warranty. When we purchased our living room, I was going to wait for the labor day sales, but the salesperson assured us that they will credit us any discount they may offer within 60 days of purchase . They did not honor it ! The ottoman we purchased went down $100 on Labor Day weekend, within just a few days - before we even received the furniture. The Sand Hills store was eager to take my order. Delivery was scheduled 9/16 for sofa & ottoman, matching chair & half scheduled for 10/5. The sofa was delivered. The delivery people claimed the ottoman was damaged, they put it back on the tru ck. I would get my replacement ottoman delivered 10/5 with my chair. Today delivery called to confirm 10/5. I asked about my ottoman. Customer Service told me they show the ottoman delivered with the sofa on 9/16. On 9/16 [I wrote in the delivery manifest the ottoman damaged & was returned with delivery people . I so have witnesses the ottoman was not left at my home. I also called the Rooms To Go office, as the truck was leaving & relayed what happened. This company is high on Sales & very lacking in expediting orders. Due to the error of sending me a damaged item. At the very least they should have made sure my ottoman was able to be delivered along with the 10/5 order. Lots of one star reviews regarding deliveries I will not buy anything or recommend rooms to go if my ottoman does not get delivered BEFORE or by 10/5. Guess who just got screwed? This Guy!! I bought couches from RTG a year ago and was sold a fabric protection plan with the assurance that if they couldn't get out any food or beverage stain, that my couches would be replaced or re-upholstered. Fast forward 15 months, I step out of the bathroom to find that my3 year old got slushy all over the armrests. RTG sends out a technician to clean the stuff that I couldn't get out and he informs me that he can't and the set must be replaced. Fast forward a week; customer service calls to tell me that they will not honor my warranty and says (after looking at photos i sent) it's DYE!!! I got robbed and called a liar! When I bought the set, the sales reps all assured me that RTG would either clean or replace any permanently stained items. DON'T fall for it read more

So far this has been the worst experience with furnishing a house. I have never experienced such poor customer service and a lack of care for the customer. Rooms to Go delivered 4 different sets of furniture to our home after tearing up our walls the 1st time. All of the sets were damaged and at this point they sent us back to Forum Dr for a reselect. The only issue is there's only one other set in the store that comparable to the set that we liked. It's more in cost, but rooms to go refuses to compensate us for the inconvenience or has yet to hear from Corporate about the damage to our walls. The furniture was first delivered at the end of June. When we asked for a refund they stated that they dont do refunds and to contact customer service and customer service tells you to speak with the store. They're basically telling us that we have to select a set even if we dont like it and put it in our home and pay for it. Insane! Stay away from this store and company as a whole. The furniture that they delivered was horrible. The frame was bent on 3 occasions the technician came out after each delivery and noted that the couches were not repairable. Smh. We liked the set of course that's why we picked it out, but they couldn't deliver us a set that wasn't damaged. All we want is the other set without coming out of an additional $350 or refund us the money. We'd even accept them taking $150 off the next set. Placed exchange order. Received TWO MORE the exact same way. I call back to find they're discontinued, and the buyer wouldn't take responsibility for building them wrong. Three weeks go by, customer service never called back. I call to want to return them so I can deal with a company that doesn't do this crap. They offer to send a team to fix them, and I refuse, since I just want furniture built right the first time. They offer to exchange, I refuse, as I'm not dealing with more products from this store. Now I'm stuck waiting to return these bar stools that have only been giving me trouble for nearly a month. Company that outsources their product creation to unreliable manufacturers. DO NOT GO TO THE FORUM DRIVE SITE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. SO, I went into the store on Dec 4th and was greeted by a nice sales rep. I was very particular about what I wanted for my new home. She was very helpful in accomplishing the objective. Not only did I set the date of Dec 22, 2018 for it to be delivered, I also paid more than expected so that I could get a jump on paying it off. The sad news was that Saturday came and went, I received a "no call no show", went back to the store two more times for a status and explanation about the delivery time and date, and as of today, Dec. 24, 2018, the manager still couldn't tell me where my furniture was, where it went, or when it was coming!?! I got a refund ( now taking 24-48 hrs smh) and I am out of furniture and have to look elsewhere. The moral or the review is to tell you that it doesn't matter how cute or quaint a store may look, it's a higher than normal possibility that you may receive poor service. I'm sorry that this is the last remaining furniture store in Sandhills. My husband and I planned to buy a LOT of furniture from them back in 2006, when we moved to Columbia. Without so much as mentioning the extra $75 per piece of furniture, they added the furniture protection plan. Thank GOODNESS I reviewed the receipt and asked what the extra (almost $400) charge was after we got home. We called, the salesman insisted that he told us about the plan (he definitely had not) and canceled the order. Very sneaky. We went next door to Ashley Furniture and bought everything there. UPDATE: We talked to the store manager (which he also said he isn't the store manager when we talked to him over the phone) and challenged him on that claim when we visited him at the store that same day and he slammed his business card in front of my wife and I. I told him he is incompetent for just knowing about the problem -first he said within this week - then he changed it to "really just today". This has been an ongoing problem for more than a month and his excuse for not knowing was because he was on vacation last week. I told him he was incompetent for not knowing which he replied that his staff is incompetent, his company is incompetent, BUT he most certainly is not incompetent. I have it all recorded on video which will be made public soon. We asked him to call his regional manager because we cannot trust his words - we have been promised both verbally and in writing with manager's initials on paper - but he refuses to do that. We told him that because we have to wait on a 4-hour window for our things to be delivered, we have to take a day off to meet the delivery driver at the house but both times they delivered the wrong items. It's been over 2 months and I still don't have my complete set. Can someone please get this right? I ordered the Belmar bunk bed with full storage steps. I have the bunk bed but still don't have the steps. Twice they've delivered incomplete items. The customer service department told me that the store location keeps on putting incomplete SKU. Twice I've taken the day off of work because of the 4 hour window of delivery and twice they come with missing items. Please get this right! And I'm sure they will get it wrong the third time because the manager could not understand me or the delivery driver trying to explain to her what i need over the phone. Here is what I need: I need the bottom half of the storage steps AND the flat side of where the steps will go. When facing the bunk bed, I need the flat side on the right, the right side. I have in my garage the top portion of the steps. I've been told before that they will just replace the whole thing and get it corrected that way but still hasn't happened. Very nice when you're spending your money but terrible customer service after purchase. Purchased close to $3,000 worth of furniture. Dining room set arrived and the table was scratched and screws were stripped so they were not able to put it together. All four chairs had defects. Reported problem to customer service and received a call back that they would be able to replace everything for delivery before Thanksgiving. Received call this morning saying best delivery was Monday after Thanksgiving. After a big run around at the store decided to cancel the order. Rude and disrespectful doesn't even begin to describe how you're treated when you're trying to get a refund.......still unsure if I'm getting the correct amount credited to my account. Absolutely the worst customer service!! Employees flirting with each other and making comments in front of customers. The manager Cliff, was showing us mattresses and we asked if there was a firmness rating scale and he assured us there was not....until I pointed it out to him on the chart attached to the bed. He said "oh, I had no idea that was there." We were having issues with our mattress we purchased from them and they made no effort to help or make anything any easier only saying "the sales associate should have informed you of our policy". Bought a sofa. They delivered the sofa. A few months later, their sofa broke. Countless emails, online chats, phone calls and even an in person service visit later ... and I'm still staring at the same broken down sofa in my living room. Worst experience ... if ya' make a purchase, just know that their warranty and their ability to do right by you is sub-par. Actually, scratch that. What a Joke!!!! My first experience and for sure my Last!!!!! Never Again!!! I ordered a loveseat, sofa, and recliner. and wanted it just like the showroom. was quoted a price and purchased it. When it was delivered. recliner and loveseat and sofa were all damaged with cuts. this is all real leather as well. and looked at the sofa and it was electric as the one in the showroom as I said I wanted. called and got another delivery date where you have to be home all day. inconvenience. Went to rtg the day after delivery and my sales associate said she made the mistake and spoke with Manager Paul and he said I will have to pay extra $200 if I want the electric reclining sofa. He also said if you don't like it we can cancel the order and pick it up. He said they are already paying for the 2nd delivery. Well if you delivered undamaged furniture. they won't have to pay. Been emailing what I thought was corporate. Looking at my paperwork. it doesn't state anything about any of them are manual or electric. So if I am quoted a price and said I want this exact couch that is what I am expecting to get. Very poor customer service, the manager is a liar, and they will not own up to their mistakes, and certainly don't care. I will never go back there again. I purchased a sofa and 2 chairs here. Spent almost $2500 cash. Within 3 months the seams on the sofa (that we almost never sit in) began coming apart. I called them and it took several attempts to get the technician out. Finally several months later he comes and says the fabric is defective and it will have to be replaced. Only, they don't make this fabric any more because it seems they had issues with it. The only reason I purchased anything from them was because I wanted this particular couch in this particular color to match my existing furniture, rugs, and draperies. They have nothing comparable on the door now. They will not refund me. They want me to spend my $2500 buying shit I don't want that will probably also be defective. We are a military family and $2500 is a lot of money for our family. read more

We ordered a bedroom suite. Received a delivery date and time 0800 to 1200 that involved a four hour window on a weekday afternoon. Might I say I am a soldier than had a busy schedule today and had to make room for rooms to go for the morning which was fine as long as I had went back to work in the afternoon but it's almost 6pm and no answer. I had to take my son to the hospital but my sister was here and the dispatch called me and told me they were 2 exits down and it still took them forever to show up. She then call me and said they were almost there. I called an hour later and they said they came and no one was there and that they called me but that was not true because I did not see a miss call from them. Also before 12 when they were trying to call the driver they couldn't reach him and they were calling him over 3 times. Customer service said the delivery manager was going to call me to see if they can deliver it still and that was over 5 hours ago and still haven't heard nothing. I wasted my whole day along with my sisters worrying about rooms to go. The customer service people were great but the delivery guy and his manager are horrible and I am so done with rooms to go. I am definitely not wasting my money and time on you all again. Especially when yesterday I try to call and reschedule and you told me it was too late to and can I find someone else to be at my home. I am on hold with customer service still while I am writing this message.but received no delivery or alert during this time period. Dispatch said the delivery manager have not emailed them back. Like who does emails you should be calling him. Seriously rooms to go. I just want to know if you are going to deliver my stuff today because if not I will be going to the store before it close or in the morning to get my money back. read more

Wow. Rooms to Go knocks TWC, Verizon, and even Comcast out of the water when it comes to absolutely awful customer service. Actually, it's not even fair to compare. Those companies make an attempt at having a customer service department and rooms to go has nothing more than a number falsely labeled "customer service". For someone who paid up front for both furniture and delivery, I have had to bend over to be accommodating to the complete mismanagement and terrible policies of RTG, only to still not have my furniture two months later. They have 100% fallen short of doing absolutely anything but holding onto my money for two months. Clearly from the consistently bad ratings of all rooms to go locations, this company doesn't care about a bad reputation, but hopefully another review can at least save the next unsuspecting furniture shopper from the nightmare that is dealing with them. avoid this entire company at all costs unless you enjoy being lied to, having your money tied up for extended periods of time, and not ever getting your furniture read more
