We normally avoid Rooms To Go as the quality can be lacking, but after a terrible experience with another retailer, we decided to give RTG another try. Upon entry, we were immediately greeted and while we were not interested in being chaperoned around the store, the sales person picked up on this, introduced himself and then checked in on us sporadically. It was the perfect arrangement for a stress free furniture shopping trip. We were after a new sectional sofa and found a few options. Took the info home and scoped reviews, which all seems to be positive. A huge plus and something I appreciated here was the level of information provided on the item tags and placards. For sectionals they listed the entire size on all sides, showed configurations and all the available color options. It made for an easy process and we didn't have to pull out our tape measurer once! This location sits among the large shopping center featuring Old Navy, Dick's and Best Buy and is located directly across from Walmart. The store is clean and in good condition. The products were laid out and organized with purpose, and the store flowed easily. Overall, happy to have stopped by. It was a positive experience and I believe we will be purchasing our new sectional from this location...so updated review to follow! read more

Update on couch. They had a tech come out in the middle of the week and stated that it was definitely a manufactured defected couch. The customer service did not contact me until the next Monday. They agreed to only replace with same couch and remove defected one. Told them I didn't want to go through the same thing with the replacement couch. They would not let us get a different couch and it would then be on the extended warranty and not Rooms-To-Go warranty for 12 months. They are supposed to remove the old one. I will keep you posted on how it all goes? read more

I bought a sofa and loveseat about 3 years ago and it looks like garbage now. The material is pilling and not holding up. I think one of the springs also broke. Completely misleading and dishonest. Where to start. Will start off by saying whatever you do do not buy any extended warranty or insurance. They will sell it to you and lie to your face, then when you have a situation that's supposed to be covered, you won't be. Initially was told it was not covered due to there being a stain from a marker (done by infants) although this is covered by the insurance they sell you and the whole reason we got it. After some escalation they claim no it's not covered because it has a pen stain and food stain, again both covered by the insurance. Complete joke and scam. After 2 months of working on this claim was told after multiple calls to the store that I would receive a call back from the store manager. That was never the case. So I finally had the time to come talk in person. First and foremost the store manager Shawn is a perfect of example of what a manager should not be. Would not show his face to help resolve the issue, which makes sense why he never called me. Straight told me to my face that it was not his problem and that I should not have misused furniture. Complete clown and told me that I needed to leave, because I told him basically he just simply didn't care and they were misleading customers. All I can say is that corporate will be informed about this and about the real piece of work they have running the store. No wonder their reviews and scores are so low. It's really sad that it didn't matter that I have spent thousands in this store specially and had been a customer for over 15 years. I was looking for a plush mattress that was durable and great quality, and boy did he deliver! Lets start from the beginning. Rooms to go was wonderful to work with when placing and rearranging my order, but the pleasantries stop there. "It's furniture day" The day my family had been waiting on for months. Two men show up with a truck load ( 5 rooms) of furniture and I was happy to see them. They however where not happy to be there. When they entered my home one gentleman had some wooden slats in his hands and asked me where the bunk bed went. The questions caught me off guard because that was not scheduled to be delivered for a few more months. I started to worry that maybe the truck was loaded with someone else's delivery so I asked him again if he was sure it was a bunk bed he became irritated with me and looked at my husband and said "Am I dealing with you or her". I am at this point speechless and very upset. My husband responded with his normal diplomatic way and told the guy we are just trying to make sure we are getting the correct delivery. He asked the guy to just put the slats down until we can confirm with costumer service. The delivery guy "dropped" the slats on the brand new hardwood floors. My husband asked him to please be careful with the new floors and he responded with "man I don't have to be here, I can leave" My husband of course wanted to throw him out but I had a truck full of furniture I wanted!!!! The story goes down hill from here but I am just going to hit the high spots. They put my end tables together in the front yard upside down in the grass. They had loud music playing on their phone in their pocket that had profanity in it. They took a gash out of one of the side rails of the king bed. The worse damage they did was sliding a dresser across my floors and scratching them. It took three months to replace the side rail and they canceled or no showed on two different occasions to repair end table. As for my floors they offered me $300 to fix floors but I had to sign a disclosure that would have prevented me from writing this review. I declined. Rooms to go takes no responsibility to any of the the damage or behavior of the delivery people. It is a company they hired and they are sorry. I am very disappointed and of course I will never again buy from them and will post this review as often and in as many places as I can. read more

Do not purchase from rooms to go! I purchased a bedroom set from them and waited for months (which I knew I would) when I received the set a piece was damaged and unusable. They weren't able to get it swapped out until next year and refused to refund me. They said I could exchange the set and wait however long (more months) it takes to get it in. Ordered a 5 piece living room set and the couch was damaged upon delivery. You could see that the box was dropped somewhere along the way. The front part of the frame is bent causing the couch to look and sit crooked. I have emailed the customer service email three times with no response and called multiple times and hung up after sitting on hold for almost an hour. This will be the first and last purchase from RTG. We love the sofa, but at this point I'd give it back and buy somewhere else based on principle. Ordered the sofa in June. Delivery was scheduled for July 1. Great. Delivery arrives, however they sent the wrong piece for the sectional. The delivery man said they fix their mistakes quickly and they would be giving us a call. 24 hours late we hadn't heard from them so I called customer service. I was informed it would be 2 weeks before they could fit the correct piece on a truck. We were annoyed with that, but whatever. Second delivery date comes, we had a delivery window of 11-3. At 4:22 I get a call for dispatch saying they were running behind, that they would deliver between 5-9. At 9:15 I get a call saying they're truck broke down and we would be rescheduled. We have had to call them today and can't get another delivery date until the 21st, so another week. They're playing a commercial saying how quickly you can get your furniture in middle TN because of their huge warehouse here.... False advertisement. Don't waste your time with them. Just came in to look at couches was briefly greeted by Marie K. who explained how to read the charts for furniture, as well as genuine kindness, and didn't hover or overwhelm. Then she let us wander around. We actually left just to check a few other stores to make sure we got what we wanted. But when going to two other furniture stores in the area we ended up leaving and coming back to Rooms to go, and asked for Marie K. (who welcomed us back, and thanked us for returning and asking for her. ) She was extremely gracious, pleasant, and professional (her tablet stopped working at one point and had to get a new one.) During this time she was apologetic but very prompt and quick in replacing it as to not waste our time. If I need furniture I'll be back (She is off Tuesday and Wednesday!) I am very disappointed that a store does not honor your request. I recently had to cancel my purchase because the delivery team did not want to cover their dirty boots or remove them. I offered covers snd explained that shoes are not allowed on my upstairs rooms. Its unfortunate that neither corporate or the local stores feels that we the consumers are not concerned with our health and or religious beliefs that prohibits this type of action. I suggested that they should post a sign and let the consumers know they will not cover or remove their shoes upon entering. That way u will know if you want those elements tracked into your home. Worst customer service ever. Furniture is expensive and they get you to purchase the extended warranty through guardian. we opted for the warranty since we purchased a dual power console loveseat and it had mechanical and electrical components. just barely over a year and the motor on the loveseat went out and half the loveseat no longer works. It took over a month of dealing with Guardian to get the approval for repairs, to then be told we had to call Rooms to Go customer service to arrange the repairs. They sent a tech out two weeks later. The tech said it needed a new motor and cup holder assembly which he didn't have on him, and he would have to order the parts. Two weeks go by and I don't hear anything. I've since called customer service three times to find out what the status is. The first person hung up on me as they were putting me on hold. Waited to see if they would call me back which they didn't. The second person said the tech closed the ticket out saying that the power source was unplugged and never ordered the parts, and said she would have to call Guardian to see what they could do and she would call me back to tell me how it would be resolved. Three days go by with no call. Third person said he would call the tech department to find out what happened and that he should hear something within an hour or two and call me back. The rest of the day goes by with no call. Now sitting here on my busted, non-working loveseat that we have had for a just a little over a year and hasn't been working for three months. read more

Only because I can't give 0 stars. RTG has the worst service. They have tried redelivering a broken couch 6 times. Literally 6 times and I have to schedule time off every time so that I can sit and wait 4 hrs for delivery drivers who will never give me a 30 minute heads up before they arrive as requested. It's very stressful and shows how this company doesn't value/respect customers. Yet they'll take my money. Update: So although they said they wanted to make it right, all they did was say they will credit a 99.99 plus tax credit. (Must be for the delivery fee) They didn't even do that right. Order my dining room set back in October of 2021.Said it would be delivered in April of 2022. They called me the day before delivery and told me back chairs were on back order until July. Not thrilled but I could deal with it. They next day delivery guys arrived ,told them the had to come thru the back door.He go pissed and was cussing.It would be easier thru the back door less steps to take.In the process of backing his truck up,he hit my car.Did quite a bit of damage.The driver told me had a guy who could fix it cheap.Don't think so.will never let them deliver anything to my house again. The delivery people left trash in my yard which ended up blowing around. When calling "customer care" they blew it off and offered no concessions to make it right. These people are deplorable. I ordered from Rooms to Go furniture that peeled off in two years. I went back ask them about the furniture they said yes it was peeling to we took off the market. I asked them if they give any credit towards new one since it was the material that they sold they said NO. I gave them benefit of the doubt because I like the people working there. I purchased at the end of 2019 was delivered on jan 2020. I purchased the warranty for $300 this time so I can have ease of mind. The back of the sectional is broken. Actually, one star is too high. We purchased a chair from them less than 3 years ago. The quality is poor and the upholstery and arms are falling apart already. Spoke to someone at the store who referred me to their customer service line. After waiting on hold for almost 15 minutes, was basically told that no one really cared what happened to the chair after the one year manufacturer warranty expired. Foolishly thought that the local store would care...obviously not. Manager wouldn't even speak to me, took a message from the person who answered the phone and didn't even bother to pick up the phone, just had her tell me that it was a customer service matter, not theirs. So their message was perfectly clear, locally and nationally they do not stand behind their product. Funny, on their website they show almost a 5 star rating but when I search other places they are lucky to get two stars and all I can find is complaints. Should have done that search before I bought from them. So please do what I'm going to do next time....spend a little extra money and find a store that stands behind their product. read more

Ordered two bedroom sets and living room furniture. Many pieces were marred when received. They did replace the damaged pieces but a couple had to be replaced twice as the replacements were also marred. The delivery crew damaged my bedroom ceilings, yes both bedroom ceilings. I was never compensated for that damage even though I filed a claim. The sofa had a bent frame causing the electric reclining mechanism to bind up. They opted to replace the sofa. Had to wait weeks for it and the replacement was worse than the original. They then decided to fix the original. They sent a new mechanism to my house for the repair guy. That mechanism was bent. They finally sent another one. That one was OK. By the way, I now have two reclining mechanisms in my garage that I have to get rid of! It took almost 10 months for me to have a fully operational sofa. I am repairing the ceilings myself. The quality of the furniture is substandard, in my opinion. If you decide to shop there, take a really good look at the furniture construction. All I can say is look under that hood!!!! read more

I ordered living room furniture from Rooms To Go on January 11th, 2021 as a gift for my niece. Part of the order still has not been delivered. I am having a terrible time getting my order completed. They did try to deliver this month but brought a truck they stated they could not drive into an apartment complex. I paid for delivery and set up also. They took the furniture back and stated they could not bring the big truck into the apartment complex. The address shows the delivery is to an apartment, they had delivered part of it their before. They respectfully listened to my concerns about the tabletop being dragged or dropped. They were deliberately slow and steady, meticulously and carefully handling the new tabletop with kid gloves. Shopping in the store was AMAZING! The delivery part is where the one star comes in. I would give negative stars if I could. Our furniture was supposed to arrive today. We received a text this morning with a link to track our estimated arrival time. At first it was 12pm-4pm. Totally fine. Then it kept getting pushed. 4pm-8pm, a little late but whatever. We'd be home anyway. Then the time window changed from 6pm-11:59pm. This is when we thought surely they wouldn't deliver that late. It got to be 10pm and we got in bed continuing to think we would just get it on the next delivery day. THE TRUCK DELIVERED OUR FURNITURE AT 11PM, which required a signature. Who is the world does that? The delivery guys were very apologetic and we know it's not their fault, they're just doing their jobs. I have not been able to reach anyone at Rooms to Go to discuss this. An 11pm delivery is just ridiculous and VERY unprofessional. We will not be purchasing from Rooms To Go again. read more

My wife and I have purchased several pieces of furniture from this Rooms To Go since 2003. Every experience has been pleasurable. Our couch is 12 years old and still in great shape. We purchased a complete bedroom suite in 2006 and still love it. We recently moved after several years so the bed was disassembled. I inspected every aspect of the frame while it was apart and it is still in like new condition. Through the years we have purchased a piece or two of furniture from other places, and we were not as happy and wished we had went to Rooms To Go instead. The recliner I purchased from another company pretty much fell apart after a couple of years. Our kitchen table and chairs, while still in use, is not the most sturdy and the chairs do not instill a lot of confidence when you sit in them. This weekend we decided to purchase new living room furniture and had a great experience. We looked at a couple of different places, but traveled to Rooms To Go and made our purchase. I was a little disappointed that the living room suite we purchased is out of stock until march, but we had our heart set on that specific set and it will be worth the wait! read more

This concerns the delivery. I had 3 different orders and thus I was emailed/texted/and left 3 different messages giving me the same time of delivery (4-8 pm). I called to make sure that the time was correct. Then on the day of delivery, the delivery drivers show up at 7:50 am. The driver was livid when I said that I couldn't do that time because my room was ready. He decided to cuss about the situation. He let my dog out of my home. When I told him what I did he said that I did that (with several cuss words added). When I asked for his name he repeated my name and said that was all I needed to know. (again more cuss words added for measure). I told him that he was not allowed nor welcome to come back to my home. He called his boss who called me within minutes to say that I had a delivery waiting. I told him what happened he said that I would need to call back to have the delivery setup again. When I told him that I was never notified on the new delivery time he told me that I should have been. When I spoke with RTG General Manager at the Rivergate store he was just as dismissive to me. It was as though I should have been thankful that they allowed me to purchase furniture. The wasted time that I have spent over this issue is mind-boggling to me. I don't think I was picked out of a crowd by the delivery driver to decide to cuss at me or let my dog out of my home. I don't think I was picked out of a crowd by several members of management to be dismissive and so uncaring what happened to me by the delivery driver. This is what they consider to be good customer service. I disagree. I wouldn't recommend using this company. My purchase exceeded $4400.00. They must make a great deal of money to treat paying customers like this. read more

We ordered a dinning room table and 6 chairs. The in store experience was fine, but lets skip to the delivery... towards the end of assembly I was notified that there was missing hardware and the leg braces would not be installed. I was told that their quality control would be out by Friday (the delivery was on Wednesday October 6) to install the brackets. My wife signed for the delivery and did not get a copy of the paperwork from him. So being suspicious I called their "Customer Service" (the term service is not applicable). I was told oh you need hardware I'll order it express and have it sent directly to you. I said okay now what. She said is there anything else I can help you with... We bought a couch and love seat and the recliners are extremely hard to close my husband has to help me close it. One side is already squeaking when you sit on it and it's only 3.5 months old.
