Went here on Sunday August 31st 2025 with my parents to look for chairs. We decided on those recliners that we were looking at the week prior- plus the sale of buy 1 get 1. Sales associate was very nice and helpful, she also was polite and cleared up an issue where she thought the sale had to be the same color, which wasn't the case. We got 2 recliner chairs. Paid via credit card, and they have easy delivery options and we were easy to find because we have purchased items there before! Hope to be back next time we need furniture! read more

My 7yr old grandson tripped up those stairs twice. Each time a safety rail gave way. Once he rolled across the bed, and that safety rail gave way too. My grandson fell off the bed! I purchased a 3-piece outdoor patio sectional from Rooms To Go and was initially happy with my purchase, until I needed help maintaining it. After the sale, I visited the store to ask about the proper way to clean the cushion covers. I spoke with a store associate, Ashley Saunders, who confidently told me the covers were machine washable and dryer safe. I was surprised, but trusted her advice since she works there and should know the products they sell. Unfortunately, that advice completely ruined my cushions. After washing and drying them on a delicate cycle, every single cover came out damaged, zippers broken, fabric frayed, and seams torn. I reached out to the store and spoke with the manager, Skylar Jones, who was not helpful at all. The best they could offer was a small discount on entirely new cushions and covers, despite the fact that I followed their staff's guidance. Rooms To Go clearly does not train their employees properly and takes no responsibility for the misinformation they give customers. Extremely disappointed. We had spent thousands of dollars at their Myrtle Beach location for twenty ears. When we purchased a new home in Little River, we again visited this store to purchase all new furniture for our new home. Before we were half through ordering everything, it was brought to our attention there is a separate delivery charge for EVERY SINGLE ITEM!. They also tax for the delivery charge. I am a War Vet and it was during their Veteran's Day Sale. No Vet Discount. No break on the massive delivery Charge. We had already spent hours there with our go-to sales agent--so I did not cancel the order. They told us that was the new company policy. Sorry guys--that's not my policy. The manager actually told us the prices at other stores might be cheaper, but they made it up on delivery charges. That was a lie. We paid less at the other store. The mark-up on furniture is a total rip. We finished our shopping at a different store that had one very reasonable delivery charge for whatever fit in the delivery truck, and were told had we purchased the entire house full of furniture it their store--they would have not even charged us for delivery. My husband & I moved to SC recently & purchased a King bedroom set online and wanted to go check out the display in store. Upon showing up at the store we were greeted by a sales rep by the name of Aubrey. I asked if they had a display of the set we purchased and wanted to get some info as the website did not specify if this bed needed boxsprings. I explained my husband is a medically retired firefighter, had a house fall on him... etc. & that I was in a terrible car accident a few years ago leaving me with forever injuries that makes it tough for the perfect sleep. I also let her know we have been through several different styles of frames & mattresses these last few years trying to find the perfect one. Seeing as we tried everything but an adjustable frame she showed us one on display & told us if we didn't end up liking it we can return within 30 days for a refund. THAT WAS A LIE!!!! I went on to asking her how popular these adjustable frames were and if many people return them and she said no because they end up really likening them. Said if she could afford a frame herself she would get it because a family member of hers has the same one and loves it. I said I guess since we need a frame and can return it if we don't like it we can give it a try!!!! We had it for only a week when we decided it wasn't going to work for us & tried to start the return process. I texted Aubrey again to ask where the info is as I did not see anything in our paperwork stating specifically that adjustable bases could not be returned. She is the one that LIED to make the sale and she is the one that told us if we were unhappy we had 30 days to return it for a full refund. If we had been told otherwise we would have spent $200 on some boxsprings & saved the $3k spent on the base.... My messages went unreplied to. I was unfriended and blocked on fb. After that I decided to call the store. Not their problem. Told me that the manager was not willing to take the return even tho I was given false info from the sales rep & to take it up with cooperate. I was on the phone with corporate for 43 minutes just to be told that they were not willing to take the return regardless of what I was told , but she would be able to offer a trade. With this trade they would take the adjustable bed frame and allow me to use that credit to purchase something else in the store for more value and pay the difference. How can you go from not accepting a return because you can't resell a "used item" to taking the item back for a trade to resell the "used item?" I explained we already spent $3k on the bedroom set and asked if they could use as the trade. Nope. I would have to make another purchase (for more money)... I even offered to pay a restocking fee for them to come get the frame as we were sold this on lies and broken promises. She said she could not do that. I said ok so I'm just shit out of luck? I explained we had no more money to spend in our budget & it was bs that they conducted business this way as I was not the sales rep that lied but I was the one having to deal with it. The store manager had called me again a few days later acting like he genuinely cared about what happened, only to belittle me & talk to me like I had no idea what I was talking about. Asked what he could do to make things right. I was willing to pay a pick up and restocking fee as it hadn't even been used for a week!!!! We slept on the floor & put the frame in an unused spare bedroom when we decided it wasn't going to work for us. It still looks brand new. I even offered to find a way to drop the frame off at his store!!!! They really know how to gaslight you into thinking they are actually going to fix the issue... when in reality they don't give a crap about their customers. He told me to give him till that Saturday as he would personally reach back out to me to resolve the situation as they didn't want to loose my business. He ghosted me. Funny tho, I was told that it is up to the store manager what it returned & that if he wanted to do the right thing he could he just didn't want to. You're not going to believe this. Do NOT BUY FROM RTG! The bottom line is that if they send you broken furniture, you are stuck with it even if you purchase their expensive extended warranties. We ordered quite a bit of furniture in October 2021 from RTG INCLUDING the extended warranties. Some of the furniture came in November and the back-ordered piece came in December. We ordered a top-of-the-line triple powered recliner which was delivered with a broken component. It is important to mention here that I have a back problem which is why we saved up for an expensive recliner with a massage feature and lumbar support! On November 5, the repairman came to fix broken components on 2 pieces including the recliner. He said he needed to order a replacement part. We did not hear from anyone and so I called customer service on January 11, 2022. Mary said she would contact the vendor for a replacement. Once again did not hear from anyone so I called again on March 17 and spoke with Dawn who couldn't help me so she sent me back over to Mary. They said they would have their Buyer research a replacement chair. She called back a few weeks later to say they were unsuccessful but that I could re-select another recliner. I told her that I had already been looking but they did not seem to have any triple powered recliner left. She said inventory changes all the time and asked if I would be willing to look a little longer and call back if I end up with "no options". I agreed. After months of checking their inventory, I called back on 7/9/22. After 18 minutes on hold, I spent a confusing 20 minutes with Deza telling me that my only option was to select other furniture. I shared with her that we already outfitted a large part of our new home with thousands of dollars worth of their furniture and didn't need any other furniture. I ended up asking for a supervisor only to get Carlos on the phone with a tone that accused me of waiting too long to contact them. Really? They dragged me along for 9 months and now customer-no-service is implying that I am to blame? I said "let me see if I understand this correctly. You sent me broken furniture and my only option is to exchange it for other furniture I don't need because you do not have any other high-end triple recliners?" He replied, "if you send it back you will be charged a 20% restocking fee." So now I am researching every consumer advocacy group I can file a complaint with including the BBB. Buyer beware- do not buy from RTG because even if the furniture is broken upon delivery, you lose all of your money. read more

DO NOT GET A WARRANTY FROM ROOMS TO GO Here's our current situation. Last year we bought a $1200 electric recliner, with a $200 warranty, for our 89 year old father, who lives with us. He's slept in a reclining chair for the last twenty years due to a broken neck back then. As stated, the chair has a warranty and has now stopped working. A claim was filed November 3rd. It took a week to hear back and set up a claim. A repair guy came last Thursday. He had no parts and no way to make a repair. He said it would be up to 90 days to get parts. NINETY DAYS. Calls to RTG and the warranty company to get a temporary chair fell on deaf ears. They're blaming each other. In the meantime we have to prop him up in a bed and block him in with pillows and a bed wedge. We have purchased three rooms of furniture plus a baby bedroom set from them since 2017. The repair man said it was a power supply part and would order it. This took almost five weeks to get the part, i set up for another appointment 6/30/21 repair man came it was the wrong part.I called RTG on this day and was told they could not do anything until they received the report from the repair man.I was called 3 days later from RTG and was told the parts were on order 7/3/21. I purchased a Cindy's Crawford leather couch & loveseat recliner costing @$4k from Rooms to Go,, Myrtle Beach using the Synchrony - 0% financing. The furniture was delivered 9/14. I started questioning after 2 weeks because the leather had completely loosened and lost all shape. Even where your legs rest. I reported it less than 30 days from purchase when you are supposed to have a return policy. I was told that I would have to have one service call. The serviceman came out and attempted to add extra padding in the leg reclining portions and used a heat machine to try to shrink the leather back into shape. Yeah come that's pretty scary . Obviously it took about 3 hours for it to look worse than when the repairman had even come.. I called and asked them to return their furniture immediately. And I have been in contact with Synchrony who has filed a 90 day dispute in which time I do not pay and with the Better Business Bureau . I've called Rooms to Go Myrtle Beach 3 additional times and no one has bothered to return a phone call.. Tonight I insisted on speaking with a manager who refused to give me his last name . He said that he is the only David that is there. I told him that I wanted the furniture removed and that I had no intention of paying for it and that I have a dispute with Synchrony and the Rooms to Go corporate office. He seemed to think that was funny. He told me he would give me an exchange but that would then eliminate my warranty so that if something was wrong with the next set I would have no warranty . He said that he hoped that synchrony and corporate have a good time battling it out with me. I told him that I don't intend to lose.. From kitchen stools whos plastic sleve cracked then the hydrolics went, outside umbrella installed without collar kept swiveling when open! Yes they installed it, purchased a bigger better one which the hoops have torn away so the cloth slides off the sleeves when you close it, there was the side by side recliners which were so cheaply made never lasted more than 1 year before metal squeeking,stuffing flat no center support in chair and now a 1600$ sofa which the electric does not work. There are only 2 of us here and 1 works outside the home, so the furniture does not get alot of use. That should tell how poor the quality is. We have 100$ office chairs that get used everyday all day and are twice as old still working from office max. Of course when you call its out of warranty call local repair man. So much for customer loyalty. It may look pretty ,may carry a manufacturer warranty as did the last sofa.. longer than 1 year but they will not help even if you offer to pay for it! We recently moved to the Conway SC area in early February 2021 and we needed to re-decorate our entire house. We ended up going to Rooms To Go, where we were greeted by Mr. Jones. He is so nice and very friendly. We let him know that we were redecorating an entire house. And that we would definitely be doing multiple purchases to get our home fully re-decorated by the end of the year. We first started off with the living room furniture. The furniture at Rooms To Go is very gorgeous to say the least, not only is the quality exceptional but the price points are amazing. If you want quality furniture this is definitely the place. Mr. Jones definitely understood our needs, he helped us pick out the perfect recliner and sofa for our brand new remodeled living room. He is very knowledgeable and helped us pick everything out from the recliner to the sofa cushions. We have definitely been back since and are waiting for our brand new king size bedroom set that will be coming in early July. Despite speaking to the manager half-way through our buying spree to furnish our new home, Rooms To Go would not give us a break on the new policy of the store to charge a separate "delivery charge" for every single item you purchase, which was adding up to hundreds of dollars. They also tax delivery charges in the area--so that's a double-whammy! The manager told us those other stores simply add those charges to the price of the furniture. BUT we found the same furniture at another store that did not charge as much as Rooms To Go that gave us a small delivery fee for all the rest of our furniture we later purchased there. We had been customers of RTG for years, spending thousands of dollars--but this is their NEW policy. Sorry boys, but that is not my policy. A more accurate explanation from RTG would have been to say "We publish a lower price than the competition does, and make it up on delivery charges". I'm not going to spend hundreds of extra dollars for nothing buying from what used to be a great store that has apparently grown into a monster that has such a strong appetite for cash it cannot get enough to eat--so it dines on the wallets of their own customers. They gave me the phone number I could use to call their headquarters to complain, but my policy was to write a review, The company responded to that review and said they were sorry I was disappointed. Came into this store and told the greeting employee that I am looking to purchase 3 full room sets; King Bedroom set, living room set, dining room set, & that I'll possibly purchase another bedroom set in future. She immediately acted out off and stated to me the closing time of the store as if I was a bother. Mind you they close at 6pm & we arrived at 430pm....she then rushed us through their bedroom displays and went over their display price menu like some sort of auctioneer and rebuffed any questions with a "Well, you can check for yourself." I spent a lot on a cal king mattress and adjustable base. The salesman was great. I got at least 20 calls, emails and texts about delivery. It was finally set for 12-4 today. At 10:15 I got a text that they'd be here in 12 min. I rushed home and the delivery driver said he didn't know there was an existing mattress and he wouldn't take it cause it had about three stains. I was told the delivery fee included removal. They left it standing in the bedroom as the pic shows. I called customer care and they were no help. Told me to call the store. Phone rang and rang.
