This store has a decent level of organization, and finds a way to remain so although they are quite understaffed. Today I came to this location after sitting in traffic due to a accident. I arrived at 9:46pm to make a return. Store hours including holiday store hours are posted on the front doors. While there were previously extended hours of 11pm, this location has returned to closing at 10pm - well they should have, but it seems as if they close earlier unbeknownst to their customers. Upon my arrival the doors were closed, however, there was one employee at the entrance. This employee blatantly ignored me and continued to spray/disinfect around the shopping carts located in the front of the store. I asked through the doors if they were open. He replied they were closed, and returned to spraying. I returned to my vehicle to get my phone in order to double check the time. Noticing that it was not 10 pm, I returned to the door. Three additional employees stood next to cash registers trying their best not to make eye contact. Shortly after, a woman, whom I assume was the manager on duty also came to the cash register with a shopping cart. She proceeded to pull the cash registers. During this time, everyone saw me, but in many ways I felt invincible. Once the last register was in the cart all of the employees walked to the back of the store without saying a word. I understand people look forward to leaving work when their shift ends. I also understand the satisfaction of leaving work "on time". What baffles me is how a simple explanation of why they were closed prior to the listed times could not be given. If not from an associate, the least I expect is to hear something from the manager. I choose to shop at AtHome for a number of reasons: the products, the variety, the prices; to name a few. One of the most important reasons I patronize a number of businesses is because of the level of customer service they provide. Unfortunately, the service or lack there of is a complete turn off. I'll spend my money at Home Goods and other home decor stores. Once time permits, I plan to make this return - I won't be back. I just hope this level of service is not the new standard.

This chair worked for less than 18 months and now it is no longer usable as a recliner. They install parts that are not made well, but the customer must pay to have a replacement part shipped. I was fueling my vehicle, fortunately not far away. When they arrived, I went outside to greet them. The elder fellow, did not reply to my hello. When I asked if he was told that the sofa bed was going upstairs, he grumbled that he could tell by looking at my house. Hmm!! Even though my house is only three years old, with standard doors, he told me that it would not fit in through the front door. He said "you people" need to stop buying big sofa beds and the sales people need to stop selling them. Hmm!! I gave him permission to take the doors off. To which he replied that he was not allowed to do that because he could damage the doors. Well, by not taking them off, he damaged two doors and casings. I told him my husband would be home shortly (remember they arrived before the scheduled time) and take the doors off. He said not to call that he can get the sofa bed in. I told him to wait and called my husband. He did not wait. He and his partner brought the sofa bed in. When angry man went outside, I went upstairs to talk to his partner. I told him his partner should not talk to customers like he did. The guy said that he has talked to him, but he is too old to change. As a senior myself, I told him that everyone is capable of change, regardless of age. I felt very uncomfortable so I went to the back of the house, unlocked the door and waited for my husband. By the time my husband got home, they were getting in truck to leave, without asking me to sign for receipt of the sofa bed. Hmm!! My husband called him back to come see the damage they did to the front door. He denied the damage and said it was like that before. I had taken photos before they brought the sofa bed in, so he admitted to the damage. After they left, we went upstairs to find out the extensive damage to the spare bedroom door and casing. I sent photos to my saleswoman. Graciously, she apologized and told me to email her the photos so she could forward them to initiate a damage claim. The next business day, I received a call from the office manager. She was able to send repairmen the next day. The repairmen were very nice, but they did not have tools. So, they were going to go to Home Depot. My husband let them use paint brushes/scrapers to get the job finished quicker. We had paint. Since the office manager told me a signature was required for the driver to close out his ticket and go on to the next job, I wanted to see a copy of the delivery ticket. In my extensive email to R. Marquez (I think he may own the store. But, I am not sure. The office manager had given me his email address.), I asked him to send me a copy of the "original" delivery ticket so I could see if the delivery guy signed my name or if he wrote "refused to sign". Knowing he did not ask me to sign, neither options would be truthful. In my conversation with Mr. Marquez, he said that he talked to the angry man and told him if he did it again they would suspend him. But, he did not tell me how the ticket was closed. He tried to tell me that doors were too small. To which I explained this was not the case. He admitted that angry man should have taken the doors off and used padding to protect the doors and casings. I was emailed me a delivery receipt. But, it was blank. Nothing to indicate how the ticket was closed. I have sent two more requests and received "no" reply. By not replying, or sending me a copy of the "official" document, I am left to believe they have something to hide. Since it has been 30 days since my last request, I felt it was important to post this review. I think the same person owns the Covington and Metairie stores. As much as I like La-Z-Boy products, and the sales reps at the Covington store, I can no longer give them my business. New recliner and bedroom furniture will be purchased from another company.

I needed to replace 480 sg ft of old ceramic tile. LL Slidell helped me through the decision as I was doing entryways, kitchens and baths. After weighing the options , we settled on vinyl plank. Then the hard part - picking the right color. There are soo many. After narrowing it to two, LL sent someone to measure inspect and estimate. They would have to move furniture and I agreed on small upcharge for that. After all was said and done a quote was given and contract signed . The installer is a sub for LL and soon contacted me to schedule. A date was set and they arrived as promised. After the old floors were demoed, floor leveler had to be poured. The installer had to get more. At my expense, as the amount was underestimated. He came back poured what he had picked up and needed a whole lot more . Thus another trip to LL and another up charge. All said when done instead of three bags the job took fifteen bags and two extra trips for materials. Then the floor installation began. I had specifically told the estimator I did NOT want 1/4 round around my baseboards upon completion and would pay extra for that. The installers would not do it that way stating it is LL policy to cover end gaps with 1/4 round. I agreed at that point knowing if they removed the baseboards they could have reinstalled or replaced but they would not do it that way. So finally the floor is almost installed but two boxes of planks were bad and had to be replaced. Unfortunately the closest store with them in stock was Baton Rouge-90 miles away. The installers took the trip and returned the next day, finishing up. Now, the floors look great and I'm appreciative the installers did a great job. But the cost went up 25% due to underestimate of installer, a professional, who told me he'd personally done 12000 floors. So , unhappy with the price and increase I went back to LL Slidell and made my case. Thankfully after a week of deliberation we came to an amicable agreement and they credited my card. Not all of the increase but an amount satisfactory to me. Otherwise they would have gotten the fifth star. If you're going to buy there be educated, patient and insistent. It worked for me and I'm happy with my product and installation.

Well, low and behold that was NOT the price. Ended up being near $15.00 per square foot to install new flooring in roughly 480 square feet of space. Do the math. That's over $6,000 to do a bedroom? WTF? If this place is the cheapest in town we're all in trouble. They estimated 4 hours installation. Wanted to charge us $2075 for the cost of that!!! DO NOT LET THEM SWINDLE YOU INTO THINKING THIS SERVICE IS MARKET VALUE. You can get it a WHOLE LOT cheaper. Do your homework. I will update as I go and let you know what I find out.
