My 92 year old mother and I live together and have shopped at Rooms 2 Go for decades. Our last sofa and chairs was from rooms to go, as was my bedroom set. We moved briefly to another state for one year, and then returned to Florida. I did the entire move by myself and when I picked her up at the airport we went straight to Rooms2Go to get a new sofa set. We spent over $3500. It was delivered two days later (they charged for delivery, of course). That same evening, I opened the mail. It was a mover's coupon for $100 off at Rooms to Go if we spent $1,000. There was still a chair we had wanted, and we had already spent $3500+. I went in to the store. They refused to apply it to the purchase we had JUST made or to the new purchase of a chair because the chair was $400. Then the store manager wanted me to give HER the coupon. When I called customer service a few weeks later, they ALSO refused to credit us the $100 or take it off the new purchase. I have literally been buying Rooms 2 Go since 2005, nonstop. Guess what? They just lost me permanently and if anyone asks, I will have nothing positive to say. Pretty stupid business practice. They blamed it on the "computer". I will definitely be letting people know about this. We will go somewhere else in the future. (In fact, I need to look into whether I can return their $3500 living room set). read more

I had a very frustrating experience with Rooms To Go (Plantation location). What should have been a simple bedroom furniture purchase turned into a long, stressful process: * First delivery team refused to move furniture to the second floor and didn't even try to deliver in parts * I had to reorder smaller items because of this * Then they delivered the wrong bed (king instead of queen) * I had to constantly chase them for updates, missing parts, and corrections It took 4 separate deliveries/orders just to complete one bedroom set. Customer service was even worse. Calls kept getting transferred between call center, sales, and store with no accountability. Once payment was made, no one seemed to care. Every correction took 3-4 days to reflect, delaying everything further. In the end, I had to hire my own handyman to install the bed. This completely ruined my furniture buying experience. ROOMS TO GO vs ASHLEY Today I needed to price a new bed from Rooms To Go and Ashley Furniture which are directly next to each other and obviously in competition. As I entered Rooms To Go, I met with a sales representative named Johnny Martinez, who introduced himself and inquired about my interests today. We conversed for ten minutes about bed mattresses and warranties. Rooms To Go provides a ten year manufactures warranty, "Even if the mattress sags one inch" - thats exactly what Johnny said but I did not see those exact words in writing. No extended warranties are available for mattresses but accidental damage warranties for other furniture is available at a cost of 10% of the purchase price for three years and 12% for electric parts. Beautiful furniture and elegant showroom and not too cramped. They also offer various floor rugs from their rug boutique display. The sofa turned out to not be what we had hoped for and after going through some hoops with customer service and a manager, Andy came thru big time. This is when you know if a sales person really cares about their customers. He was able to have the sofa picked up and credited to my credit card immediately. He also gave me a store credit for the restocking fee. I would definitely recommend Andy to anybody who purchases anything from Rooms To Go at the Fort Lauderdale store. Recently came here because we're furnishing out upcoming apartment and the second we got into the door we were greeted by a friendly staff member, Carmella. She took us over to the set we asked about and she told us information about it. She didn't try to push any expensive or other sets onto us and was so helpful with showing us all the items that came with the set. She helped us get our items purchased and set up for shipping so it will be ready for when we wanted it. She even gave us a couple ideas for colors of a couch we purchased as well, to make it nice. Carmella even was saying certain textures just would not be good for the couch and that was great because the other textures were more expensive so she was saving us money! Prices are generic for furniture like every other location of theirs and they had a great amount of products on the floor to look at and test out. My name is Migdia Perez , My husband and I went to the store to buy a sofa for our living room and a new bedroom set. As soon as we walked in, a salesperson approached us, and we started looking around. From the beginning, he only showed us the most expensive sets and tried to influence my decision--not in a professional manner, but in an aggressive and dominant way. Later, he started forcing me to add a warranty to the purchase. I told him no, but he brought a supervisor to try to convince me. However, I know what I want, so I firmly said no. He only mentioned the warranty for the living room sofa. Then, he tried to push me to buy a mattress, telling me, "Buy the best one, so you don't end up like a customer who didn't listen to me. He called me today, saying he needed to replace his mattress, and I told him he now has to wait 30 days and pay $160 to exchange it." He was clearly trying to manipulate me. At this point, I was already uncomfortable with the salesperson, but my husband told me, "We're almost done." Now comes the worst part. When it was time to pay, I made a $500 deposit to continue paying later. However, when I checked my invoice before making the full payment, I noticed they had added protection plans to both the bedroom set and the sofa. I immediately called the salesperson and told him I had clearly said several times that I didn't want a warranty. He replied, "Oh, it's the system that adds it automatically." Then, as I proceeded with the payment, I realized the price of the bedroom set was not the same. I had purchased it for $1,088, but now the system showed $1,188. I called the salesperson again, and he said I had bought a queen-size bed, implying that was the correct price. Then, he changed his story and said the warranty was included in the price. I told him that wasn't true. After that, he said the system had made a mistake with the prices. Luckily, I had taken photos of the items I purchased because, from the very beginning, I didn't trust the salesperson and suspected something like this might happen. This entire situation is extremely shameful and embarrassing. Consumers should be protected and valued so they come back, not deceived and manipulated. Unfortunately, the only word to describe what happened to me is theft. Rooms to Go should seriously review what is happening in their stores to ensure customers are protected from these unethical practices. read more

Today we went shopping for a bedroom set and a king size mattress. We started at Ashley Furniture which is attached to RTG at this location in Sunrise. After spending over an hour looking at mattresses and learning all about the phenomenal adjustable base that raises your head and legs, vibrates and makes you sooooo incredibly comfortable, we picked a mattress and adjustable frame and it came out to $7500!!!!! Had not even added the price of the actual bedroom set at this point. So we went next door to Rooms to Go because there was a bedroom set online that we really wanted to see. To put it in a nutshell, we wound up with the king size bedroom set, a therapeutic mattress, AND the adjustable frame for a total of $6500!!! If we had added the bedroom set at Ashley we would have easily come out at $10k !! Needles to say we are extremely happy and never went back to Ashley. Holy moly the price difference is insane! Pay attention people, do not be suckered into those crazy prices! read more

This review is for the full line Rooms to Go. I did not see kids furniture, but it was the only place to check in. We came in to get a mattress. I saw they had an extended President's Day sale so we came to check it out. I remember back in the day when my whole house was furnished by RTG. I've long since outgrew that stage, but one has to admit they have the best financing around. And they have come a long way. Their furniture is looking very modern and more elegant than it used to. We looked at three different mattresses. Yes, just three. In the past I have tested so many that at the end of the day I am more confused than when I began. And end up not getting one for fear to choosing the wrong one. I took the complete opposite route this time. The sales associate was very helpful and not pushy, we were able to leave, have lunch and talk about it without her pressuring us to buy. In the end I got exactly what I wanted and the process was painless. I cant wait for my bed!! read more

Their products don't last a year. I purchased a sofa and there was a frame issue with it. Later I purchased another sofa, and cushions are collapsed and they are not replaceable. I will never step foot in this store again. We picked out a couch for our house and they had no problem charging us for it. They told us when it would be here and we left happy knowing our sofa would be here soon. Well I guess a body shouldn't be too sure about anything. We get a call saying that our couch will be delivered and they gave us the date and we said thank you then maybe another week or so went by and they called to confirm that they were delivering the next day and the time frame when they are delivering in. At this point I give our couch away knowing that the new couch will be here in the morning. Well guess what one shouldn't be too sure! Literally as our couch is driving away to the people we just gave it to my phone rings and it's rooms to go delivery company saying they are not bringing the couch and they will not have the couch for 4 to 6 weeks. So now we have nowhere to sit because we gave our couch away I can sit on the floor but my husband who is a veteran and has plates pins and screws in his back cannot. We made several phone calls and got the same answer from everyone that it's not their problem we didn't do it and we don't know. Were the answers we got. . So finally we went to the rooms to go to store and talked to a manager he was helpful and offered to give us a loaner sofa until the new sofa could arrive that we paid for. He wanted to charge us for the second sofa the loaner one and I said absolutely not I said we already paid for one so if I'm not paying for two. He left for a few minutes he came back and he said no problem. So the loaner couch came and it was fine it worked out at least my husband had a place to sit. When they brought the new sofa and took the loaner everything was supposed to be fine. When I looked at my credit card statement a couple days later they double charged me they charged me for the loaner sofa and for my new sofa. What I have had to go through in the amount of time I've had to spend on the phone and the amount of times I've had to drive to the store just to get something I paid for or just to get a credit back of something that I didn't buy has been ridiculous! So far they still charged me double for something that shouldn't be. I will no longer shop at the store I highly recommend that you don't shop at the store as they are evidently in my opinion and my opinion only they are crooks that double charge sometimes. Who charges double and then doesn't give it back? Hopefully I'll keep on it and I'll get the money back that we are owed. but just so you don't have to go through all this I definitely recommend you don't shop at this store! read more

Went to the store looking for US made sofa/loveseat. The salesperson was very nice, and we found a set we liked and purchased it. First moment of "what on earth" came when I asked for the extended warranty policy. I was handed a laminated sheet that related to the terms and conditions of the sale and not the policy as I requested. I ignored this because I was paying less than $200 for the warranty and, working in the legal field, I know I would hold their feet to the fire if I ever needed warranty and the warranty company tried to play any games with me. Things went south when I accidentally learned that the salesperson misrepresented to us that the set was US made when it was, in fact, made in Vietnam. Eventually, after many calls, I learned that the manufacturer is a company named "Happy Furniture" out of Vietnam. I immediately cancelled delivery of the set and requested a full refund. I spoke with the store manager who claimed there must have been some misunderstanding as the salesperson in question has been with RTG for decades. I disagree with such assessment because I pointedly asked the salesperson the question about the furniture's provenance on three separate occasions and on each such instance, he didn't merely represent the furniture as US made but went beyond by stating that shipping assembled furniture from Asia was cost prohibitive hence these sets were made in the US. While I am still waiting for the refund, the store manager and front office have stated that the full refund should be applied within 7-10 days. So, not so happy furniture to me. Now looking for a US made set in other stores. No more RTG for us, ever. Experiences such as this remind me that one cannot truly trust salespeople. Ask, investigate, research, always be careful. I bought a beautiful sofa one year ago from salesperson Dante for my husband's birthday and the experience was so much better than at chitty furniture. We also bought a fireplace tv entertainment center and other home furniture. What a nice experience after the nightmare sofa purchase from chitty furniture years prior. Dante was awesome and when we had a minor problem, he had it fixed immediately, unlike chitty furniture who argued about the horrible sofa problems and NEVER fixed the problems. I have since bought more furniture for my daughter's home and highly recommend this store and Dante....sorry it took so long for my review! read more

She let me know that I have to go to Pompano or Pembroke Pine if I want to see the beds, touch the material etc. Or she can show me online and sell it to me (w/o see the bed in person). I just ask her can you show me and if I like maybe... she did not even let me finish talk and her actitud and way to help a costumer make me walk away and talking alone. I would have actually loved to give zero stars but there was no option for that. They have a really good silver tongued sales people but the delivery is almost unacceptable. Number one, the couch that was chosen was not the couch that came to my end it was a totally different color you can almost say day and night. Number two, they did not even try to correct the issue. I had to contact them and be on top of it to make sure that I get the product that I had ordered. Number three, there was no form of remorse or substitution for the inconvenience that they have cost me. Number four their response was very automated, worse than the telemarketers call that we get where they read the script. Number five, if you are shopping at this particular location please make sure that you go behind them and check what they are entering in the system so that you don't have to go through the inconvenience that I'm going through. Number six, The couch was ordered a week ago now they're gonna say the couch is gonna be redelivered on 29 March. The third-party delivery people were more helpful than the people inside the store. I am highly disappointed and saddened to see the low level of customer service and a non existing sense of urgency that they have towards their customers and the lack ofrespect for their customers time . I have to say, after spending 25 years working with customer service for major corporations it was disturbing to me to see just how condesending and passive aggressive these representatives were in dealing with the issues with my sectional purchase. First they damaged one of the pieces of my sectional on my original delivery day so the brought me only the left hand side of the sectional. A week later they delivered the right side and because they were not a set the two pieces did not line up. I called customer service and requested a new set. After all, $2,000 for the sectional I expect it to right. They refused at first and then agreed after I requested to speak with a manager (who they said was not available). Anyway, customer service seems to be dead at this company. In the future I will purchase elsewhere. I will follow up after next Wednesday when they are suppose to bring me a new set. We'll see. We bought a sofa with recliners at each end, a stationary love seat and a large television stand. Paid it off over a year early. End recliner breaks. They take a couple of weeks to agree to come out. They then agree a part is broken, IF they have it in stock it could take 30 days. If they had to order it, then 90-120 days. And it would be sent to us. So we have 1) concern of porch pirates and when it might be delivered as they can not tell us, but more importantly, we are without the use of this. It has been over 60 days and same nonsense. Extremely disappointed in Rooms to Go and the way they handle their customer service. My Mom bought a couch from them and paid for an extended warranty. One year has gone by, and I noticed that the silver embellishments on the couch are starting to rust. The weird thing is that only the silver bullets on the side of the couch are rusting, and not the ones on the top of the couch. Regardless, the rust color is starting to spread to the fabric. Rooms to Go sent someone out to look at the couch and take photos. A week later, they tell my mom that rust isn't covered under the warranty... Excuse me? What exactly does the warranty cover then? Why should a couch start rusting after one year? Too bad because I am moving in March and need a new couch, dining room set, and dresser. Wont be giving them my business! read more

The guy at the showroom was amazing. His names David, so sweet and very helpful. Delivery dudes are awesome as well. The issue I have is how in the actual heck do they come 3 different times. The first time they had the wrong TV stand, the second time there was a massive hole in the back, and the third time was broken in the box. This is absolutely ridiculous. I NEVER complain and y'all got my blood boiling on this. Please do yourself a favor, and choose a better company for your furniture. Came here on impulse to potentially purchase a dining set I had been stalking online for a few weeks. I asked the associate, M, "when is the next time this dining set is going on sale because I saw the sale online just ended." Of course, in true saleswoman fashion, she took that to mean "I want that dining set today for the sale price I saw even though the sale is over." She tells the manager who she says is going to "work on it." She then proceeds to tell me that I should pay the $100 for insurance on the set because the manager was working this deal for me. The sale itself only dropped the price from $999 to $875, so why would I...? Anyway, then she tells me that the set had never been on sale and I was wrong. (I had literally shown her a screenshot of the sale on my phone) The fact that she even began to insinuate that I was lying when my initial question alluded to the fact that I was aware that it was currently listed at full price really turned me off. The fact that she tried to argue me down about what I knew was true instead of just saying "I'm sorry. We're unable to honor the sale price today." Which, as aforementioned, my only inquiry was when the next sale was going to take place. Then, once she saw that she had essentially ruined the sale she tried to force me into talking to the manager about it after I told her no thank you 4 times as I walked out. The saleswoman really put her foot in her mouth because I loved the Kenbridge dining set so much that I was willing to pay full price. (PS.
