Whatever you do DO NOT shop at this location. (Davie location University Drive). George is a very rude and nasty man. Trying to resolve a problem is impossible and the owner and George could not care less about you. Once you buy, don't think for a minute that if you have a problem that someone will help with the problem. You are on your own. Again, George is the only employee in the store. Having a problem with the purchase, George offered to have the owner call me. After waiting 5 days, I called George to follow up since I had not received a call from the owner. The response I got from George was "I told him the situation and faxed the information to corporate and whatever he decides is up to him". Before I could say anything more George hung up on me!!! As of this post, I have not heard anything from either the owner, David Crone, or George. Guess I am on my own.The bed itself is horrible. I got a "hard" lumpy bed when I specifically made it a point and made it clear that I do not like hard beds. I was told by George in order to help break in the bed is to walk on the mattress every night for 30 days to break up the gel in the mattress!!! I DON'T THINK SO!! In addition, the mattress height is higher than what a California King mattress height should be which presents another problem. They would not take back the mattress even though I offered to pay for the delivery back to the factory and pay a fee. Chances are if you have a problem, you will get hung up on or get attitude in the store or because they got your money you will not get the decency of a phone call. Maybe that's why nobody is ever in the store. Customers don't like RUDE obnoxious sales people and "owners" who don't give a damn. You have been warned. $2300.00 down the drain. read more

This is my second mattress from Mattress Barn. The first was purchased in Palm Beach, but the great customer service and selection can be found at this Davie location as well. This time around I was on the hunt for a natural twin mattress for a toddler bed. Since anything with "organic" or "natural" in the description means a hefty price increase, my budget was around $400. I tried Macys, City Furniture, and BJ's and couldn't find anything in my price range. Macys doesn't even carry twin mattresses. Lo and behold! Bedding Barn carries a great selection of twin mattresses, and I purchased a 100% cotton twin mattress (with metal springs of course) for $160. It's double sided so I can lengthen the years it will be in use. I had money left over to purchase a waterproof fitted sheet for the mattress - made with eucalyptus fibers - and breathable, so great for the little one and the mattress, too. All in all, I spent less than $250 and came way under budget. More importantly, it's a mattress I feel good about my child sleeping on since it's the "old-fashioned kind from when I was a kid" (per salesman), with no chemicals. read more

This store is awesome! They have great customer service and a great selection of beds. The approach is low pressure which is always a plus, they are knowledgeable, and if they don't know something off hand they will call and find out the answer. We bought a new mattress for our master bedroom here a few years ago and were so impressed we came back in this weekend for new beds for our sons room and guest room. George was very helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy at all. Customer service was wonderful and received my two new beds today and the delivery gentlemen could not have been any nicer. Very poor customer service phone skills. Pretty much hung up on me when I inquired about a mattress. In the end, we went elsewhere and got the mattress we wanted. We figured if the representative was so rude and unhelpful...I can't imagine how they would treat us if we needed or ran into issues following our purchase. read more

I called and asked what the hours were for today(Sunday) the man said 6:00 pm. I arrived at the davie location @ 5:30pm. The doors were locked, I saw a man coming from the back of the store, he opened the door and said what can I do for you? I said it's 5:30 and your closed already, his answer was I start closing at 5:30.. Ok.. He lets me in the store and I said I'm looking for a queen sized mattress he points his finger and tells me they are over there.. I thought that was rude..I walk over & see 5 in my size, I ask him, is there a sale going on? His reply check sale paper on Black Friday, ok now I'm really mad, I tell him that's ok I'm on my way to mattress one down the street ,he proceeds to tell me to be careful,make sure I'm not getting a mattress from china.. Really, I was shocked. Needless to say I went to mattress one and bought my mattress and box spring, it is being delivered tomorrow..... read more

I agree with everyone saying they had great customer service when purchasing their mattress. BUT, that service ends when you are not happy with your purchase. I tried every mattress in the store, asked questions, and finally after an hour purchased what I thought was the perfect mattress. Within days of delivery I returned to the store. The mattress was hard as a rock, and not even remotely like the "plush" mattress I tested and purchased. I was told that the mattress I tried had been in the showroom for a very long time, and that thousands of people have tested it... that is why is feels so "plush". I was told I could not return the mattress, but they would give me the floor model. The one that thousands of people had tested? NO!!! What happened to the 30 day return policy I was told about? Well, it was then I was shown a small sign on the wall stating their "policy". In order to return the mattress it must be damaged and still wrapped in the plastic it was delivered in. The same plastic the gentlemen delivering the bed took off. I was told that the owner would be called to see what could be done to help me out. But NOTHING! No call, No resolution! When I contacted the manufacturer I was told that they did not have a "plush" mattress with that name. The mattress I purchased was a "firm" mattress. Exactly what I did NOT want. I now have an $800 mattress I can not sleep on. I would highly recommend going somewhere else to purchase your mattress. read more
