I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Rooms To Go. I purchased a sofa from them, and after normal use, it caused visible, permanent damage to my flooring in the exact areas where the sofa was placed (see photos). These are not minor marks--these are deep stains/pressure damage that cannot be removed, effectively ruining sections of my floor. When I contacted the store and customer service, I expected them to stand behind their product. Instead, they refused to take responsibility, offering no meaningful solution, no repair, and no accountability. Let me be clear: This was normal use, not misuse The damage is directly linked to the sofa's materials/feet The issue appeared exactly where the sofa was positioned For a company of this size, this level of customer support is unacceptable. Selling furniture that damages flooring--and then refusing to address it--is simply not okay. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying furniture here to: Be very cautious Check what materials are in contact with your floors Document everything Because if something goes wrong, don't expect them to help you. I had a really good experience at this Rooms to Go. I entered the store knowing exactly what I wanted (which helps when you go into a huge store full of commission-based sales people). Their kids' furniture showroom is on steroids. As soon as I walked in, I started to second guess what I was really there for. Ultimately, I wanted a blue dresser and matching nightstands for my son's room (he's bittersweetly growing out of the changing table phase). My sales person was Lou and he was very kind and knowledgeable. I really wanted the furniture right away and since I'm a teacher and couldn't be home for the delivery, he advised that I could head down to the warehouse in Lakeland to pick it up myself. I foolishly thought I would fit everything in my SUV. That was on me. As a result, I ended up taking TWO same day round trips to and from North Tampa to Lakeland to get all of the furniture I paid for. The furniture I purchased is of high quality and VERY HEAVY. Thank God for kind neighbors who helped me get it up my narrow staircase. If I'm ever in the market for new furniture, I will likely return to this Rooms To Go. I do like Ashley and other brands but R2G has been around since I was a kid and that should be worth something. read more

I have had the worst experience with Rooms to Go. I ordered a couch an placed a $245 deposit on it. Unfortunately I had to cancel it because life happens. I was told I would get my refund in 7 to 10 business days. Well here we are 30 days later and I still have not received my refund. They told me its s system error they are working on it. My question is why is that my problem. Pay me my money and work out your system error on your time. I heard their furniture is crappy but took the chance to order any way. Well if there customer service is anything like their furniture they dont have to ever worrying about me ordering from them again. I bought a Jonathan and Drew sofa. The material worn out fast. They exchanged 2 of the cushions. But the cushions worn out again. The manager took it back but minus 30%. Said it was for restocking and pick up. I ended up exchanging it for a Bradford sofa recliner. I really wanted something else but I didn't have alot of money to work with after they took 30% off my return. When I sat on the sofa at the store it felt soft. When they deliver the new sofa it did not feel.the same. This one is as hard as a rock. I said something to the manager and he said it will soften. It has not softened. Edmund Caro, assistant manager at Rooms to Go Kids, Wesley Chapel, FL, did not offer to get me another supervisor to consider not charging me more money to rectify a trundle bed not fitting into my furniture. The delivery people dropped the bed off and told me I had 90 days to return, asked me for bottled water and skated out. A customer service person told me they would call me right away on Friday, November 21, 2025, to rectify. Saturday passed and no call. Sunday I called and the salesperson told me nobody called her. She told me that there were no thinner mattresses. Then I ordered one online through Amazon waiting on hold for her to check what could be done as the mattress did not fit. Then she comes back "yes we do have a 6" for $125 .. $69 less than the one I purchased." Great, "give me that." Wait! They want $208 more to exchange a cheaper mattress. I say I will deliver and save the money. Ed said "no corporate won't allow that. " ok so pay more for less on something that did not fit?? That is fuzzy math and VERY POOR COSTOMER SERVICE for an assistant mgr!Hope corporate and his direct mgr don't mind being spoken for. I am a manager and I would be speaking to the levels of disservice and misinformation and would have worked this out for the customer. Order through Amazon and save yourself the headache. Moving forward I will not do business with Rooms To Go anymore. I've purchased thousands of dollars of furniture with them and I've concluded that their products are of poor quality. If you think you are getting a good deal then you've been fooled. Your furniture will start to fall apart within 6 months to a year and a half. The worst part is that they sell you an insurance/extended warranty that covers "everything". Lies. Don't be fooled by your sales rep. The company that provides the extended warranty is called Fortegra and they will do their best not to replace your poor quality furniture. In fact, if you read the service contract you'll find that they don't cover much. Most insurances aren't in the business of protecting consumers so I wasn't surprised when they denied my claims. Apparently the manufacturer warranty and the extended warranty cover different issues and if you were to draw a Venn diagram of all of the things they both don't cover, you'll find that most issues that aren't covered are the overlapping section between the two warranties..in other words, you're out of luck. In conclusion, find a furniture company with high quality products. Rooms To Go should be your last option. Rooms to Go does not make high quality products, instead, they make low to moderately low quality products. Their insurance/extended warranty adds little to no value and they provide a low ROI. read more

FIRST. I purchased a Black cherry livingroom set and the sent me a tan one and was also looking at a beanbag chair. I took the beanbag chair out of the the basket because did not want to spend the money. When i got home immediately called them and said the sent the wrong item. The came and exchanged for the correct item. Refused to take the bean bag chair back so after being in the hospital with a broken back I called today the store and said this is the first time I could call because of my procedure and the said that i did not call within 48 hour. Never buy any care plan from Rooms to Go especially with Fortegra as they will never replace or repair any damage and you have to call them many times to get disconnected and disappointed, I had a coffee stains on my sofa and i have filled a claim to fix it . coffee stains are clearly covered under the policy and even Service guy visited to to fix it and suggested this can not be fixed and you can go for replacement. But at the last rooms to go denied my claim saying its overall discoloration and we can not cover this. As as customer i feel like helpless and thinking why i paid unnecessary money for extended coverage. read more

My husband and I have been customers of Rooms To Go for years and have always been pleased. We purchased a living room set back in August 2022 and had numerous issues with it. After dealing with customer service and getting nowhere, we contacted our sales associate at the store in Wesley Chapel, Hunter LaHart. We worked with him and It was replaced twice but again had issues. From the purchase of our furniture to all the replacements Hunter has helped ensure we were pleased. After the third set and having issues again we went into the store. Hunter worked with his manager and they decided they did not want to give us another set. They chose to give us a full credit for our purchase which allowed us to pick a different set. We are confident this new set will work out. Our sales associate, Hunter LaHart was the only reason this whole process was smooth. When we walked into the showroom, there were many associates lounging on the furniture making it awkward for us to view some sets. This is just another example of why cannot say enough about our sales associate, Hunter. He is the epitome of great customer service. We have truly been blessed by him and he gives us hope in humanity. I hope Rooms To Go appreciates him and would be wise to utilize him to train staff. The customer service we received from him is very, very rare nowadays. We are certain we will be back to buy additional furniture from Hunter. On another note, we don't use google which is why we did not review Hunter on google at the time of our purchase in August. We promised him we would make sure to give him a review this time. Bought this leather living room sectional less than 2 years ago from Rooms to go. Paid almost $4,000. They will not cover the stitching that is coming undone. They claim they don't cover normal wear. I don't think 2 average adults, no children in the home, not misused or abused in any way would cause this or call it normal. I call it POOR QUALITY POOR WORKMANSHIP AND ABSOLUTELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They wouldn't even assist us to find someone to come and repair it. Never again. 2/27/2022 I had the privilege of working with employee Chris Gifford yesterday in purchasing a new queen bed.  Before I even started looking, I described exactly what I needed.  He identified immediately and took me to two beds which perfectly matched my criteria.  Instantly I KNEW both were exactly what I wanted and both were on sale!!!!    I made my selection and thanked him for being so pleasant to work with;  I think I made his day as he made mine. DONT finance with them. I have financed with 60 months interest free and I signed everything and they use a bank called Synchrony. To my surprise, the first month I had to pay, the FULL balance was charged to my account. I asked RTG and they could not help me and said I have to clarify with Synchrony (ridiculous). Then talking to Synchrony, they said that the DEFAULT option is to select 1 time payment (WHATTT?? I SIGNED A DAMN CONTRACT). The only reason I had to use Synchrony is to FINANCE!! Broken process, lot of people unhappy, just don't do business with them. Three weeks ago, I visited 3 different Rooms to Go locations and talked to multiple sales reps. After about a week of shopping of going back and forth between Rooms to Go locations, I finally purchased 2 rooms of furniture with warranties. During all my visits to each location AND when picking up at the distribution center, NEVER WAS I MADE AWARE OF A 48 HOUR RETURN PERIOD! My purchase was made at the Wesley Chapel location with Chris. We discussed the return policy relative to mattresses, but he never made me aware it was a difference specific to furniture. Now I'm stuck with pieces I don't need and paying for the warranty I'll never use because I don't need the piece. I hate shady and dishonest business practices so I'll be certain to share my experience with others and I won't be shopping Rooms 2 Go any longer. read more

I've recently bought over 10k worth of furniture from them. Our daughters bedroom set is so cheaply made it's crazy and cost was almost 5k! Her board that holds the mattress and the rails on the bed set broke. We've gotten the run around for months, even got pushed off to the warranty company. Warranty company says it's in manufacturer warranty and manufacturer warranty says they aren't covering it. Do your self a favor and DO NOT BUY HERE! If you have any problems you will get the run around for months for them to tell you screw you. Let me just start by saying RTG was my go to furniture store prior to this incident. This is my third purchase and never had a serious issue like my last experience. I recently purchased a dining room set. I paid cash for it and my delivery date was a week later. Now I paid for the delivery fee PLUS set up. Okay fair enough.......omgggg this is when the craziness begins!! First the delivery guys delivery guys dropped off the set while I was at work, I had my adult son there to allow them to set up. After a long day of work I come home to my surprise to see freaking boxes in my dining room with the chairs Saran wrapped and with there blankets. immediately I phoned the delivery service customer service number to be told I'm sorry we were told NOT to set it up...... ARE....YOU.....SERIOUS! Exactly how I said it! I informed them to look on the receipt! It clear states I paid for a set up, the person responded I understand but the driver states there were told not to set up. UNBELIEVABLE! If the owner of the furniture inform you or change the contract you don't change it! I told her why would my son tell you not to set up and he was offended also and kept saying I didn't tell them not to set it up. Why would I do that?? I don't have the capability to set it up that's why I paid the extra fee! I was promised a call back from the delivery manager but never received a call. There was no way I would be capable of setting up this huge table that was delivered in two separate boxes. I was so angry! I returned to the store and just like all the other reviews...RUDE! Horrible customer service, again I was promised a call and an email was supposedly sent to the delivery manager again. I was promised a tech from the delivery service will return to set it up or I can get the refund for the delivery fee. Maybe I can then pay someone else to set it up.....FOR REAL! I'm not making this up, this is wha they told me..Now this is issue has been brewing for 2weeks, boxes in my dining room and I'm not happy! I phoned the delivery service numerous times to finally a guy told me sorry there's nothing we can do. One last visit, I return to RTG and demanded a refund and for them to come pick up this furniture. So then the manager came up with an idea of reordering my table just to get the delivery to return to my home and set it up. Ridiculous!! Sorry this is a long review but I couldn't believe!! Delivery another week later! The delivery guys is not professional at all! These dummies phoned me the day of the delivery and ask my gate code. I responded I do not have a gate code, there is security guards. These fools was at the wrong place! They were at an apartment complex about 2miles down the road... HELLO...ITS CALLED GPS! I literally had to stay on the phone with them to direct them to my place. Omgggg 2hours later a second delivery guy call and say we are on our way..WTH! Adding to the long list of disappointments! Couch was supposed to arrive between 11am - 3pm. Somehow they changed that from 10am -2pm without updating me. I took off work by driving all the way back from St Pete so I could be home for the delivery. Got the text that they were ready to set up. There's no truck, no door bell rang, nothing. I'm assuming they went to the wrong address. Long story short, if they go to the wrong address, you are still "punished" by not only having to wait 2 WHOLE DAYS to just try to reschedule, but another week or two long wait afterwards to meet that new deadline. Worst system I've ever dealt with, worst customer service and acting like they can't accommodate anything when it was their fault to begin with. Never ordering anything from them again. Well first of all, they display furniture in their showroom that in reality does not exist elsewhere. You have to order it and it is made somewhere else, after the order is placed, probably then manufactured by Chinese School Children. We got a delivery date four months out, which is pretty inexcusably terrible service, but it was a pandemic so we smiled politely and scratched our heads, but that is just the start. Today, on our delivery day, after we had our old furniture carted off, they delivered the wrong furniture, then pressured us to keep it. We of course sent it back, and now they claim that it will be another month to correct the error. Basic customer no service. The store manager spent about 30 minutes on the phone trying to place blame on everyone else but himself, rather than solve the problem, and he repeatedly claimed no responsibility whatsoever himself. Plenty of time to rake the buyers and warehouse employees and drivers over the coals though. Guess he doesn't work for the company? He obviously has no idea what continuous quality improvement or process management is. He should have been proactively all over this. It is basic root cause analysis, which from looking at previous reviews, he apparently has no interest in. Hint: quality improvement is about the elimination of errors in advance of them occurring. When things do not go right, it is the ENTIRE teams problem and failing, from the CEO to the custodian, and it must be made right. Another month or more wait with no furniture is unacceptable. The problem is fundamentally that they just do not care. At one point during our conversation the Manager actually had the gall to tell me he had to go home soon. It was about 4:15 at the time. Must be nice. What would happen if I applied that idea to my work in the emergency department. Sorry Ms Jones, but I have to go home and eat now, so I am turning off your cardiac meds, or oh sorry, but it was the pharmacy that gave you the wrong medicine not me. Every industry needs to be held to the exact same high standard, with a goal of zero errors, and with contrition and a means of customer compensation when they occur. But not at Rooms To Go. No remorse, no doing what needs to be done on the same day to make it right, just nice, basic love it or shove it lame excuses from the manager. I will update this review if there is a satisfactory and timely solution, which will likely be never. I would write the CEO, but the fish rots from the head down. Avoid this place like the plague. You won't regret it, and never, ever accept "that's not my job" as an excuse. read more

We purchased a new mattress and mechanical base last weekend that was delivered today. We called right away when we realized that We had the wrong base. After spending over an hour on the phone(most of it on hold) we were told that we received the base that our salesman Emilio Brittain had ordered for us. We had specific features that both my husband and I agreed to. We don't know if it is Rooms to Go or our salesman who made the mistake but considering the price we paid we should expect to get the product that we agreed on when making the purchasing decision. Bought a dresser that was delivered damaged. Six weeks have gone by while repairmen have come and gone and wrong parts ordered. In the process of trying to get a new dresser and waiting for that. Sales manager let me know that I should just get the part as the defect might be with all of the dressers and I would just have to go through all of this again. read more

Unfortunately, the bank that sponsors their RTG cc is an Absolute nightmare. They made it impossible to purchase furniture just because I changed my phone number! That's the only reason I'm giving the review 3 stars. Colette on the other hand deserves 5!! She even called me the next day to see if I needed anything. Beware of scummy sales people that will charge you for warranty protection plans that they never even disclosed to you. This was my experience the last time I visited this location. I purchased a bench for my dining room set and was sold a $20 protection plan which I knew nothing about. I came to notice this when I actually looked at my receipt and saw the charge. When I called the location to confront them about this, the lady that answered the phone was trying to down play this and sweep it under the rug as if she delt with this kind of thing every day. She just told me that I would be refunded the money and wanted me to end the call after that but I wasn't going to let it go unnoticed so I asked to speak with the store manager. I wanted to make the manager aware that this was going on in her store because I thought she might want to know. When the manager gets on the phone, I start to explain my issue and she cuts me off and says "oh I already heard about your issue, I was next to the last person you spoke to" Frankly she seemed to be in on this whole scheme, she acted as if she did not care not one bit. After I was done telling her how unethical and straight up wrong this is, all she said was "ok". I regret not giving her a harder time and asking her "do you just not care?" I contemplated contacting corporate and taking this a step further but I was discouraged by my previous experience with this manager. I'm sure they are are all in on this scheme. They will sell you the furniture and then disappear on you if you have any problems with delivery. Do not count on any type of quality customer service. My wife and I were looking for a leather love seat and matching couch for our family room. We were looking for furniture made in the USA and that was going to be available in the NEAR future. We were greeted by CHRIS - we told him what we were looking for and he knew when to get out of our way. When we did seem to have a question - he was there - answered our question - and then got out of our way. He did not hang over our shoulders as some sales people do at other stores. We found something we liked and Chris told us that the next delivery was projected to be in six weeks. We returned to the store a few days later and Chris said that he had been tracking the set we liked and one hit the warehouse in between our visits. We were thrilled ! PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!(-5rating) Bought an expensive mattress back in October and I still have no mattress and I have been paying on it. The first mattress they sent me did not expand when it came out of the wrapper. The second mattress they sent me did not expand when it came out of the wrapper. They then sent an inspector out who said these mattresses are horrible. We have a lot of bad reviews, so I'm sure they will be contacting you to compensate you or get you a new mattress. One month later, I have to call them to find out what is going on. I wouldn't recommend purchasing furniture from any Rooms To Go. The customer service at the store was okay. The sales guy seemed nice enough but a little irritated that we kept looking around. We ended up purchasing a living room set (which included sofa, loveseat, 2 chairs and an ottoman) on February 5th. It came out to a little over $2300 which isn't cheap but definitely less expensive than other (preferred) stores. It was delivered the very next day which was great. Two weeks later, I find that the seams of the sofa is coming undone. I then inspect all the pieces and removed the cushions from every piece. I'm extremely disappointed in the poor workmanship as well as the materials used. This is by far the cheapest materials I've ever encountered used for furniture. Again, the workmanship is horrible, as if someone was in a hurry and just threw these pieces together with staples. Many of the seams are sewn over and over again in the same spots which causes the threads to layer in clumps. There's an opening on the sofa and loveseat which I can not only stick my hand through the hollow opening and reach the back of the sofa but I can also see inside the sofa which looks and feels like thin cardboard. (See my attached pictures.) I have called the customer service and they will be sending someone out next week. We will see how this issue is going to be corrected. The unfortunate part is that you can't correct the cheap materials. Had I known this was the quality of the items, I would have never bought them regardless of the price. I have never had a customer experience so frustrating as to write a review before... 8/11 - Ordered 4 items, all in stock, that were set up for delivery 8/17 8/17 - Morning of, I sent a text to the salesperson who helped me make my purchases letting them know that the number on the paperwork was wrong (my fault for not checking it thoroughly before leaving the store) so that the driver could be alerted for my delivery later that day. No response. Not a problem, as they may not be working that day. I reach out via the live chat function to a customer service representative so that the number can be changed and the dispatcher/driver alerted. Am told the changed number has been noted. Never get a call, product not deliverd. 8/18 - Go back to the store to make sure that a change was made to the phone number so this would not happen again. Ordered another item while I was there. I figured if I was going to have another delivery anyway, why not. Am assured (I asked multiple times) that the number has been changed and noted for my account, that a note was made for the next driver of the correct number to be called. Have delivery of all items set for 8/27. 8/26 - No day before call to verify time frame next day 8/27 - Text salesperson again, saying I did not get a timeframe and was worried the same thing was going to happen as my first delivery. No response. Call customer service, and use live chat function, to confirm my furniture was on the truck w/ correct phone number. One rep reaches out to dispatcher to make sure of number and product. Am told all is good, that the driver is at the stop before mine and will call soon. No delivery, no call. It is clear that my stop has been skipped. I reach back out to C/S, and ask that they see if the driver is still nearby so that they can come back and deliver. Am told it is not possible Call C/S and ask again that the number be changed to the correct one. Ask that I be able to talk to someone who can refund my delivery fee. Manager of C/S tells me that until this point, my number had never been changed in spite of what everyone had told me. Made it a point to ask me what records I had of the live chats, or records that I had of asking for the change. Keeping track of Rooms To Go employees was somehow my responsibility. Named a few people that I had spoken to via the live chat and asked the number to be changed, was told I would be refunded $100 (delivery fee was about $250) as a "courtesy" because the number being wrong was my fault. It was not this persons fault the issue had happened, but their approach to this conversation was unacceptable. Trying to hold me responsible for retaining proof of my actions (fell just short of feeling like I was being called a liar), and the actions of employees this person directly oversaw. Hung up and decided to take it back up with the store. 8/28 - In-person visit. Paperwork is handed to me, and I am told I will receive a phone call to sort this all out. No call by the end of the day 8/29 - No call 8/30 - No call 8/31 - Getting to the end of the day, I decide to call Rooms To Go to try to set up delivery again. Cannot deliver 9/3... trucks are full. I feel that if someone had called me like they were supposed to, I would have been able to have my delivery. Text the salesperson again, tell them I am at the point I would like to cancel my order if this cannot be sorted out. I am directed to a manager, who finds an outside delivery company to get the furniture to my 9/3. Was a huge help. 9/3 - Am told between 2-6PM for delivery. Team shows up at 8PM without one of the items, when I was told everything would deliver. 9/4 - In person visit again. Manager admits fault for item not showing up. Sets up delivery for following Saturday. Offers me $150 for my time (again, delivery fee was $250ish) Now I am sitting here without one of my items, trying to understand how $150 covers; - 4 days worth of waiting for deliveries - 4-5 hours on hold, on the phone, or on the live chat - 3 visits to the store after the initial one read more

Why must we give stars, there is no star in this company. Should have known better when we had problems with the purchase, but went ahead with it anyway. Bought mattress in 2/2013, it is now over depressions over 2.5 inches, they are charging us $100 to use our warranty, of course they never tell you that with the warranty. Mattress was a Serta.
