They really need to start giving the option of negative stars. I called to meet with an attorney…read morewith their firm - Attorney Weiser. I was impressed with his CV. Instead I get a call back from Associate Attorney David Doria. Not so impressed. I'd called needing an attorney to help wrap up a parent's estate. Not write a new law, my issue is not brain surgery, nor rocket science. My need was not going to make case law. I just need someone respectful. There was no, sorry for your loss, nothing like that. Just a slam, bam, no thank you, mam. He was not pleasant. He was arrogant. I'd left a message that I needed someone who could wrap this up soon, so he starts up - I can't do this in 24-hours.... WTH? You can't even book a massage in 24-hours. I told him it might take 20-25 hours, so he says 30 hours? I can't get that done any sooner than two months, my schedule is full. So why did they pass me off to him in the first place if this was the case instead of having the person who took the call just call me back and say they had no room at the inn? It was not a good fit from the get-go. So he goes on to what? Show me his legal prowess? He claims that Ameriprise and Riversource will trip you up on purpose so they get to keep your money longer. This is ridiculous. Next time I speak with them, I will surely pass this message on, so they can have someone call him back. WTH? It's a clear case of an estate to be closed. No complications. I told him I'd been with a worldwide firm and was a small fish in a very big tank and when I asked for a new attorney there because the one I had had no time to finish this up...it didn't work out and I spent a lot of money for nearly hardly anything to be done in four months. He wanted to know immediately how much money I'd spent. WTH? Right? He has no time, slights two financial institutions and wants me to open my check book to him because he's curious? Everything I said, he had a reason why it was wrong and he was right - there is no way anyone who wanted the business or a good review would respond like this. I don't know this man, but by spending about 14 minutes on the phone with him, I was ready to hang up. I was polite, but I've been around the sun many years, and been in the corporate world dealing with Silicon Valley CEO's, programmers and scientists - primarily male. Nothing had gone from 0-60 like this in my entire career. Frankly, the tone, the questions, the comments.... It didn't feel like I was being listened to, or that he really wanted to make anything clear. It was like a meandering dance with a rattlesnake. Not sure where he was going to try and string next, or why. It felt like he wanted me to hang up. For me, it felt like a misogyny issue. It sure wasn't a good experience. Why would someone treat a potential client this way? This place is too busy, too rude and clearly doesn't want your business, or at least my business. I highly recommend David Doria for men, not good men, but men who don't want to speak to women. These men might have a chance at getting past the initial 14-minute call without feeling like they had their head bitten off, or needing a shower (in a bad way). There are other attorneys at this firm, but their initial protocol might be to send new business to this guy. God forbid you have a female judge. Now, like I said, this is my review of being with him for 10-maybe 14 minutes. Maybe I caught him on the wrong 14 minutes of his day. I completely lost track of time. My next call back was from a lovely attorney. A partner, whom I am meeting with later this week. I imagine it will take $10k-14k to wrap up. So that is...this firm lost roughly $928.00 a minute for the duration of the time we spoke. Maybe they should have someone else do intake with him on another phone. Have a partner sit in when new business comes in until he learns to be respectful of new business. That's what doctors do. That's what bakers do until they figure out the process. That's what sales people do. And veterinarians. Editors. Teachers. Just a thought. His CV reads that he's a really great guy raised tons of money for really worthy causes and did great things at university. It does leave out when he graduated from law school. He must have some good qualities, I just did not find them. Maybe he'd be the best attorney you've ever had. I am just pissed he wasted my time in such a frivolous manner. Please, people leave a ton of reviews to prove me wrong, I hope you do.

Kurt was easy to work with, explaining the process in simple English and ensuring we understood everything. I was so impressed that my husband and I had our own family trust written at GLKHW. Now that my mother has passed, I am in the process of closing out her trust. We are working with David Doria to complete this. He has been a godsend, making sure I understand and complete my duties, keeping me on track, answering a multitude of questions, and checking in with me regularly. He even took the time to answer questions about my mother in law's trust documents. David is knowledgeable, personable, respectful and kind. I trust his judgement and feel confident that his advice is sound. I am so grateful my mother found Greenman, Lacy, Klein, Hinds and Weiser, and that I have legal representation that I can trust implicitly.

She reviewed my purchase contract, disclosures thoroughly, caught what mattered, and gave me honest, no-BS clarity on my next steps. From the moment we started, she skipped the fluff and got straight to work. Every minute counted and none of it was wasted. She spotted that my TDS was not up to date after disclosures were added later, and made sure I knew to be BCC'd on all communications going forward. These are exactly the kinds of things you don't know to look for until it's too late. Her background as both an attorney and a real estate agent gives her perspective that most attorneys simply don't have. But what struck me most is that she is a true advocate for you. Note that I didn't care about suing anyone or carrying on a court battle. All I wanted was these tenants who refused to pay rent out of my life. Attorneys are expensive, and the whole situation drained all my resources. After speaking to other attorneys in my area who wanted outrageous amounts of money, Chris Ridgeway agreed to meet with me and consult my case. After explaining him the situation Chris Ridgeway decided to take my case knowing that I was broke and didn't make a lot of money. I gave Chris the last $500 I had in my pocket as a retainer and he agreed to make a monthly payment plan with me as it was all I could afford. We decided on a cap of $5000 for the case with $500 monthly payments. The case became more complicated as the tenants had counter sued me for a wrongful eviction and served me discoveries. These tenants also decided to sue my brother because he was present while I served them eviction paperwork. Chris also fought my brother's side of the case as it was ridiculous that my brother was even being sued at all. Chris Ridgeway knew it was a frivolous case the other party was counter suing me for, it could get messy, be a lot of work and the tenants already had 3 or 4 prior evictions on their public records! Fast forward almost 1 year later of Chris Ridgeway working hard on my case and the tenants countersuing me are now dropping the case as their attorneys were ditching them as they knew they couldn't win a frivolous case. I'm sure they made a grave mistake encountering my old tenants who stopped paying their rent. Chris Ridgeway helped me in my time of need, he genuinely wanted to help me as a person, he understood my situation, and didn't look at me or treat me like a piggy bank. He is like the Robin Hood in the lawyer world. Not only is he an amazing attorney but proved to be a great man who I hold the upmost respect for. He saved my life. I couldn't speak anymore highly of him and would definitely recommend him to anyone.
