We are returning guests to the Roosevelt Resort and this visit was pretty disappointing. We found countless bugs in our room and our sheets, the drains had a very foul odor, there was no toaster like their used to be in our previous stays, and the WiFi NEVER worked anywhere near our cabin and we had to be directly in front of the office to use the WiFi. In our previous stays here, we have never had problems with bugs, the drains smelling horrible, and connecting to the WiFi and having connection everywhere was never an issue. read more

We stayed in Cabin 23 but it was actually a manufactured home on the side of the area It was really nice and alot of space for our group of 6. We felt like it was a perfect location from the lake! I am giving a 4 star because we did have to deal with spiders and it could have used a little more cleaning. Other than that we will definitely stay again! The front desk gentlemen were very nice and really liked my boyfriend's car. My boyfriend even offered to let him drive it since he accompanied us to see the unit prior to checking in. Great views and ride. Easy to find on most GPS. Boat ramps not far. I prefer the cabins as you have a place to cook, freezer and fridge. We freeze water bottles overnight to add to the coolers which keeps ice and food longer while on the lake. Our cabin needed some repairs (door had a really hard time locking and unlocking by the key, utenstil drawer was busted, bathroom door was slightly busted) but the value, AC in hot months, pet friendliness, kitchen etc was all worth it. We are booked to stay again this summer. read more

This was our second annual stay and it didn't disappoint. The rooms were simple, but clean and spacious. Proximity to Roosevelt lake is perfect for early morning fishing. The pond is always relaxing around sunset and good for 1 good catfish hit a night, hotdogs on the bottom are sure to get some action. Unfortunately my hit came while I was getting another beer from the room and I returned to a broken line. She must have been a big one! The bar and grill are again, simple, but the food was good, beer was cold and the staff were super friendly! Don't get to caught up on the "Resort" part, but I certainly would recommend it for a relaxing evening and a good nights sleep. read more

We stayed in cabin 24. Booked at 5 pm on a Friday and we were able to get a place to stay. It was a cute little space with plenty of room for my family and a super cold AC and loud fan that kept the baby happy (actually identical to the one she has at home!). The restaurant had some of the best food I've had in awhile....and even though it took a bit of time to get it, it was well worth the wait. Boats back up right to door, elderly Mother had to walk around boats to get to door of motel in the darkness. Couldn't see numbers on doors at night. Had to park 6 hotel room doors over from what we reserved. NO MAID SERVICE. Ran out of towels on third day. Was supposed to have maid service every other day. NO RESTAURANT SERVICE. Nearby restaurant 5 minutes away - "Ma's" is a dive and had to wait 75 minutes to get food. Food was good but when the brought the order it was wrong and one of us had to wait for their order even longer. read more

We had a great time staying at the resort park, having the pond stocked with fish was icing on the cake. My grandson caught his first fish ever and was so excited, great memories that day. We stayed in the double wide house which was newly remodeled, it fit the 7 of us comfortably and the kitchen was big. I gave my rating a 4 because there was a mouse invasion and we had to clean up the droppings. Housekeeping could have been more thorough and noticed the problem, as well as just general cleaning. All in all we had a great time, and will return again. read more

A comfortable bed, flushing toilet, AC and cable TV is a luxury if you go to Roosevelt lake in the summertime! We found this little "resort" several years ago after a miserable camping in tents summer trip. The restaurant is open noon-5pm has a full bar. This place is absolutely charming Albeit unassuming. Every single person that I met that worked there was very helpful and very nice. The rooms are plain but spacious and comfortable, everything you need. The back porch area looks out onto the pond and is peaceful and relaxing. The location is perfect for people that are going hiking or fishing. I would not hesitate to recommend these accommodations for anyone traveling to that area! I hate telling other people about this desert gem because I wont be able to find a room. I think romantic getaway for couples, family vacation. A place for hunters and fisherman. - and pet friendly rooms. -- a new launch to the restaurant and bar with expanded hours and a new menu. We stayed at the lake house it was very comfortable worked out for our family quite well. We visit the area often and enjoyed our time. Since the lake house has a kitchen my only complaint is the frying pans were terrible ill bring my own next time. But many little extras were nice. read more

Does not look like the pictures on the website at all! This is not a "cabin" it's a run down trailer! The AC didn't work so they had window AC units which they obviously didn't turn on long before we got there the place was 100 degrees inside. Called the front desk and left a message no one returned my call. The trailer was dirty also. The pond looks disgusting with benches thrown into it. This place is just falling apart no maintenance whatsoever. Which tops it off is my husband and I actually worked at the restaurant they had there due to low staffing and not caring about there employees. There was a few other people that were staying there that helped also which is crazy! We helped the waitress she was the only one there to help over 15 tables while the bartender tried to help out with no dishwasher either. The waitress was going to quit so we stepped in washing dishes, cleaning, and helping her send orders out. The kitchen was so gross! I actually tried to contact Susan which I got her number from an employee to call regarding this situation but she texted me back saying she's out of the country go figure. Never even attempted to call me back or text. We paid for two nights. I still haven't heard back for helping this place keep there staff and make money. It was such a horrible experience! You can't beat the location to access Lake Roosevelt. We stayed in Cabin 19. Very comfortable with a bedroom and living area separated. Sleeps3 if you use sofa sleeper. Shower was very small. Not luxurious but after a day on the lake it fulfilled our needs. Nice to have a stove and refrigerator. They accommodated our late check in. We will stay again. read more

A group of us recently stayed for 3 days (check-in on Thursday 6/11, with a Sunday 6/14 departure) and rented 4 rooms. We were quoted $69/per night, but wasn't advised until we got there that the $69/per night price did not include the weekend days (including Friday). What were we to do...we had already drove all the way from Tucson with boats in tow and weren't going to turn around. Who knows...perhaps that's a marketing ploy of theirs: do not provide accurate pricing information in order to ensure the rooms are occupied? In a nutshell, our experience can be summed up this way: the toilets wouldn't flush and bath tubs wouldn't drain for two days. The discouraging thing is I notified the cleaning lady AND maintenance workers of the issue early on Friday morning (before 8am) and nothing was done throughout the entire day to address it; the next morning the entire park's plumbing was clogged. A little proactive preventive maintenance could have ensured that everyone was able to #2 and/or shower. (Ever go to the lake for an extended period and not shower? The smells compile rather quickly. Additionally, the smell of the rooms after an entire day of non-flushing didn't make for a pleasant sleeping experience.) Although the front office was aware of the issues in the rooms, no amount of reimbursement was offered at all. I wouldn't have expected free rooms, but adequate customer service considering the circumstances would have been refreshing. We've been going there for about 10 years and we realize it isn't the Ritz Carlton, but at least have toilets that flush and drains that allow showers to be taken. I heard while there that it's under new management, so it would appear that the new ownership is just interested my money without doing anything to ensure for a positive experience; not exactly the best of business models though. Last week I stayed at this "resort park" with a friend and after staying here over night, we came to the realization that there were bugs in her bed. We sent proof via video to the owner and manager and receptionist and they tried to claim that the sheets in the video were not theirs because they use "different linens". The video we had was time stamped and dated yet they still claim it's not theirs. There was no way we could have gone to a different hotel to film this video and get back to this middle of nowhere resort within that short amount of time we took to shower and pack our bags. We offered to walk back to the room with the receptionist/front desk worker Arcie to show him and instead he said "no thanks, but do you think if I went back later they'd still be there?". That right there shows that he most likely knew the bugs were there and wanted to give it some time for them to hopefully crawl out the bed and move elsewhere. There was no real explanation as to why they wouldn't refund her for the entirety of her stay considering that there were BUGS!!! The owner simply answered the phone and refused to give a refund. This business should not be allowed to be around if that's how the management team handles an incident of this nature. I'd recommend saving your money and taking it elsewhere to a team that actually cares & would do anything to show their deepest apologies. read more

I thought the cabin was cute and outside courtyard is very quaint, great for walking the dog and getting to know your neighbor-campers. The hostess was very nice and helpful, as we had never been to Roosevelt lake before. But the cabin was not cleaned very well, as to when we were just checking into it we spilt some water and the towel came up with a huge amount of dirt on it. The shower was too small and the toilet paper was horrible. The towels were not that clean, either. This all I could of probably been able to handle but when I saw a couple roaches, it started becoming hard to handle. But we weren't there for the cabin, we were there for the lake, so we spent most of our time elsewhere. And I just made sure that I washed all our clothes the minute we got home, and leaving everything outside until I had time to deal with it. read more

First and foremost I have to thank April, who was a complete SAINT to my husband and I on one of the worst days we have ever had. Where to begin... This is going to be long, but stick with me... I made reservations for a Friday and Saturday at the motel as my Husband and I planned to take our boat to Roosevelt. It would be his first time ever at the lake, and we couldn't wait to "break open" the 2021 boating season. We arrived at Roosevelt Lake, and spent the day on the water in our 1970 Glastron boat. Around 4:30 we were under the large arch bridge by the dam, when my husband noticed water flooding into the back of the boat. Thankfully he was able to floor it and get us to a shoreline. Our boat ultimately ended up full of water, however tied to the shoreline. The engine had snapped from the transom, we were lucky to have made it to shore before it sinking to the bottom. We had to call 911 for rescue. It was AWFUL. We called and cancelled our reservations at the motel, as we figured we would head home. The gentleman I spoke to was so helpful, and the manager on duty was super sympathetic to our case. They actually allowed us to cancel both nights free of charge, and expressed their sympathies to us for our situation. However as the rescue took so long we then realized we would have to stay the night, and attempt to get the boat the following day. At this point (8:30) we realized we were stranded with nowhere to go. We decided on taking a chance and swinging by the motel to see if there was any way to get a room. We pulled in to a full lot, and figured we were sh*t out of luck. My husband rolled down the window and asked two gentleman standing in front of the restaurant/bar where the office was. They advised us it was inside and at that exact moment April happened to be coming outside. She asked us what we needed and my husband proceeded to explain our predicament. I cannot express how absolutely HELPFUL and wonderful she was. As their website states the latest check in is 7, the fact that April went above and beyond, calling her manager to see what they could do for us, was seriously a godsend to us after such a disastrous day. She was able to find a room for us, gave us a discount at the bar (we all know we NEEDED a few drinks at this point) and expressed her sincere condolences to us for the day we had. I was on the verge of tears at her generosity. Everyone we encountered that evening was pleasant, funny, and overall exuded superior customer service. The room was very nice, clean, and we had a view of the pond. We were in #1 of the motel. We didn't get to fully experience and enjoy the motel as we wished we could have, due to the urgency of our situation however from what we saw, it is well kept, the grounds are beautiful and all the buildings seem to be well maintained. We did eat at the restaurant the night of arrival, and everything we had was great. My husband got the Patti Melt and I got the Roosevelt Burger. I have to say the fries were some of the best we have EVER HAD. In conclusion, based on the helpfulness, cleanliness, quaintness and location we will 100% be back (once we buy a new boat that is!) ;) HUGE SHOUT OUT TO APRIL ONCE AGAIN!! Thank you SO much for your kindness, I will forever be grateful to you and the rest of the staff for the help. You are the epitome of what excellent customer service is all about. read more

This was a great location. Friendly staff. Clean cabins. Loved the pond and geese. The only reasons for 4 star and not 5 star was because the restaurant and bar needs to run a little smoother. Nice place to be after a day of ATVing. The management was great & when I need a spur of the moment late check in, they made it happen! The on-site restaurant was great for breakfast! Didn't get a chance to try dinner. Room was clean! Beds were comfortable. The only downside was the shower. Pretty rough & only had warm water, sink put out hot water. My friends in the next room had hot water in their shower. We'll be back in the summer with our boat! read more

We were in a renovated room and it was very clean and nice, included a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The girl at the desk was helpful and pleasant and when the wifi didn't work, the handyman fixed it for us. Beds were comfortable. The pond in the back was full and beautiful, with ducks and the sound of birds everywhere. We would definitely stay there again! read more

If you are looking for a RV Resort, this is not it. They only had 3 spots available for our 32' motorhome and none of those spots were very good. It appeared to us that most people with an RV were there on a full-time basis. Lots of barking dogs and noise. It also appeared to be a place where you would bring your ATV or boat, lake is several miles away. People were very nice though - restaurant looked clean, although we did not eat there. Bathrooms needed work, they were under construction. Motel was on premises also along with a few cabins. The reason I'm giving the place only 2 stars as it isn't a place to take your RV for a peaceful retreat. We had reservations for 3 nights but left after 2. My advice to the owners would be, clean it up! If you want people to come with an RV, clean up that back lot, make it level and get rid of the barking dogs. read more

We rented the home on the pond, and it comes highly recommended! Perfect spot for a super bowl party! The Bar and grill is open and has excellent food. The one room suite with kitchenette are sweet! I've staying here on and off for 30 years and first I stayed in one of these. Made the trip!!

Rented 2 rooms. First had no heater (46 degrees) flimsy bedspreads with no blankets. Second room had a noisy wall heater and same bedding. Bathroom shower had no hot water pressure but plenty of cold. Sink had plenty of hot but no cold. Toilet had so little pressure it took 30-40 minutes to refill tank after a flush. We reserved online and received a confirmation. Two days before our trip we called to inquire about check in time (3-5pm only) and learned they had never heard of us! This is a dump! Buy a tent and enjoy you stay at the campground, only $50 bucks a night for no amenities! read more

I wouldn't recommend this place. Period. TV didn't work, sewage backed up into the toilet and couldn't be used. The heater was pretty much non existant. It isn't on or near the Lake about a 10 minute drive. FYI the rooms don't have phones or clocks. I will say everyone was nice but nothing was fixed or done about the situation. read more

Lake Roosevelt is a rustic place.. it is a very beautiful spot with great boating/ fishing and natural beauty largely unspoiled. this resort is "rustic.". we stayed in a 3 BR house.. which was a double wide trailer, very clean and very spacious. and a nice patio overlooking a small pond with geese. The meal at the resort was fair at best but there are other good local homefood type restaurants around and we had a very good meal in one of them on the Tonto end of the lake. .. and the kitchenette in the house while sparsely equipped was ample. No easily accessible grill but plenty of space to grill if you bring a portable. read more
