The room has great views and lots of windows that let in plenty of natural light that make lounging inside enjoyable. We ordered room service and had a fun time drinking and eating surrounded by the beautiful artwork of Mr. Van Gogh. The soaking tub was nice and the bed is very comfortable but, like most of the other reviews say, the cars revving up and down the main drag all night are very noisy. The hotel leaves ear plugs on the bed but since we were in town for leisure, we didn't really use them.

The decor in the lobby was nice, and there were games to play. The hotel is in a decent location. I was able to walk to restaurants and a grocery store.

Services like nails etc was also available. This hotel was new, clean and tidy and the desk staff was always available, attentive and helpful! There are some snacks and things for sale, like bottles of water for sale at the front desk.

I…read moremean, Cleveland isn't America's vacation destination, yet they have a Ritz-Carlton while Puerto Rico doesn't. Next, we arrived at the Tower City Center. I had no idea where it was located, and neither did the shop workers. Also, most of Tower City Center was either closed or vacant. I finally called using CapCall, but the connection kept dropping; after walking around, I found it was on the 3rd floor. It's secure, with room card access to the entrance and elevators, which is pretty standard for Ritz-Carlton and St Regis, and given Cleveland's huge homeless population in the downtown area, this is a necessity. Regarding the staff, they were very friendly and helpful.

While it carries the Ritz-Carlton name, the overall experience does not consistently meet that standard. During my most recent stay, I again attempted to use mobile check-in. As with prior visits, it did not work, and I ultimately had to check in at the front desk. Staff attributed this to an "app glitch," which is the same explanation I have received multiple times. At this point, it appears to be a recurring issue rather than an isolated one. Check-in itself was slow, with multiple guests waiting, and the staff was not particularly welcoming or attentive. The layout does not help the situation. The fireplace is positioned near the check-in line, which may have been intended to enhance the atmosphere, but in practice it makes an already crowded and uncomfortable waiting area worse. After checking in, I asked for contact information for the front desk manager. No business cards were available, and staff could not provide direct contact details. One employee later identified themselves as a front desk manager and offered assistance, but given the experience up to that point, it did little to instill confidence. The room was acceptable but unremarkable. It was slightly better than what you might find at a lower-tier brand like a Fairfield Inn, but it did not reflect a luxury standard. The mattress had a noticeable dip in the middle, suggesting it is due for replacement. There are a couple of positives. The location is excellent, right in the center of downtown Cleveland with direct access to the Terminal Tower complex. In addition, the fitness center is genuinely top-notch and one of the stronger features of the property. That said, I have stayed at other Ritz-Carlton properties, and this one does not compare favorably. The pricing and brand set a high expectation, and this property does not consistently deliver an experience that justifies either.

Cleveland was our final destination, and we were looking forward to visiting the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and trying some local restaurants. While driving into Cleveland, I booked a room and we arrived around 7 p.m. We unloaded our luggage and used the valet service. The hotel itself is very nice, and the staff at check-in were friendly and thanked us for being Titanium Elite members. As I do at most Marriott properties, I asked if there were any complimentary room upgrades available. Unfortunately, the answer was no. What made this particularly frustrating is that throughout our entire trip from May 10 through June 1, we did not receive a single upgrade at any Marriott property despite our Titanium Elite status. We were told that the hotel was upgrading its systems and that any available upgrades would have to be purchased rather than provided as a complimentary elite benefit. We even contacted Marriott Titanium Elite customer service at one of the other marriotts we stayed at. The first representative was helpful and opened a case for us, but when a manager got involved, the experience went downhill. I tried to give him the case number he say I don't know why she did that there is no case. We were told that upgrades are not guaranteed, which we understand, but the conversation became unpleasant and ended he hung up on me. After checking in, I asked if there was a freezer in the room because I travel with medication that requires an ice pack. I was told there was no freezer in the room, but that the hotel could place my ice pack in a freezer overnight. The next morning, when I checked out and requested my ice pack, the front desk could not find it at first. After I described it again, they eventually located it. Unfortunately, it was not frozen. The employee the night before had placed it in a refrigerator instead of a freezer. As a result, we had to make additional stops during our eight-hour drive home to keep medication properly cooled. While the staff apologized, that did not solve the problem or undo the inconvenience. For medication-related items, accuracy is important, and this was very disappointing. We did receive complimentary breakfast instead of points. My wife ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a pastry, while I chose the Eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing. The potato cakes on both plates tasted like pre-made products that had been sitting for a while. The bacon was overly hard, and the English muffin on my Eggs Benedict was not toasted even after I specifically requested it. Overall, the hotel is attractive and well-located, and the staff we encountered in person were friendly. However, the lack of elite recognition throughout our trip, the mishandling of a medication-related request, and the disappointing breakfast left us feeling underwhelmed compared to what we have come to expect from Marriott.

We asked for a 12 pm check out but they simply would not accommodate any request. it's not busy at all. Oh well.

You can stay in here with advance reservations and be right next-door to Ralphies house from the fabulous movie, a Christmas story. there are sure to be barking dogs inside, but I'm sure they're not real. What a fabulous place to stay if you are in Cleveland and a super fan of the movie. The area around it has the Christmas story house, the Christmas story museum, and the Christmas story gift shop which I think was my favorite part of this trip. If you are in town, don't forget to stay in the Bumpus house.
