I didn't stay here so my review is not exactly one to use as judgment. I stopped by for a visit and was pretty impressed by the overall quality of this hostel. Everything was new and in good condition, the staff was friendly, and the location was prime. If I am in Cleveland in the future and need a place to stay this will be on the top of my list. Great view from the roof.

Thought this place was really great, $80 for two Queen beds, room doesn't have TV but wifi worked well for a good portion of the night. Wifi did get a little shaky after Midnight. The whole place was very clean including the bathrooms. Great Stay, will stay here again.

Their refund policy is ridiculous! I just reserved for months from now and had to cancel. They would not refund the deposit.

According to the front desk, who are trying their best, upper management declined to offer any refund let alone some amount of discount for their failures, I was forced to cut the stay short and cancel due to a knowingly broken bed, the staff at the hotel repeatedly changing their story as to being able to fix the bed or magically having a bed frame on site and available to replace it with, and with the hotel having nothing available in the same category and above without hours and hours of back and forth and pleading for them to do anything.

The Aloft Cleveland Beachwood was clean, the staff was friendly, and while it wasn't the Chicago Aloft, I would definitely return to this location. Upon arrival, I checked in and was placed on the second floor, where I found my room with ease. I then decided to head downstairs around 9:20pm to sit by the pool (as I was told the pool was open until 10 & the gym is 24 hr), but when I tried the doors to the gym and pool area, they seemed to be locked. I sat in the courtyard instead and browsed online for some dinner (see Agave & Rye). I wasn't super impressed with the decor of the room, it felt very much like an 8 year old's superhero bedroom, but I can't deny that the hotel as a whole felt very clean and I appreciated that I had a mini fridge in the room. It seems mini fridges are becoming less and less common in hotels, so I'm always relieved when one is provided. I was only in town for one night, and while I was disappointed that I didn't get to use the pool or the gym due to the doors being locked, I was happy to have a clean room and a comfy bed to sleep in. *I loved the pool table and hot cocoa bar in the lobby! I think it's so important that hotels provide guests with a space to socialize and engage with one another.

One thing I've learned from years of traveling for work: when you stay at an Embassy Suites, the…read morecomplimentary breakfast is usually the highlight of the morning. After a quick overnight stay during a recent business trip to Cleveland, our team made our way down just before breakfast wrapped up. Service runs from 6:30-9:30 AM, and we slid in at about 9:15 AM, right as things were winding down. Only one other guest was finishing up, so the breakfast rush had clearly passed. The star of the show here is always the made-to-order omelet station. I went with a veggie omelet and added diced ham, and it turned out exactly how you want an omelet to be--fresh, fluffy, and cooked perfectly. The hot bar still had a few options available. I skipped the bacon and sausage this time but grabbed some breakfast potatoes. Unfortunately, arriving near the end of service meant they had cooled down a bit. I also grabbed an English muffin and ran it through the toaster twice to get it just right. Mission accomplished--crispy on the outside and warm inside. The fruit selection was simple--mostly cantaloupe and honeydew--but still a nice lighter option to round out breakfast. The only real drawback during our stay was that the air conditioning in our room wasn't functioning properly, which made the room a little uncomfortable overnight. Still, if you've stayed at Embassy Suites before, you know the breakfast alone is a solid perk, and the omelet station continues to be the highlight. Tip: If you want the hottest food options, arrive earlier in the breakfast window.

I recently stayed here for a few nights. I unfortunately did not have a choice when booking this…read morehotel since this was decided by my company that I'd be staying here and I saw all the reviews prior so I was a little hesitant about staying here a few nights. What I can't say about the positives is that this place is really huge and it looks aesthetically pleasing inside like you're inside of a cool hotel stuck in the 1980s. The rooms are also huge too compared to most hotel rooms I've been at. Bigger than most 1 bedroom apartments. The breakfast here is free and a offer a lot of great stuff such as : bacon, French toast, scrambled eggs, there's a chef on site. The cons of this hotel are mainly the furniture in the rooms. They're old and outdated! Some of the furnishings don't exist like missing blinds in my room. There's a random chair in the living room upon entering my room. There was a leak from the ceiling in the area where people have breakfast at. Half of the doors to enter the building do not work. Half of these rooms are actually abandoned and they have taped up Windows so it feels like you're at some sketchy Red Roof Inn. Broken elevator. Again with the strange Hotel Choice I thought it was weird that they have actual mulch on the ground floor and it's basically being bordered by carpet next to it. Another thing I thought I was weird was seeing all these big lights in the main lobby as if you're like a guardsman watching prisoners from above. Even the pool is taped off too and shielded from view. Overall, this is not the worst hotel i've stayed at but it could have been better. Especially after seeing how much they were charging for a night here as well you should be getting more for your money's worth truthfully.

Accusing me of smoking or using a candle in the room. Hotel cannot remove charges, pointed to a useless customer service line. The owner of the hotel is a company called Highgate, and a representative from there let me know that hair-dryers CAN AND HAVE PREVIOUSLY set off smoking sensors. Highgate is working on reversing the charge. The hotel is quick to charge and falsely accuse you, but don't know how to get the charges reversed apparently. My advice - dry your hair in the car with the windows down? Or stay somewhere else if you intend on using the room for regular human activities
