Great place to stay in Cleveland. We rented the whole house. Highly enjoyed our stay. Would do it again.

Bed was lumpy and I felt like I was sinking into it. I'm a small person but the towels were tiny - barely enough to wrap around my head after washing my hair. The complimentary breakfasts and dinners are ample. They also provide sodas at this location until 9:00 pm and coffee and tea all day, a very nice touch. I have a huge complaint though, I could not adjust the air conditioning in my room--both the downtown and this location I could not make the room warmer. It was freezing. I turned the AC off and it took four days to warm up. Even the hallways are incredibly cold. I'm not the only one who noticed this. (I tried to get assistance from the front desk to no avail.) I opted for no housekeeping (to conserve) except for towels. My towels never dry in a hotel room so I need fresh ones every day. I did not get my towels one night, but was able to some from the front desk. Also, the water pressure in the sink is pretty poor. Like many hotels these days, they provide rain showerheads. I don't like them because it's very hard to get all the shampoo out of my hair; also because the water pressure is not strong rain showerheads make it worse. I also have a pet peeve with all hotels, your Kleenex and toilet paper are just dreadful. I don't understand it. You might as well not provide the Kleenex. The HVAC system issue is bad enough that it may prevent me from going back to this chain.

The building is well preserved, very classy both inside and outside, with a nice garden area (with string lights) that wasn't open (yet?). Alright room (could probably use some upkeep and update). Good bed. However, we were unlucky to face a street with early morning trash trucks and (even worse) road work starting at 6 am! On the day of checking out, we just needed a little bit more time. We asked for a 12 pm check out but they simply would not accommodate any request. it's not busy at all. Oh well.

Now it is dusty and musty: the shine is no more here. The wallpaper in my suite was coming loose, pink grime and dust on the bathroom grout and corners, unpleasant odor from the toilet plumbing, and unappealing breakfast! The TV remote and channels were from decades past. The lukewarm scrambled egg made from powder, heated frozen sausage patties and potatoes not quite warm enough, and some unappealing muffins and doughnut-looking baked goods...I didn't stop to inspect further. Old is okay but unclean is not. Simple food is okay but poor quality food at improper temperature is not. A single fresh fruit is better than a mush blend of dissolving fruit. I thought I was treating myself by booking here.... Can you go buy some real food for tomorrow's breakfast? Please? Pros: Friendly staff, quick service, nice desk and lamps, comfortable furniture and plenty of space in the suite.

The rooms were clean, which is always one of my top priorities, and the customer service was excellent. A special shout-out to Lisa, who works the evening shift. She took the time to answer all my questions and never made me feel like I was bothering her. When the weather changed and all flights were canceled, I ended up having to stay an extra night. Lisa was just as friendly and helpful the second evening as she was the first.

Perfectly acceptable rest stop…read more As a hotel, it checks all the boxes one looks for in a location. Clean rooms, slightly warm indoor pool, basic breakfast, and a standard lobby with friendly staff. Rooms have a standard amount of wear. Some of the bathroom fixtures were showing signs of damage, corners have dings, ceilings have bald spots and patches, nothing is dirty but everything just has those signs of use. None of it is offensive. with these styles of hotels having the same rough layout, it highlights the minor cosmetic flaws. Beds were firm, pillows were somewhat flimsy, and delivery services refused to go inside to drop off food. But the front end staff were very friendly and hospitable. All in all, it's effective as a close-by airport hotel. Nothing flashy, but affordable and functional. Go in with minimal expectations and you will find just enough to be satisfied.

I was pleasantly surprised. The room was cute. It was decent size, but the vents were dusty and there was a hair in my bed. I requested a complete refund for the shorted to one night stay I had at the Kimpton Schofield. According to the front desk, who are trying their best, upper management declined to offer any refund let alone some amount of discount for their failures, I was forced to cut the stay short and cancel due to a knowingly broken bed, the staff at the hotel repeatedly changing their story as to being able to fix the bed or magically having a bed frame on site and available to replace it with, and with the hotel having nothing available in the same category and above without hours and hours of back and forth and pleading for them to do anything.
