I also wanted a second set of eyes to check all my work and inspect everything once in a while, so I dropped my bike off at Fairfax Cycles. The main service I requested was to replace the front fork and exchange the fork and brake oils. I bought the Ohlins fork from Partszilla and dropped it off at the shop. I was missing some other small parts needed, and they were able to order it for me. I had a budget I wanted to stick to, and they were able to work with me to meet my budget and the services I needed. They were very flexible. For the amount of work done on my bike, I'd say the price was fair. The place is very busy all year round, though. Please set your expectations. You'll likely have to wait to get serviced. You'll also need to pick up ASAP. I felt good about all the services performed on the bike. The installed Ohlins fork makes the bike so much better. Will I come back, a definite yes.

I was a bit intimidated to walk in as I dont look like a stereotypical motorcyclist but the gentlemen was super friendly and fast with helping me. I brought in a broken clutch lever that I didnt have the right tools to fix it myself. He was super quick to fix it for me and didnt even charge me for the quick fix! For such a small shop, they have a nice representative selection of bikes. I drooled over their 2012 Heritage Softail Classic in Candy Orange/Beer Bottle colors, and their 2012 SuperGlide special edition. The staff here is friendly and outgoing. I'm sure the store had been open hours prior to my arrival 2pm. When I pulled up the owner came outside and placed 5 cones on the side walk that with signage that said Harley Davison parking only. Wow, 2021 and you don't think a black female can shop here! Not once did they ask if they can assist , a customer in the store heard my conversation and said what are you looking for? Then proceed to say, no they don't have a good selection here. I'm still in awe that you wait until after 2 pm to place those signs outside upon my arrival. No way I would patronage such ignorance. If I could give a half star I would. God bless them! I wish I would have taken a video of the event I'm sure there would be disbelief. Just like the movie American skin!

Small, tucked in a corner, hard to find, outdated website, not a lot of products or showroom space... yet, some of the best service and customer service ever. These guys are all motorcycle mechanics, and they're all easy to talk too. It's the kind of shop where if they make a mistake they'd be the first to tell you and make things right. Totally comfortable taking any motorcycle here. There were no issues with the tire change; they even cleaned the rims and lubed the chain no charge. Attention to detail was top notch, and the prices. The prices were fair and reasonable but honestly for this level of service you'd be willing to pay more because this is quality all the way around. Clear communication from start to finish.

I sent an inquiry via email and waited days without a response. I finally had to send a text inquiry to get a response. After being given a quote, I inquired if Twiggs still offered a military discount. I was then told because I am deployed overseas with the government, I cannot purchase a bike. No effort to work something out or offer suggestions on how to make it work. Just a flat no I can't purchase if "I" can't come by in person to handle the paperwork. Since I am deployed overseas I planned to pay cash and the government would come by, pick up the bike, and ship to my location. However since Twiggs has decided not to sell me a bike, I will take my money elsewhere. I will stop recommending Twiggs to everyone. Clearly they don't need my business.
