When it comes to medical care, I value skill over all other factors. Dr. Aminlari is the best technical Endodontist I have ever encountered. He ensures that the area on which he needs to work is completely numb before doing any work. And when he works, he does so quickly and efficiently. In addition to surgical skill, it's nice to have a good beside manner and Dr. Aminlari has that as well. He and his support team are relaxed and friendly, creating a positive environment for what most people consider a traumatic experience. During a procedure, they regularly check to make sure you're OK and make adjustments as necessary. Obviously, no-one wants to have extensive dental work done but when it's necessary, you want to have it done by the best doctor you can find and Dr. Aminlari is definitely at the top of his field.

Dr. Aminlari/A2 endodontics was able to get me in within one week for a "questionable" tooth that was only intermittently hurting. They were able to provide me a price range over the phone when I scheduled, and on the day of the appointment the office staff and technician were very personable, open and friendly. I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room, and this was only because I had arrived a bit early. I have an unfortunate anatomy/physiology such that it is difficult to get adequately numbed- it takes a lot of shots and extra time to block pain signals. Dr. Aminlari was committed to making sure I was as comfortable, and was not at all judgmental or rushed like most other dentists that I have seen. He was not concerned about the time it took; while it required some trial an error to see if the local was adequate, he was very responsive to my indications of pain and immediately stopped to administer more when needed. The actual root canal procedure was very quick (especially compared to others I have had). He was also very patient with all of my nosey curious questions about tooth anatomy, and which intrument does what, haha. It was a chunk of money for me to be sure- but an imminently fair and reasonable price, in my opinion, given the years of education, training, costs associated with running a business, employing staff, etc. Also, I have paid a lot more at other dental specialists for inexcusably poor service/outcome, so I am more than happy to pay someone who does a great job and is also kind. Who wants a root canal? Literally no one. Did it hurt a little at times? Yes, but they did everything in their power to minimize this; they were super nice and responsive and I felt safe there. They got me out the door in just over an hour. They even called the next day to check on how I was doing, which is rare these days. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing a root canal, no worries this is the place.

I would go elsewhere or get a second opinion before complying with their recommendations. Also, beware of their billing practices. Charged me twice, even though they told me I wouldn't be billed because it was the same tooth. Had to argue and fight to get refunded...

Although their services are a bit pricey, he's worth every penny. I have pretty bad dental anxiety and a long history of dental pain. I find him to be honest, also, and if he thinks you do not need a root canal, he will certainly tell you. I have left his office on more than one occasion after he told me a root canal was not indicated. His bedside manner is the best. I tell all my family and friends about him. If you have dental anxiety and are especially afraid of root canals, see Dr. Robinson. Once you have one done by him - you will never go elsewhere - guaranteed. He is excellent at what he does. I have also found their staff to be very friendly and professional, and they remember you by name. They do their best to get you in for emergencies, also. She believed in regular cleaning over "deep cleaning," stating that dentists recommending deep cleaning have been to too many seminars! On cleaning, Mary Jo did this herself, old school, by hand, rather than using an ultrasonic device, or having a dental hygienist do it. Mary Jo was like your best friend, working to guide you through a gentle dental relationship, while minimizing your anxiety over the whole process. Unfortunately for all of her patients, she retired in 2024. We lost an orchid of the dental world, whose presence graced her office with calm and concern. We miss you Doctor Sandberg, but thank you for showing us the standard which other dentists would do well to model.

With that said, I have been going to see Dr. Heys for 5 years now and am very happy with my dentist. The location is perfect on E. Stadium in a cute house-looking office. There is free on-site parking. You are immediately greeted with very friendly staff. The office is warm, inviting, and comfortable. I always see the same hygenist, which has never happened before in any other offices. It's refreshing to see the same person twice a year who is able to remember you. There are 3 Dr. Heys' here. All of them are wonderful and very friendly. They do have evening appointments available on Mondays and Tuesdays. Dr. Heys is no longer part of the network with my new insurance (Cigna), but I will pay out of pocket to keep going there. Trust me. When you find a good group of dentists, you'll do the same.
