Stopped in a little afternoon on a Sunday and while the place was busy everything came out quickly and perfect. Lots of seating options and we opted for the comfy little couch and chair in the back corner, which was great to just have coffee, a quick sandwich, and chat. There were several holiday specialty flavors to choose from and I went with the gingerbread spiced chai latte, and it was really good. My friend got the Good Tidings (think all the Thanksgiving flavors in one sandwich) special and I had serious jealousy over her food because I just got a simple breakfast sandwich and made the mistake of opting for sourdough instead of the amazing ciabatta it was supposed to come on. Everyone working there was so chill, the place was clean and bright, and super cute. Couple really cool things about this place: Christmas spirit & hospitality. There was they were doing a Christmas card drive for seniors in memory care/assisted living and had an assortment of blank cards and a pen for you to fill out while you drink your coffee and leave right there for them to deliver. I arrived right at opening to order two easy drinks and two bowls. I waited 45 minutes to get served my food. This is not the first time I've had this happen and figured I would give them another try. Previously I arrived during a not so busy time and waited 20 minutes at the register while I was ignored by all the workers there. I searched for a local cafe and found nothing else in the surrounding region. This one, while embedded in a suburban mall, had a welcoming atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating and a drive-through window. The menu was broad and local, housing seasonal specials. I sampled a strawberry matcha, which looked splendid but perhaps merited more mixing than I gave it, as I got a brief matcha hit and then a lot of strong strawberry flavor. My avocado toast came with sprouts, seeds, and quite a lot of avocado. The only things I really had against them were that it was on the pricey side and while I assume there was a wifi password, I couldn't immediately find it. But I must concede that given the skyrocketing price of avocados, I would have spent a lot of money making that toast at home, and for ambiance, service, and menu choices, the place delivered exactly what I wanted. read more

Food is great, the line is the worst part at the Riverwood location, why are there 2 drive up spots to wait for your food, that aren't ever being used when the line is 5cars long? The person at the window allows cars to sit and waiting on their order instead of having them to goto a spot and wait so they can get the orders in. I sat in line for 20 minutes with one car in front of me and the drive up spots completely empty. read more

The service was phenomenal! Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. The man making our iced coffees was very nice and ensured we loved our drinks! Rooted Coffeehouse is a gem in Evans, and I love supporting small businesses. The inside interior is so cute and homey. I love all of the sandwich options. My favorite drinks include caramel vanilla shaken expresso and the salted caramel cold brew. It has a drive-thru and mobile pick-up. They have two spots for drive-thru orders, but I suggest combining the spots for mobile pick-up orders and drive-thru instead. read more

Rooted is a delightful coffeehouse in the Riverwood area. The coffee is really smooth and they have something for everyone's tastes and they have seasonal offerings. The food is also really good! If you haven't tried a blueberry lemon muffin yet...run, don't walk because those babies are scrumptious! The sandwiches are also a nice option. The inside of the café is very pleasant and airy - clean and modern with really pretty touches from the owners. The staff is very friendly and willingly answers any questions. Since my first few visits here, I've always still come back to try new things. I love their specials and they are all consistently good. The service is always nice, polite and pretty fast. They've changed things up on the inside in the last year or two and it still looks great in there. I love all the plants they have around and they're also for sale. The baked goods section typically has something that looks tempting - cookies, scones or muffins. We got a pecan praline iced breve and a creme brûlée latte off the winter drink menu. I drove 30 min for this coffee shop, mainly to get out of town and have a good study session. I was very excited to come here but....I was slightly disappointed. The costumer service was just not very welcoming. There wasn't a line behind me or anything but I felt very rushed to choose my drink and pay. I hurriedly chose the vanilla lavender latte (hot) and of course, I forgot to use my check in discount in the rush. They initially messed up my order by getting me an iced drink but thankfully remade it when I corrected them. The coffee itself was good. I am not someone who likes lavender and this drink was still good. The lavender flavor was just right. I was also disappointed that I didn't get the coffee in a proper mug (I got it in a togo cup) as I was looking forward to their beautiful designs that I saw in the Yelp pictures. It's been a long while since we've been here. Our dog's vet is right around the corner and so we decided to swing by. We've been sticking to drive thru because of the amount of people who don't wear masks and stores not enforcing them. I went ahead with ole faithful, a hot vanilla bean breve. I was really disappointed. It doesn't taste the same as before, and my husband said the same thing. Have y'all changed the syrup recipe? Are you using a new half and half? Something tasted off. The second time we swung by after the vet, I went with a hot caramel latte, and that was much better. It's actually really pleasant and it might become my regular whenever we're in the area. Their drive thru is still wonky. You don't order at the menu board, but at the window. It makes for a very long wait. One time we came by and there was quite a long line but someone came out to take orders on a clipboard which was nice. The staff is really friendly, especially with Covid going on. This is a bright and cheerful coffee shop with a great selection of drinks, pastries, and food items. It seems to be a popular location with quite a crowd especially on a Sunday. I appreciated how clean the bathrooms were with an unexpected surprise of diapers and menstrual products available in the bathroom. There were outlets available to charge electronics along the side of the seating area. There is a variety of seating options from a bar at the front window, high table, bench, family-sized table, and cozy meeting space in the corner. BEWARE. I came here after shopping and order some haute donuts and coffee. Unbeknownst to me, I was charge an 8 dollar tip that was not written in. This is stealing and is not okay. This is my second visit here! For my first visit, don't really remember what drink I ordered, but my hubby had the cold foam iced americano and it was refreshing. I remember I took a mental note to order that next time. I also ordered the balsamic avo toast. Nothing too special, like any other avocado toast. I do wish they combined the classic with the balsamic - I like having the microgreens on my toast. My second visit I went with friends. I ordered the caprese breakfast sandwich which was amazing! I added the salami and it was soo good. The mozzarella was perfectly stretchy. My friend ordered the bluebs + cheese, a delightfully sweet toast! Not sure if I could've eaten the whole thing given the sweetness, but the few bites I had was delightful. I love trying signature drinks and specials, so I ordered the snickerdoodle iced americano on their fall special menu. This drink is perfect! Loved the foam and the syrup flavor. The atmosphere is great, offering indoor and outdoor seating options to meet up with a friend or get work done by yourself. They offer new seasonal menu options each quarter and they are always incredible. The iced white mocha, açaí berry smoothie, and the turkey and Brie sandwich are some of my non-seasonal favorites, but the Caramel Brownie Batter Iced Americano is my current favorite (Summer 2022 menu). Rooted is so hit or miss! Sometimes it's delicious and sometimes it's lacking. Sometimes workers are incredibly friendly and sometimes they are super rude. Donuts from haute donuts are to die for so always snag one when it's in the case. Pitaya Bowls are great and love that they have games for kids to play. I walked into this place after looking at an online menu. I'm an active gym head so it was perfect for me. At least that's what I thought. Customer Service was ok. Not the best. This was my first time here. Two concerns I have is, I wasn't greeted when I walked in. I ordered an oatmeal that was suggested by the cashier and it looked like it was made upside down. I asked for it togo. Usually I'd get food in a bag when I request Togo. . I was handed the oatmeal in a cardboard soup cup and the syrup from the oatmeal was dripping from the container. Didn't know the culture here so I thought that's how they prepared togo orders . It spilled in the interior of my truck. The packaging wasn't to pleasing either. The fruit was place at the bottom and oatmeal was poured on top. I expected better than that after spending $15+ tip. The tip was for explaining a food selection to me. The issue I had here has nothing to do with the place. As I was exiting to my truck. I have a huge truck and the parking spaces here were small by the way. So I had to park in the next parking lot parallel to this business parking lot. I followed the path of the side walk which lead me in-between two parked vans. As I was passing these vehicles I overheard the van on the left doors locked. I looked back and shook my headed. I felt though as if I were being labeled as a thief and noone knew me there. All black people don't steal and if you ask me the biggest thieves in this country are the ones who stole this land from the Native Americans, stole ppl from Africa, and even stole votes to when 2016 Presidential Election. So this person locking their door as I pass by his/her van stereotyped the wrong person. This place is located in a predominantly white neighborhood, so when I walked in I was the only ethnic person there. I was getting stares as if I were an exotic animal that just escape from a zoo. This is always a very uncomfortable feeling. I just ordered my food togo and left. Not a really good first impression for me. read more

This is a nice place to stop by and have some coffee with a friend or by yourself. There is seating both outside and inside. The inside seating was different throughout which was really cool. I loved how it was set up and decorated. The atmosphere was very welcoming and at the same time calming with all the neutral colors. It was quiet and not too busy when we went. We asked a few questions and the employees were very nice and helpful. They had there menu available in several formats. It was displayed where you order like most places, but they also had printed menus that we could sit down and look at and a QR code scanning option to their menu. They have a few books and games stacked up near the front. And even some cute items outside of food for sell. I could tell everything about this place was very thought out to cater to a wide range of people. The coffee tasted great and my kids enjoyed their cake pops. read more

I've been a couple times with my best friend, and I have been pleased every time! The price is about right for the fact that they make everything to-order, and it is very good quality. The coffee is the selling point for me! As-is, it is a tad bitter, but the sweetness of the syrups and added whipped cream on top makes it perfectly balanced, even though I typically like sweeter coffees! If it wasn't so out-of-the-way for me, I would prefer Rooted over ANY other coffee place around! As far as the food goes, they are not very broad for picky eaters, it is both more upscale in ingredients and pricing. I loved every food item I've ordered, but I definitely have to say that some of the nicer looking aspects of the food are a bit unnecessary, to me. I.e., the sprouts on my salmon bagel were a lovely touch, and they did add a nice little green taste to the overall bagel, but for the trouble of them getting stuck in my teeth or being more for show just bums me out. read more
