He proceeded to "cable" the line to the cesspool, opened up the cesspool access and called a company to clean out the cesspool and "cabled" from the outlet to city main. Indicated roots in line. Suggested I have 2 clean outs installed. 4 weeks later my sewer lines were inspected by the city showing TP and many roots in the line that needed to be cleaned out. I called Reliable again to find out why these were not done April 1 and was told he only "opened up" the line to allow for the immediate water issue to be resolved. I paid $600. for this and additional for the cesspool cleaning. On April 30th I had to call another company to actually clear out the lines which was $375. On a conversation with Reliable - husband and wife - I was yelled at multiples times by both parties and asked by both if I had the clean outs done. I stated that I had not because other professionals informed me it was not needed. What I did need was my lines cleared out completely and properly. Clean outs would be for the benefit of the plumber, not me. I found this company rude and disrespectful and charged me for a job that was very temporary. I paid less to have the job done correctly. This is my story and my opinion. I would not recommend this company unless you choose to be yelled at, overcharged and disrespected.

I thought the issue was resolved but a little over a month later, my area got a lot of rain. My entire basement flooded. I spent 3 days using a subversive pump to pump out the water. I called a plumber who recommended me to Sewer & Water Specialist. It turns out the 1st company temporarily fixed the issue. They did not resolve the main issue. Richard & Dave at Sewer & Water Specialist used a hydro jet to clear my main sewer line and used a camera to figure out the main problem, which was roots at the tap of my line. They cut the roots out to help prevent reoccurrence of the problem, at least for a while. They were a lot cheaper than the 1st company. Richard gave me a detailed explanation of my problem and used a camera to figure out the problem. I can use all my sinks and bathrooms now without things backing up in my basement. I am extremely grateful for this company.

They were despondent for months and when we finally were able to schedule a day, the crew were unable to find someone to perform a ground inspection. The city of Livonia apparently needed 24 hours notice to get an inspector out to the job- seems like they should have looked into that prior to arriving, no? They then told us they couldn't do the job. We had taken a vacation day from work to be available, not to mention we had waited months to have this work done. Understandably, we were hoping to find a way to make it work. We called Sewer and Water Specialists (Monroe) and spoke with Kim. She told us that she had never heard of that before and that the township was in the wrong because they schedule this type of repair 20 times a day and have never encountered this issue. We asked if we could call the township directly to try to request an inspector and she sarcastically wished us good luck and explained that they never do that. We called the city of Livonia. Guess what- they did do that. So an hour and a half of this nonsense later, the crew stayed to do the job and had to work double time to get it done before the inspector arrived at 3- all because they were set up for failure by their back office support. But the crew was very polite and truthfully did great work. They took special care not to kill our plants and not once that day did they show frustration for the several miscommunications that occurred that morning. Thank you to the crew for your help- Don, Scott, Amber and Kenny. Here's to hoping this review will encourage better customer service or at least the utilization of Google calenders or Excel spreadsheets to help facilitate better planning and organization.

Not only did he put me at ease with the procedure but reassured me when they put a camera in to see what's going on, it stays between E&K and me.
