I called less than 2 weeks ago, and set up a time to have our new furnace inspected for the Fall season (We bought a Guardian (York) Furnace and AC unit, directly from Fry, and installed by Fry. (January this year)). We follow Fry's recommendations and have our furnace checked, before the winter weather gets cold, and again every spring the AC is checked. The Fry Service Tech (Chris) called at about 10:45, and said he was running ahead of schedule, and was in the neighborhood, and could he do our Fall Furnace inspection now. (Originally scheduled 1pm). He was here in 5 mins, said he remembered a little about the house, and complimented us on our new furnace. Chris went right to work, removed covers, checked the air filter ("change in the spring"), check wiring, circuits, Voltage, drain tubing, condensation well and pump. Tested the furnace for a cycle, and said "everything looks good, has she been working well for ya?" (Told him we're very happy with it! And it was a good price!) He was done in less than an hour. Then he thanked us for being a customer, put his tool bucket in his Van, and emailed a service invoice before he left the driveway, on to his next service call. From a customer service point of view this call we received today was highly unprofessional even tho it did end in them seeming to understand where we were coming from. If the call was to happen it should've started out with I'm sorry for experience how can we improve and not try to be defensive. This caused my review to go from 3 stars down to 2. Communication is key and it can definitely be improved on here. The work that was completed was good but the lack of communication and unprofessional call has left a spur taste in my mouth. Double check your estimates. I had a piece of the requested project left off the estimate after clear communication that it needed to be done. Walked the team through what needed to be done when they got here. At that point you think they'd point out it wasn't part of the estimate but no they waited untill the rest was done and told us it was going to be almost 900 for what was forgotten on the estimate. So make sure you double check for errors because im very frustrated with this because it wouldn't have taken long since most of the pvc is already there . They also charge 3% for every thousand dollars and they did not communicate it at any state in the process of hiring them. ( they didn't charge us because it was not disclosed in the estimate itself) but beware it does exist.

I generally don't go out of my comfort zone of companies I call. I found Actions name and thought I would give them a call thinking it would probably be another place that wouldn't be able to help, when I talked to the owner Mike I was so glad I called. Mike was able to come out immediately and get a new boiler on its way. He had his technicians out the next morning to replace our old boiler and put in a new one. They did an awesome job and were very professional. Our new boiler is great and we couldn't be happier. I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others

I needed to replace a thermostat that was not connecting to an app on my phone or to a Website…read more(Cor). Since my air wasn't working, I called to report the problem. They scheduled an appointment for the next day and their technicians came on time and put a new, simpler thermostat that did not need to use an app or the Internet to work. They were kind, respectful, thorough, and knew exactly what they were doing. I'm very happy with this company and their technicians. I highly recommend them for your hvac needs.

After decades of being a customer, I have decided to switch HVAC companies. I found the Pugh…read moreService Mgr to be rude in a recent issue with my Carrier furnace. The fan bearing had gone out and they did not fix, yet the he stated I had to tell their tech that I wanted it fixed. ? Seriously? I have to direct their technicians, even though I have been paying close to $500 annualy for their VIP program? He later wanted to reimburse me for the VIP and NOT fix the problem to avoid taking care of it. After a final legal threat, a tech was sent out to replace. They have no after hours support even though they claim to. Their on-call tech was sick when we called. He could not reach his backup or the Serv Mgr. Extremely poor management in my opinion. I contacted another Carrier HVAC company and they came out immediately as I smelled something foul in the house. They discovered that poisenous gases were in our house from a plugged heat exchanger. This same heat exchanger and model had a Class Action from over 20 years ago which Pugh did not notify me of or take advantage of. They had waited too long and compensation for a replacement had expired, now. This is inexcussable to allow to happen on Pugh's part. Thankfully, we have seperated and I now have a new furance and a company that I can trust my life with.

The manager never reached out to here our side. This is the proposal Mark gave us. We was hired to clean and tune up the furnace which he did not and wanted to charge us twice. Mark never said the furnace was unsafe. There is so much more I could say about our interaction with Mark bias position and his stereotype of my husband and I. Its well because Bluflame was professional and courteous. By the way is the house isn't for sale its sold. One has nothing to do with the other, again communication, honesty and professionalism is key here.

He boasted he had thirty years in the industry but would only refer me to chat rooms if I pressed for a better explanation. As has since been confirmed by a separate HVAC professional, the smart thermostat was only indicating a problem with the furnace itself. M&M charged me each and every time they attempted to service this furnace between November and January, and charged me to replace the working thermostat. Still, when the furnace failed hours after their latest attempt, I contacted their emergency weekend services, but was never called back. My furnace is functioning now after minimal service from a separate HVAC professional, and I trust the advice they have given me about the longevity of the system.

He explained everything in a straightforward manner, and he already had an idea of why my AC was barely functioning. He intended to get the problem diagnosed and then fixed on the spot if possible. The no pressure sales and after hours question follow-ups sold us. Even offered space heaters to use while we decided and got financing lined up.. The installer crew had to deal with installing in a crawl space and in freezing weather. They were extremely professional regardless of conditions.
