It went downhill from there. The cover for the drain was broken. It was not broken before they arrived. Perhaps, they broke it to place the hose inside the drain to empty the water inside the tank. They never told me about this. They left without mentioning it. I was left with a large hole in the drain cover. Anything can roll down the drain and block the pipe. Then they moved the tank about two feet. The new configuration of pipes blocks me from accessing the tank and the side of my furnace. The pipes shake violently if I slightly touch them. This is a gas leak ready to happen. They never mentioned that they moved the tank until they were leaving. I was shocked when I walked downstairs and saw the mess they left behind. I called them and the same woman answered. Not once did she say they were going to make things right. They should have done the job the right way the first time. She called me the next day and said the owner wanted to come see it for himself. Not once did she apologize or say that they would make it better. She hd already lied to me about their workers communicating with me, I did not trust them coming over again. I need to hire a plumber to reconfigure the mess left behind by 911. Heck, with this mess I will probably need to call the real 911 when the gas starts to leak, Avoid this company. I wish I could give them negative stars. I have lived in eight different decades. I am a senior. I have a limited income. I cannot afford to pay another two thousand dollars to fix the mistakes of another company.

It's…read moreembarrassing to admit, but for the past four years I've been propping up window units throughout my house with sticks and blocks of wood that I've found in my yard and garage and used duct tape to seal them from the elements. Looking back I don't know why I went through all this trouble when I should've just gotten central air all along. All that to say, this year I finally was like, what am I doing? And made the decision to finally install central air in my home. BJ and his team came and looked at my home, explained to me in the simplest terms what needed to be done, and were able to get started with the install the following week. I was so appreciative of how he explained the whole process, especially because I know absolutely nothing about air conditioning units. He was very thorough and direct, and I trusted him and his team immediately. I was out of town while they were doing the majority of the install, and felt so comfortable with them being in my house while I was gone. BJ always reached out and let me know when they would be entering my home, and was very communicative about when they would be stopping by. Since the install a week ago, I've had a couple of questions and BJ has been extremely responsive. I texted him a question on Sunday night and he responded right away and had his team at my house to fix the issue on Monday morning. I met with several different companies while I was looking to do the install, and BJ was the most responsive and the best price that I was able to find during my search. Thank you BJ & team for doing an incredible job! This was a big step for me, and I was so comfortable using them for this decision.

I had a really frustrating experience with Beehive Plumbing…read more I had a clogged toilet and sewage backing up into the shower drain next to it, so I called Beehive. To their credit, they were very nice on the phone and came out within a few hours. The technician, TJ, was also nice and seemed like he was trying his best. He spent a few hours there, went through multiple toilets, and tried a couple of cleanouts. In the end, though, he was not able to clear the clog. He told me the issue was solely because of a belly in the drain line. It does look like there is a belly in the line, so I am not disputing that. But the next day, I had another plumbing company come out. They pulled the same toilet TJ had pulled the day before and were able to locate and clear the actual clog in about 20 minutes. So I ended up paying two plumbing companies for the same problem, and the second company actually fixed it. I called Beehive afterward multiple times trying to get this resolved. Each time, I was told a supervisor would call me back within a few days, but no one ever called. When I followed up, they said their notes showed the supervisor had tried to call but couldn't leave a message. That happened twice, even though I've never had any issue receiving voicemails before. Finally, on the third attempt, I waited on hold until they transferred me directly to James, who I was told is the customer support supervisor. James told me that if I got an invoice from the second plumbing company showing there was a clog that was cleared, Beehive would reimburse me for their charge. The next day, I got the invoice from the second company and sent it to the email address James gave me. The invoice stated that there was a soft clog that was removed/pushed through. It also noted the belly in the line and said it could cause future clogs, but the immediate issue was still an actual clog that the second company cleared. Since that clog was cleared, everything has been working normally for 30+ days. I waited another week and heard nothing back. I called Beehive again and was told they "didn't receive" the invoice, even though I had sent it to the exact email address James gave me. I resent it to the same address, then once again had to wait on hold and ask to be transferred directly to James because the call-back process clearly wasn't working. After all of that, Beehive refused to reimburse me because the invoice also mentioned the belly. That felt really unfair. The belly may be a real longer-term plumbing issue, but the immediate problem I called about was a clog, and another company cleared that clog the next day after Beehive could not. What made it even more frustrating is that after looking through other reviews, I saw other customers describe what sounded like a similar experience: Beehive recommending a very expensive repair when another company was able to address the immediate issue for much less. My impression was that they were more focused on pointing me toward a multi-thousand-dollar repair for the belly than solving the immediate clog I had called them for. They were fast and polite, but based on this experience, I would not use them again. I would recommend calling a smaller local plumbing company instead.

So I called Barlow Service Experts for a 2nd opinion, which they offer FREE 2nd opinions! Awesome :) Calling and scheduling an appointment was easy and their technician was professional and polite. I advised the Technician of what the previous company had mentioned to me and the problems they found and Barlow mentioned that was NOT the case... In fact my furnace was fine and just needed a clean out. The previous company had also put my furnace back together incorrectly, which would have prevented it from operating correctly... so Barlow fixed that too! Barlow gave me a few suggestions, but overall nothing immediately needed to be fixed or repaired. My furnace is working great and Barlow saved me from getting scammed out of nearly $1,000 from another local heating company. Thank you Barlow! Very impressed.
