Recently hired him again, he sent one of his employees to do the job, the employee was friendly but obviously job didn't go well. I called him back to honor the guarantee. "I closed the company and can't do anything for you hire another company" there goes $300 down the drain, literally. Very disheartened that loyalty comes down to this. It was 6:00 pm and we had a plumbing emergency. My water line from the meter to the house broke and water was flooding everywhere. Fortunately I was able to reach the DWP hot line, it took two hours for them to come out and shut off the water, by then Street was flooded. I also called three plumbers, all I reached were answering machines, except for "Rooters On Time." Leo answered the Phone and was able to scheduled an appointment for the next day, at 7:30 am, so I could get to wok on time. With four people in the house and no water I needed to get this work done immediately! I knew I was at the mercy of the plumbing company. I don't want to brag, but I now have water! Thanks to José and his hard working men at Rooters on Time. As you see in the previous post we've been having plumbing issues. Well, until José of Rooters on Time came and put the camera down into our pipes we had no idea how serious the issues were. Let's put it this way, our 1955 cast iron pipes had massive rotted and rusted holes in them, hence our water issues: various shades of gray and brown water backing up and squirting out of places where water should not be. When we learned we'd need to have huge portions of our cement slab jack hammered to replace the pipes, I was overwhelmed thinking of the massive mess to our house and lives we'd have to deal with. But because José and his guys were so efficient, hard-working, and systematic they were done sooner than expected. José, before leaving, said, "You're back to normal!" Nope. Way better than normal - we have new pipes, better water pressure, no mystery water bursting out of places it shouldn't. So I hope you don't mind me bragging: We have WATER! Imagine getting ready to go to bed on a Saturday night. All is quite as you go about shutting of this light and that light. While in the kitchen you hear a slight hisssssss. Sounds like water leaking .... maybe under the kitchen sink. It's the loudest there, but no sign of water anywhere. Hissssssss I woke my sleeping husband to tell him at midnight that we have a water leak somewhere near the kitchen sink. Today was my husbands fathers burial. We were having over 40 of our family and close friends come over our home. We had a plumbing problem since 7 AM, and this was the worse day to have that. Note to self: don't throw the entire bottom of a bunch of celery down the drain. Note to Yelpers: if you do and your kitchen sink backs up on a weekend, call these guys. Within 45 minutes of my call, a plumber named Haik came over. He told us what he'd be doing, confirmed the preliminary pricing we got over the phone, and had the whole thing repaired in under 40 minutes. They offered $15 for agreeing to review their service. Happy to do so. He also gave us a lesson in how to routinely clean the line to avoid future problems. While we hope to not need them again, we'd certainly call them if we did. read more

I've found in the past that can be a hit or miss... This time, the reviews were all spot on! Ask for Edgar - he was available within an hour of our call. He came in, courteous, polite, and knowledgable. He attempted the snake the drain - unfortunately he had to come back the next day (no fault of his own). I am really saddened and disappointed with Leo at Rooters On Time. I have been using their services since 2012 and spend nearly $10k over this time period. He was my go-to plumber, but now he is not honoring the warranty that he provided. Leo replaced the 4"6" connection and put in a Perma-liner to the city connection in the street with a lifetime warranty. The 4"6" connection is cracked and now needs to be replaced. Leo is claiming only for the Perma-Liner is under warranty, not the connection. However, the invoice clearly states the entire job is under warranty. My property mgmt company contacted him and he offered to hydrojet the line with a 2-year warranty, but that only gives the roots a "haircut" and they will grow back in a few short months. That's not a solution, that's a band aid fix. I specifically paid thousands of dollars for a Perma-liner to get a permanent solution to my sewer line problem, not a short-term fix where roots will grow back. Now Leo is not honoring the lifetime warranty. In fact, he won't even return my phone calls to discuss the issue. Leo, I am very disappointing in your behavior, and given you don't want to address this issue shows you lack the morals, professionalism and ethical standards that I thought you possessed. I would not be writing this review if you would just return my call. Leo will probably respond by saying I am "incorrect" or providing "false statements." But I would be happy to post the Rooters on Time invoice and an estimate from another plumber that will support all the facts that I have just outlined. You are not returning my calls because you know you should be honoring the warranty you provided. JUST RETURN MY CALL TO DISCUSS! I would be happy to update this review based on our conversation. We ha a problem with our clothes washer not draining correctly, so after trying all of the usual home solutions and a handyman I knew it was time to call a professional. I sent an email out to two companies and only one responded within minutes, which I was not expecting since it was in the evening. Leo was very polite and professional on the phone explaining the different possibilities of what might be causing the problems and what the costs might be. Before I had the chance to ask about a free estimate, Leo was already asking me when they could come out the problem for a free estimate. From the beginning, Rooters On Time was pleasure to work with and deal with. Edgar was very honest and knowledgeable. He was extremely good at explaining what was wrong and the options for solution. His attempt did not work as he hoped and told my wife that since he told me that he was 99% sure that this would work, he was not going to charge us for the work. Edger than explained about hydro-jet solution and we agreed to do it. Edgar and the owner Leo were great working together trying to resolve our plumbing problem and accurately. Edgar and Leo worked great together and communicated every step of the way. After all was said and done Leo used the camera to check the main sewer line while I was there and found dome issues that could cause a problem. His explanation was very clear as he was moving the camera. He explained about trench-less pipe replacement and that just cleaning the roots out now will just prolong the issue and end up costing more in the long run, which made sense to us. My wife and I agreed to get this taken care of the following weekend. Both my wife and I felt that they truly looked out for what was best for us. I felt very comfortable with the process, the people and the pricing was very reasonable. They came out when they said they would, did the job that they said they would do and cleaned up after themselves. Edgar, Leo and their staff truly did a superb job for us. I will definitely call them again with all the plumbing needs and recommend them to my friends and others that may have plumbing issues. My only regret was that I did not call them sooner. read more

Although this company is starting to do the same so far they have proved fair in their pricing and returned Free of charge when the drain in the floor directly below it clogged up. Harry was just at my home in Granada Hills and I must say that he did a great job. He fixed the toilet in one of our bathrooms and unclogged the air gap drain from the dishwasher to the disposal. Well, here I am with a Ice Cold Beer thinking to myself thank you Rooter On Time. This is my stressful series of events. I live in a apartment style condo on third floor of a three story building. Since moving into my place I've had several plumbers clean my kitchen drain using a rooter machine (snake) to unclog my drain. They have done a decent job but my drain continues to clogs or slows down. This time the drain was severely clogged. All the pipes under the sink have been replaced so these were not the issue(s) under the sink causing the clog. It must be a clog deep in the pipes somewhere. I read all the outstanding reviews via Yelp for Rooter On Time. So I requested a quote by using the Yelp Request a Estimate feature. Within 10-15 minutes Leo (Big Boss/Owner) contacted me via email with a quote. I was pleasantly surprised since I sent the quote request to (6) different Plumbers and Leo was the only to contact me back. Good so far. Leo scheduled an appointment to have Harry come out and inspect/diagnose the problem. Harry came over and instantly I knew this guy was super cool and knew his stuff. He attempted to unclog the drain using a rooter machine (35 foot). He did the job quickly and efficiently however the drain did not clear. Harry informed me that the problem was deeper into pipes than expected. OMG! Harry assured me that Steve with a rooter machine (75 foot) would do the job. I started feeling reassured again. Steve arrived on time with a great attitude. I was thinking to myself (2)two really cool guys work for the same company...that's awesome. Steve attempted to clear the clog but the diameter of the pipe was too small to handle the 75 footer rooter machine. He quickly came up with the solution to create a larger access point. The following day Steve arrived with all the tools and parts needed. And he was right on time again which is great in itself. He quickly went to work and within 45 minutes he created an access point and cleared the tough clog. Steve really worked hard to insure that the all 75 feet of the rooter machine was utilized. His determination and willingness to work hard for the customer cleared my drain. He said it was very difficult to clear the due to all the sludge build up. Steve rocks! If this didn't work I would be forced to deal with my HOA (Home Owners Association). What a nightmare that would be. For sure it would be "pain and suffering" plus doing dishes in the bathtub for who knows how long. If you want a job done thoroughly, professionally and have a great conversation (Harry and Steve) Rooter On Time is definitely the right choice for you. I called Rooters On Time and they arranged an appointment same day, didn't even have to request a rush. Within 3 hours I had Edgar in my house looking at my system. I had hot water in the tank but only cold coming out of the fixtures. Cold showers in the winter are no good. I previously had 2 other plumbing companies come over for the problem, and neither wanted to troubleshoot. Quickly Edgar had tested at least 6 things and decided he'd need to replace a part. I appreciate that, no need to immediately start throwing parts at a problem. He figured out what the issue had to be, explained it to me, and replaced the problem part. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I have been a customer of Rooters On Time for over 10 years, but lately the company has gone down the drain. My most recent service call for a clogged drain resulted in a plumber showing up collecting $150 cash and not clearing the drain completely. Within 2 weeks, the drain was backed up again and when I called Leo at Rooters he didn't return my calls or texts. With persistence on my part I finally got a hold of him, he had the same plumber return to my home. This time the plumber said, "the line can't be cleared all the way. Clear by my definition means some liquid can get through"! That's craziness! I had another plumber come out and he was able to completely clear the drain of ALL MATTER so that it was completely clear and clean. Success. They indicated that the work done by Rooters was substandard. I've had no problems since the 2nd plumber did their work. I have attempted to contact Rooters On Time no less than 4 times to address this issue and they have chosen to not return my calls, texts and emails. Clearly they have something to hide and do not stand behind their work. It's a shame really that after 10 years and over $10,000 of work over the years (copper pipes, tankless water heater, new sewer line) a relationship has been ruined over $150. But, they've shown who they truly are and it's not a pretty picture. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They are all about the quick buck not fixing the problem. read more

I was expecting the usual next day or two service appointment that most establishments normally offer, but to my surprise, they told me that they could be at our residence within an hour or so. These guys are the best in service & price. My kitchen drainage line backed up during the Memorial Holiday weekend and they were the only local plumber to have someone to come out. After two attempts to unclog with a rotor, the plumber had me view how much line went out before the obvious blockage. Since it was at night, they were to come back next morning to go under the house to inspect the line. Steve and another worker came on time; confirmed blockage location; and, the contributing factor of a bogus prior installation of the line - with insufficient slope in the line; insufficient supports (which produced kinks); and, two 90 degree turns! In two hours the line was cut and repaired with proper slope and supports. Steve showed us the clogged portions, which were almost mortar hard!! Not a happy customer because I don't like when plumbers waste my time or TRY to charge 2x more than other local plumbers in the area. First, they are not on time, I first used them last week and scheduled them again for today. Both times two separate plumbers were both late. No one will call you to let you know they are running behind, they just assume you have nothing else to do but wait for them. Their time is more valuable than your time :) I called them 2-3 times each appointment to find out the arrival time. Today the second plumber shows up and he gets out of his van in a hurry, he tells me he doesn't have much time because he has other jobs. Off to a great start. I told the receptionist two days ago that the faucet in my tub has a constant drip, every 2 seconds. I need this to stop. I also told him I have a new kitchen sink and faucet that I want installed. The stuff under the sink is old and needs to be changed too. He seems to understand, we schedule the repair and install for today This plumber shows up and has no idea what he's doing here. He says he can't fix the drip today he just came to see it. I got upset because I scheduled this appointment to fix it! Then his boss tells him "just give her a high price, if she wants it changed same day if not then fine". He was on speaker, using my phone! He plumber says $350. I'm shocked and offended!! I called 5 others plumbers and they quoted me $125-140 to fix the cartridge that's causing the faucet to leak. Then there's the kitchen sink. The plumber wouldn't even look at my new sink and faucet. He said to hire a handyman for this job. Well, if you would have told me over the phone I would have! If you hire them you're probably overpaying. First plumber Harry was nice, hire him directly and save yourself from dealing with plumbers who careless and charge 2x more. read more

My wife and I had at least 7 companies that sent "guys" out, snake the camera, and give their speel about what was needed.  Price quotes ranged from 5-15k, many wanting to charge simply just for running a camera.  "I'm a sewer monitor."  Needless to say, we heard a great deal of sales nonsense. I called for a persistent clogged tub drain, chemicals just couldn't treat the clog anymore. Spoke with Leo (Owner), and scheduled one of his Plumbers (Steve) to come out. I was given a 1 hr window between 9-10AM and Steve arrived around 9:20AM. Steve was very friendly, and more importantly willing to educate about what the issues is/was and how to prevent & maintain going forward. After snaking the drain he did go the extra mile, as we found out the screw which held the face plate in on the tub was rusted through. It wasn't salvageable, but Steve had an extra face plate and screw which he replaced for me free of charge and saved me a trip to Home Depot. The job took about 45 minutes, would have been shorter if not for the unexpected challenge. The later was most appreciated as the drain is fixed and I don't have any loose ends to deal with; I can move on to the next item on the list.
