I have gotten some of the best tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, watermelon, onions, pears, and a beautiful mum (which was much cheaper than at big box places, and much nicer). The prices are reasonable, generally cash only. Bring a reusable bag, or the usually have plastic. Parking is behind where the vendors are set up.

We had to buy produce not from the stalls of local farmers filled with fresh produce at a great price that encouraged us to venture out, no, we had to get it at Kroger. And fresh flowers from a sweet woman who runs Jaybird Farms and makes beautiful wreaths out of dry flowers, no, I had to get those at the grocery store too. Ridiculous complaints, I know, but I don't care. The Loveland Farmer's market is awesome. There's an eclectic mix of vendors from all over Southwestern Ohio. Produce, bread, baked goods, tea, coffee, knife sharpening - it's got it. Most vendors accept cards and there's a great system in place for those who don't that is cheaper and easier than getting money out from an ATM. Plus, you get to walk around licking a Street Pops popsicle which makes it all the better.

During the start of the 2020 season is what put me over the top with 5 stars. They were determined to start the market as best they could. They set it up so it was pre-order online, and drive thru contactless pickup. While this limited some of the vendors available, as not all have that kind of technology, they did the best they could to continue with safety. I took full advantage of this and was very pleased with how it went. Now that things are opening back up they are again doing a walk up market, but still with the option to pre-order and pickup. The vendors are quality and all very passionate about their products. They really have everything from produce, meats, eggs, dairy, plants, cheesecake, pastas, bath products, bread and baked goods and so much more! Some of my favorite vendors are Blue Oven, Five One Three Bagel, TS Farms, and Jaybird farms. Check it out whatever way you can! I parked in the lot and it was packed with cars. Next, you have to go inside the store barn and get a bucket for apple picking. The Carmel apples were all sold out as well as the apple cider popsicles and the apple cider fridge looked a little bare. I read the other reviews from my fellow yelpers that mentioned the amazing apple cider, so I knew I had to get some before that was sold out too. I grabbed the next to last gallon of apple cider (or so I thought) and put it in my car before I even started apple picking. This place has a front Orchard and a back Orchard. Honestly, I didn't even see the front Orchard until I was already done apple picking. The best way to get to the back Orchard is to take the tractor wagon/hayride. I waited about 15 minutes and the tractor arrived, but it filled up to capacity real quick. So me and the kiddos decided to walk it out. Know that if you are walking to the back Orchard, you will bypass a stream and walk a couple of hills on the way. The best way to not get overwhelmed by the types of apples is to know which ones you came to pick. My favorite apples (gala, honeycrisp, Fuji) were not available for u-pick. So, I was left to just try the types of apples and find the perfect fit for my pick. Yes, you can try an apple or two. Most of the apple rows are labeled with the types of apples. There were pear trees too, but I didn't see any pears because they were all picked out. FYI's: Watch out for the muddy puddles. Wear boots or appropriate shoes. Ask for the apple picker tool. They did refill the apple cider fridge as I was checking out. The u-pick apples were 85 cent a pound. The apple cider is sweet, fresh and the best around. My favorite apples were the golden delicious.

There were a couple of booths selling fruits and vegetables, one with some meat products, another couple selling baked goods, and one selling local honey. A nice way to support several local businesses in one stop. During our last visit, the Forest Hills Bluegrass Band was playing. Folksy style music was a perfet fit for the farmer's market. It really gave the market a lively yet relaxed vibe. It was not overly busy when we got there. As we were walking to our car around 10:30 am about ten new cars of people were coming. Plenty of parking is located on both sides of the church.

Lovely farmers market!…read more I've stopped by here twice, so far. Yesterday was my second visit. I was a little later in the time frame both times and may have missed some vendors. Or they don't have many - yet. But I hope to see it grow! It's on a pretty farm - where you can pick your own berries - and held in a nice barn/store on the property. Yesterday was nice enough that a couple of vendors were outdoors. Everything is locally grown/sourced. I've purchased a variety of fresh produce, local chicken & beef (they have pork too), honey, baked goods, herbed butter and fresh herbs, maple syrup & maple bbq sauce. I'm excited for the maple vinegar I got there yesterday and can't wait to use it. And fresh farm eggs! Once you have fresh farm eggs you'll never want to buy them from a grocery store again. They also have a variety of jams, dried mushrooms (I will be getting some of those the next visit!) and natural body products.

Simmons Farm was just what we were looking for. We were looking for a quieter farm with u-pick…read morepumpkin, and a few activities. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Melissa Simmons. This included welcoming us to use one of their sanitizeed carts. After telling her this was our first visit to their farm, Melissa introduced herself, she then told us about the farm and the activities. Our first stop was the pumpkin patch. Melissa told us that if we were lucky we may still find blue pumpkins. These are "robin's egg blue Cinderella pumpkins." We carefully scoured the pumpkin patch for them to no avail. It looks like we were too late to find one. We did find some awesome orange and green pumpkins, orange pumpkins, a few white pumpkins, cushaw squash, and an assortment of small and large gourds. Activities are well spaced out. There are seasonal favorites such as a corn maze, hayrides and cutouts. Maps are available for the corn maze if guests are worried about getting lost. For 2020, hay rides are priced per person, with only one family in the wagon at a time. One unique activity is a giant trebuchet. Guests may pay to launch pumpkins from it. There is a play area with spaced out activities for younger children. Visitors are welcome to walk around the farm. They have sheep, chickens and rabbits. There is a creek behind the corn maze. Complimentary U-pick raspberries may be snacked on while visiting. Picnic tables are available to use. Prepackaged snacks are available for purchase. Some farm fresh goodies such as eggs and jam were also available for purchase.

As far as pandemic measures, masks are required, you must use hand sanitizer on entering and keep social distancing. Vendors asked customers not to touch any merchandise. Some asked you put your cash into a basket. Plus, the fair is outside. You are also able to pre-order per many vendors through links on the Farmer's Market website and can even have runners come to your car with the products. Check the deadlines, as some are as early as the Monday before the Thursday market.
