Hey this place is awesome. Great food, adequate portions, great service all at a very fair price. Our waitress kept my glass full and brought our food out promptly. The inside is nothing fancy but the seating is adequate and comfortable. The menu has a decent amount of variation so should be able to make anyone happy. I had the chicken tenders and they were really good. I am somewhat of an afficionado of the tender, and these were crispy, and flat, which is the best shape for a chicken tender. My wife had the Poboy and the shrimp were crispy, tender, and the bread was light, fluffy and a light, crispy crust. When we're back in Ephraim, we're coming here, so should you. read more

I want to update my review. While everything I wrote is true, I should have waited a little longer to write my review and then included some of the positives and less "angry commenter tone". First, this is a small business in a small town which is not easy. The staff looked to be mostly teenagers and during my wait I didn't once see any staff not working their tails off. I also they were nothing but polite. Finally, the food was good. So maybe order a head or plan to hang out with friends while waiting. read more

I really liked the food here. I thought the burgers were pretty good and the combinations they put on the burger we had were really good. I got the spicy burger and it was really spicy. I almost couldn't handle it, which was surprising because a lot of times spicy food just doesn't have a kick. my wife's burger looked good as well and it had bacon, onion, ring, cheese, and other condiments. The onion rings we ordered were also good. They do have flavored sodas that you get at soda shops in Utah, but I just got a regular Diet Coke. my wife ordered a special drink and really liked it. I will definitely be back if we are in the area to try something different. Service was a little slow but it was OK we were in no hurry. The food was fine, the place is cute, but not somewhere we wanted to go back to the next evening. The Greek Burger could have used more pickle, but the combination of gyro and burger was nice. They were very crowded and the kitchen missed a "hold the sauce" so they had to remake one burger and that took a very long time. read more

We ordered pastrami burgers, fries, and onion rings. The fries and onion rings were amazing, especially the onion rings. All the pastrami burgers were pathetic. There was one slice of thin pastrami on each of them and one of the slices didn't even cover the whole burger. read more

We stopped in at the Roots 89 Grill for some ice cream treats. We got milkshakes and hand scooped ice cream. They make their milkshakes with hand scooped ice cream instead of soft serve, which is a plus. The shop is a fun little spot with lots of outdoor seating in a very picturesque street. read more

4 of us went on a Sunday for breakfast, 2 of our plates had black hairs in our food. We noticed that the cook had black hair and beard. They comped one of the meals but none of us ate the rest of our food. The waitress was great and what food we did eat was good. But we won't be going back, and we live here. UPDATE: After talking to the owner, we went back and gave breakfast another try. The food was delicious! Any issues that we had before were fixed. We will definitely be going back! read more

A great option when the wait at Das Cafe is too long. The fries are amazing and worth a visit for that alone. Shakes are great as well. The burgers are pretty good. My only complaint is that it tastes like they just use frozen Costco meat instead of someting fresh and juicy (like you will find a few towns North at T-Cees in Fairview). If they fixed that one issue, this would become a go-to for us when we are in Spring City. The atmosphere is classic Spring City / Sanpete County. I'll give this one 3 stars for atmosphere.. it's quaint. Reminiscent of Route 66 but centric to Utah 89 corridor culture. Spring City is a lovely little glimpse into early settling by the LDS people, known in those days as Marmons. This little grease pit is a little out of place and honestly kinda cleaver. It wasn't too busy when I rolled up and the guy behind the counter offered me water.. which is congenial.. all in all pleasant people, but it took a while to get the food... Which was honestly underwhelming.. I got a P-burger and Fries.. a usual measuring stick for me.. honestly I wasn't impressed.. the ingredients were of frozen stock.. maybe the lettuce was fresh, but I won't be paying almost $20 for a fast food style meal here again.. on top of that they need to drop their prices and stop asking for tips at check out.. but then if they did that, they probably would be able to stay in business. I ended up paying about $25 for a $15 value.. (that's being generous) Much luck! read more

If you find yourself on Highway 89 definitely check this restaurant out. It's right on the main street in the middle of town. I stopped in after a day of hiking for a burger and fries. I tried the pastrami cheeseburger and it was cooked to perfection. I did get everything on it and it was just messy goodness. I thought the burger was seasoned well and the pastrami tasted great on the burger. The bread they use for the bun is perfect with the hamburgers. They serve ice cream, but I was too full for that. Their fries are delicious. Crunchy on the outside yet soft on the inside. This place is truly a gem. The staff are very friendly and bring the food out to you. They do offer drive-through or you can just walk right in and place your order and then sit outside. They do have seating inside which was really cute. It looks like it was an old soda fountain restaurant. if you're in the car or if It was a nice spring day so I sat outside in the grass with my dog. Make sure you stop in and check them out, you won't be disappointed. read more

We are from out of town and were looking for a good local place and this hit the spot. We had the pastrami burgers, chicken tenders, fries and their fried cheese curds. They were all amazing! The food here in my opinion was pretty good, if not overpriced. Since the owner seems to have a monopoly on places that are open the day the rodeo is taking place, they have gotten the opportunity to make their prices on par with Las Vegas strip prices. That being said, it is very disgusting and unhygienic that the young lady behind the counter with blonde hair was nibbling on food with her back to the customers and eating out the freezer behind her and ignoring the customers behind the counter. The two young men were cussing up a storm. You do what you want in your own time, but I think it is disgraceful to speak like that when it is clearly marketed as a family business. The eatery itself was cramped and the fans hanging on the ceiling couldn't blow a napkin off a table if it was one inch away. You'd be better off eating outside. There are plastic tables provided in the outdoor area. The owner replied; which I think is a nice thing to do and definitely more than some other places. However their job isn't to argue with customers and get defensive, it's to take the criticism and either ignore it or make a change. I have lived in Las Vegas for a long time and I think I'd know the prices of things better than she would. Hence why that was the comparison to price points. It's never a good look bickering with people who paid your business a lot of money. The defensiveness showed in her reply makes me feel more confident in my "assumptions". Ultimately I said what I said-the food is good but way overpriced and there's other options with better owners with better communication and better prices. read more

The cheeseburger was super tasty and I'm kinda picky about my fries and the fries were perfect - both the regular fries and chili cheese fries. I never do reviews but I feel like this one is necessary. To start with a positive the cheese curds here are really good, but that's around where it stops. I got a burger and while it wasn't bad it was just middle of the bar with a pretty hefty price tag, my single patty cheeseburger with no side or drink was around $13 which is absolutely absurd no matter what way you look at it. I understand food is more expensive now but I'm from SoCal and the prices here, in a very small UTAH town, are comparable if not more expensive than many of the places I've been to. There is no way that a single cheeseburger should cost $13 with no side or drink included, and the other food prices are just as egregious. I have looked at other reviews and see that the owner argues with people who say it's too expensive but I think instead of doing that perhaps looking into better sourcing or something would be better time management. The staff was also just ok. The kids are nice but super distracted. I stood at the counter awkwardly for a couple of minutes while the cashier and a waitress were flirting behind the counter. I've never seen anything like it before. I also saw the staff eating the food while taking out orders which is just really strange and a bit nasty. The bathroom is also located behind the area where the ice cream is which I know likely can't be avoided but I think it's important to mention. The bathroom is also incredibly dirty and I think is used as storage for the restaurant as it had lots of gloves and paper towels on this giant mental shelving unit that was inside the bathroom across from the toilet. This place has mixed reviews and I can certainly see why; the food is alright and the employees make an effort to be kind but it's overpriced, very cramped inside, and sustains poor hygienic practices. I wouldn't come here again and you may want to reconsider if you are going to go and are looking for food that is both good quality and fair priced because this is not it. ETA: Unsurprisingly the owner has jumped on within a few hours of my review to make assumptions about me and try and justify her garbage prices. I've been across the country multiple times and have been at many different small business and large ones, in small towns and big cities. My burger, with NO SIDES OR DRINK, cost above $10 which is egregious. It was not incredibly big, not incredibly good, and absolutely not worth the price. It's fast food style food with the prices seen at much nicer places regardless of location, but also comparing it to other Utah small town establishments. The way the owner leaps on here to make assumptions about reviewers and argues with them is incredibly tacky. Perhaps spend more time training your employees to not munch on food or lick their gloved fingers before dealing with food or talk to them about yapping about drama in front of customers. But it makes sense that the employees aren't well trained if their owner is too busy arguing with customers and getting offended over other people's opinions. The bathroom is disgusting. The gloves you cook and serve with are stored in a dirty bathroom. Who cares if it's an old building? Old doesn't equal disgusting and uncleanly. And if the "busiest time of the year" is 15 people in the restaurant at once then the ridiculous price gouging makes sense. The owner is just as bad as her restaurant! read more

My favorite burger stop in the state of Utah. Well worth going out of your way to enjoy their fantastic burger choices, to-die-for ice cream treats, exceptional onion rings, cheese curds and everything else. I'm sadly disappointed. The reviews and pictures made it all look so good but what we ended up with didn't meet that expectation. For paying $45 dollars for only 2 burgers and 2 fries, definitely wasn't not worth it one bit. My burger didn't have any of the toppings I ordered for on it. It was just a plain burger, none of the sauces or lettuce, tomato, onion or pickles. The other burgers bun was crumbled and literally fell apart before it was even eaten. Both of our buns tasted off and the fact the one literally fell apart shows the quality. The fries were decent.
