The prices are basically what you might find for used clubs on Ebay, except you get your club right away and no shipping because it's LOCAL! You can test out the club for a week and if you don't like it, pay 3% of the club price to return! If it's a set of irons, then $20 to return. AMAZING! I can't wait to try out these clubs I got. Came here today to get some golf clubs for my husband. The man and lady that helped us was really nice and knowledgeable. The parking is across the street at the parking meters. When the parking meter monitor came to see if anyones meter was expired the lady asked us if our meter was good. That was really nice of her. The golf clubs are a really reasonable price. Roots & Relics is located on the corner of Richard Street and Merchant Street across the street from the Post Office in Downtown. I'm not an avid golfer anymore, but I did have the daunting task of clearing out my Father's apartment closet that contained golf bags of clubs. Make three golf bags and one travel bag full of miscellaneous clubs. My first thought was, WTH! What are we going to do we all these f'in clubs. That's when I remembered Roots & Relics, one of the only places in Honolulu that buys and sells used golf clubs. Threw all them clubs in the trunk/backseat of his car and headed to R&R the following day. I was hoping to get some decent money for whole bundle, but then they were on the older side so I wasn't expecting much. I found parking in front and got help unloading the clubs. Keith (owner) was outside and assess the clubs outside of the store. One thing I did like was how knowledgeable he was and how he didn't put down the older almost obsolete ones. Keith just calculated what they could resale and gave me a total for the whole thing. I was very pleased with the amount he offered and I accepted his reasonable offer. Lesson learned is why keep unused golf clubs that you could sell or upgrade. Roots & Relics has an unbelievable amount of pre-owned wall to wall golf clubs to check out. This all depends on the brand of the clubs of course. If you're working on a budget, Roots & Relics is a great place to checkout. Roots is a small shop stocked with clubs in downtown. They carry mostly used clubs, but do have new ones for sale. If you're visiting from out of town and didn't bring your clubs, you can also rent from them. There are two reasons why I like coming here. First, their customer service is outstanding. They're friendly, not pushy, and give recommendations. Second, their policy on used club purchases. You have the option of returning your club back for a full money back guarantee if you paid with cash. This only applies if you do it within a weeks time. If you paid with credit card, they deduct the processing fee. This is a great policy becuase it gives you the option of trying the club out on the course before finalizing your purchase. They don't have parking for custoners. Metered street parking only. Make sure you put enough into the meter. read more

The store is well organized and you'll be approached by their knowledgeable staff that helps you find exactly what you need. He took us straight to the irons, explained about the set that was available price $150 (snap, got that), then he pulled a driver and 5 wood talk to us about this pair Taylor made burner which he said was rarely available, he explained a little about this set of clubs driver $100, 5 wood $75 (snap, got that) moved onto putters, he explained about this Putter (we liked it cause it was purple)$50 (snap, got that), finally a golf bag I thought she should get a light bag. Okay, for me a barely ever golfer. I just basically golf when my friends come from Japan or some Company Golf tournament I get coerced into playing at. The ultimate shop for the golfer. More used clubs than you will find anywhere, also new clubs. And you can evem take them out for a test drive by putting down a few dollars. If you like them, you can then buy them, if not, it only cost you a few bucks to find out they were not for you. Not only do they sell clubs, they also buy clubs and will take your clubs in trade for any that you find in the shop. R & R started as a small shop in downtown Honolulu and became so popular that it is now in much larger quarters with golfers waiting at the door when it opens each morning. The sales folks will do all they can to get you what you want and at a price that is agreeable to all. You very well may see clubs in R & R that you have not seen anywhere elses, some that you may have had when you first started. I grew up waiting with the crowds on a Saturday morning in the 90s with my Grandfather looking for clubs at this wonderful shop, and I'm glad to see it's still around toddy. I haven't been into the store for a few years, but recently was looking for a set of irons. Low and behold they had exactly what I was looking for at the perfect price. This was way cheaper than anything I found on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist. Very helpful in helping me find the cheaper options. They also have a great selection of nicer clubs. I was taking golf classes at UH a few years back and was recommended by my instructor to go to this store.I wanted to continue playing golf after the semester ended but I didn't have any golf clubs. I haven't been to other golf stores so I can't really say they are the best but what I can say is that they have great customer service. I came with a friend and we looked like a couple of deers in headlights. There were so many clubs to look at, we didn't know where to start. Fortunately, someone noticed our confused faces immediately upon entering and came to us for assistance. I didn't feel any pressure to purchase anything from this employee which was great because I could take my time. Anyway, being a lefty, I thought that they had a few to choose from but was I wrong. Although minute in comparison to the amount of right hand clubs displayed in the store, there were enough left-handed clubs for me to choose from. I decided to purchase a set, with it, a golf bag, both used. I hoped that purchasing it would force me to continue playing golf, or at least to hit balls at the driving range.
