I had several trees on my driveway that needed to be removed, including one right next to the house that could easily have done some damage. I called Roots Arbor Care intending to have them remove that one tree and do the rest myself. I called them for an estimate and Anna came out the following day. She answered my questions, discussed the possibilities for various options, and sent me a quote the following day. Very nice and professional lady. The overall quote was quite reasonable and included a discount for having all the work done. So much so, that I decided to have all the trees in question removed and several stumps ground as well. It was a good decision. As Anna had said, they scheduled the work for a couple of months hence, then gave me a precise date when the time arrived. It was a rainy, cold morning so I thought they would cancel but the crew showed up right on time and did all the tree work in one day. The crew was very polite and helpful, worked hard, did an outstanding job, and left the site very clean. They even chipped up a few extra big branches that I had laying around from wind damage. I should also add that my wife generally doesn't like working with contractors because they often treat her pejoratively (dismissive, mansplaining, etc.). However, she thought that Nate and his crew were very professional and respectful, and would not hesitate to work with them again. The stump grinder showed up a couple days later and also did great work. Great people, good, hefty equipment and an overall solid job at a fair price. Highly recommended. read more

We had a 200 year old oak tree in our yard that had an ever worsening fracture from a main fork that was traveling the length of the trunk. The tree was positioned against a secondary power line, close to a well traveled road and across from a main power line, fire hydrant and gas line. it was not going to be an easy removal at all. We spoke to Anna, she visited the next day and we discussed our concerns over the health of the tree and the obstacles to its removal. She assured us that Roots could handle the job, and within a few days we had the estimate. Due to city permitting and the coordination of AEP doing a prune away from power lines and traffic control it took about a month from signed estimate to tree removal. I cannot say enough about how well we were taken care of. The only call we made was to our cable/internet provider to be sure they were scheduled to hook us back up. The crew arrived at 8:00, the street was closed at 9:00, power was cutoff by AEP and about 6 hours later the tree was down, there was no debris in our yard, the street had been blown clean. Amazing! Oh, did I mention that their estimate, while not the lowest we received, was well below quotes we received from other companies.
