I learned that I could paint and do various arts and crafts to ground myself. I have completely transformed from self-destructive and lost in terms of my will to live to someone my 9 year old self wouldve never imagined, im eating better, my mental health has never been better, ive been clean for the longest time, and I no longer have the desire to destroy myself from the inside out. I used to do recreational "drugs", i was a few sips away from being an alcoholic, i was obsessed with self harm and found it satisfying, and I lived without a reason to continue. Now I'm actually doing something with my life and working hard and trying to build myself up again. I've actually decided to start working on my physical health and im not only taking care of myself but my pets!! its been amazing to feel so much better. Im no longer drinking and cutting gashes so deep in my skin that it drops everywhere on my floor and actually healing now. But he called CPS on us after 2 appointments that were very unhelpful. CPS was better to autistic patient than this doctor! He was clearly unqualified in THIS AREA. He may be great for others, as some reviews suggest. We went to him as CASH patients b/c of reviews here & because he took new patients in person (rather than covid era Zoom appointments). But for autistics specifically. No. No. And NO. We also did not get called into appointments on time. No apology of course, and no overtime in our appointments. Unusual handouts given at first appointment, that hinted at his own bad experiences with patients and/or their insurance. Other therapists and doctors have welcomed questions & calls outside of scheduled appointments, but not Dr. Bello. He also couldn't/wouldn't prescribe med's that would last even one month, or until the next visit with him. My regular physician found this odd & I'm still not sure the reason he did this (or was restricted to this).

Corrine (not sure if that's how you spell it) had told me she would verify my benefits when I asked if this facility accepts my insurance and proceeds to call my provider for something that's not there. I had said I have a therapy referral and she proceeds to lie to me and tell me that it's all I need to attend the IOP program here. Why waste my time? I need help from a mental health provider. I don't need my time wasted. She then transfers me to the medical benefits line (?) to get the NPI number. I get transferred, ask for the number, get questioned a few times why I need it, get placed on hold, and then get told Chase will call me back. What's up with you guys? If you don't know transfer to someone who does. That alone was extremely off putting.

When we went in, he broke down what was in the IV and gave us recommendations for other things we could be doing to help. I was there for moral support and I was able to sit in one of the comfortable reclining chairs with a blanket while I waited next to him while he was getting his drip.
