You just sorta park on the side of a driveway that loops around the whole building. I brought my papillon here after our prior animal hospital closed down. That is, after much research in finding a new one. Rex and I were pleased with our first visit. All of the staff are pleasant and Dr. Goldmann seemed to be top notch. His care, his suggestions, advice and the whole experience really left me feeling comfortable after only 1 visit. It was only an annual checkup, but it was our first time together and his first time meeting Rex. Rex can be nervous around strangers, doctors and anyone messing with his body. The staff and Dr were careful, patient and simply perfect when working with him (shots, drawing blood, everything). I'm quite pleased and happy to continue returning here. The only other point I'll note is that they don't submit insurance claims for patients here. I've been to 3 other animal hospitals over the years and they all do this. So, if you have pet insurance, you'll have to submit the claims yourself.

UPDATE 1/2022My cute little boy of 13 years had a degenerative back and leg disorder. At the end he couldn't walk any more. It was the worst decision we had to make but he needed to be put down. So went back to Dr. K again. Although this was a very painful day for us our Brodie Boy was put down in a beautiful peaceful way. Dr K, his lovely wife Mary and assistant really helped us through it. So professional and supportive. We got his remains back today and it was such a beautiful presentation. Mary gave us a lovely personalized card from them to us too. If we ever get another pet this is the place for us! God Bless all! This part of their job must be so hard for them.

I must say, when he was at his other location it was more convenient for us as it was closer to our house and I was skeptical on getting familiar with new faces since we were such long standing patients at the other facility. But I must say it was a great change! First off, the building is in good shape, the entire hospital is always clean, and the staff is super nice, accommodating, and friendly whenever you come in. Michaella, and Jackie are definitely names to remember as they are awesome people! Michaella always knows how to give you a good laugh and is extremely helpful in every situation. Truthfully, all the girls that work here are great and a special shout out to one of the techs, Brianna she was SO helpful through my awful experience with fleas!!! She is so educated and always knows what she is talking about - super smart! Parking is eh...not the best but you can't get everything right? Dr. Stein is the best vet around and I can assure you there is nobody better. The truth of the matter is people want doctors that actually give a crap about our dogs and form bonds with them to show us just how much they really care! Dr. Stein has cared for my Mother's dogs as well over the many years of knowing him. He has spayed/neutered our dogs, performed many surgeries on our dogs, and dealt with the craziness for a long time now! My pumpkins love Dr. Stein and I know this as evidenced by the last time Dr. Stein was on vacation, I had no choice but to bring them to another doctor in the hospital. Now, I am not saying this doctor wasn't a good doctor because he totally was (forgive me I forget his name). But my Bruce was visibly nervous by shaking and trying to hide near me. He has NEVER done that with Stein and if he did that would mean something is seriously wrong. I can't stress it to people enough that Dr. Stein is the GO TO doctor if you want answers, compassion, trust, and excellent care. He is definitely a jokester (maybe not at first) but he will show you that side in time! Be aware, if you want to make an appointment with Dr. Stein you best do it in advance because he is like a show....always booked out! Overall, I couldn't have found a better place to bring my babies to. Everyone gives them the attention they look for and the care I expect them to receive. If you know me, you know I am crazy about my fur babies! I swear when I call the hospital, the girls are probably like "Oh god, what does she want now?" Haha! This place could be my second home that is how much we come here! I would never bring my money else where except here and if you need an animal hospital this is the one to go!

First, his staff are so welcoming and warm- you can tell they truly love animals and are excited to see your animal! Second, the time he takes with your pet makes you feel like you are his only patient. I'm never rushed, never brushed aside etc. My questions are answered in thorough detail (even the crazy ones!). Finally he really gets to know the pets as if they were his own. He remembered intimate details about my cat's personality that he puts into practice to make her visit more comfortable (things I wish our pediatrician would do!) and we both feel at such ease when we enter the premise. I feel the value $$ wise is also beyond fair. It's not a "one size" approach. Dr Gaylord truly customizes the appointment to what's needed and isn't only looking to his improve bottom line. Customer service is a dying art so when it's good, it must be celebrated! Run don't walk to this practice for your pet needs- it really reflects its name sake- truly a neighborhood gem!

We wanted to see if someone closer to home would sell her the fluids - without seeing the cat. We hoped we could have her regular vet provide a prescription. We called several local veterinary clinics. We got a lot of recorded messages, and spoke to one guy who was not enthusiastic about helping. I finally tried County Animal Hospital and Wendy answered the phone. She was sympathetic and seemed genuinely interested in helping us. She spoke to Dr. Wiener and we were able to work something out. My mom was able to get the fluids and take care of her kitty. Wendy really went out of her way to help. You can tell when someone actually cares. We were so grateful!

Valley Cottage Animal Hospital was not my fur babies doctor but since her doctor is 45 minutes…read morenorth when she was clearly ill a few weeks ago we had to rush her to VCAH as they are 5 minutes away. I knew going in that Allie wasn't going to make it and they were nothing but kind and caring. They gave me time with her before and after. I was so upset and forgot to ask if i would be able to have her paw print and a few days later in the mail I received a condolence card with her paw print signed by a lot of the staff. I was so grateful for this and my dad set me up to be able to receive Allies ashes. The pet cemetery not only provided a box with a picture frame with Allies ashes but also a clay block with Allies paw print. I can not speak for their medical services as Allie only went there once as a baby (which was a good visit just ended up with a family vet over the years) but I must say please keep doing what you are doing for grieving families. Ive spoken to others who have dealt with other animal hospitals and they didn't receive all the services and kindness i did. I truly am grateful that I have all this to remember Allie. Its all because you guys do the thinking for us while we are too upset to deal.
