They insisted that I'd only contracted for the front yard so hadn't treated the backyard AT ALL. Not true, as confirmed by a quick review of the contract. They admitted their mistake and refunded a few hundred bucks (the backyard portion, to date). George said they'd have no problem getting the backyard under control, but it was already July and that's not how weeds work - they had months to happily proliferate, and since then it's only gotten worse. Based on this experience, I had no intention of renewing for this year. No matter - they started up automatically, without notice. I called to cancel, relaying my frustration, and they said they'd revert with a better rate. They never did, and when I followed up they quoted a HIGHER price per application. George said it was based on a recalculated treatment area, but the square footage he referenced was for my entire plot, including the footprint of my house/pool/wooded areas/etc. I pointed this out and, despite multiple follow-up emails, they never responded. Very poor customer service. They screwed up my yard and then ghosted me.

This company brought a processing truck that appears to have violated the law as it processed the leaves and balls in residential areas. First and foremost, it created so much dust that you could not see through the dust cloud to the other side. But also, the workers did not bother to check to see if neighbors' windows were open before starting, and mine were. This truck was sitting about 10 feet from my open windows, producing an amount of air pollution that was in no way legally acceptable for a residential neighborhood, and a huge dust cloud from the organic matter that they were processing blew into my house, all over my belongings, on my cats, and my cats started sneezing and running around frantically. I literally had to do two days of emergency cleaning after they left (including hiring house cleaners). And that was just the inside of the house. Thank goodness I was home to get the cats to safety. It was so stressful. When I went outside to tell them to control their dust, the workers offered to clean my car for me, as if that would make it all better, which was just bizarre, and the least of my concerns in that moment. I had dust in my hair, in my mouth, all over my clothes, and in my ears and eyes, plus it was also all over the house and all over my belongings around the house. Further, the I'm certain that the noise exceeded the legal residential noise limit. Also, the workers trespassed all over my property , including my front porch, and left piles of leaves all over my plants, which would have likely killed them if not removed. I have pictures and video to prove all of this. I thought of calling the company and demanding that they come back to make everything right, but I really don't want a company that is this oblivious and careless anywhere near my house ever again, plus what they did was too problematic to imagine that they could realistically make amends. It was truly horrific. If this review is removed for any reason I will follow up with a BBB complaint and a formal complaint with the county. On a side note, what this company is doing at large is extremely environmentally damaging to Monarchs and other endangered species. If you don't know about leaf removal, google it.

I had one stone come loose right after our last snow and I contacted David about it. He sent someone out in less than a week to repair it. And recently, I contacted them to do a spring clean-up, redo a garden with the addition of a retaining wall, and to install stone steppers on a hill. From start to finish, it was professionalism all the way. David was very prompt in putting the proposal together and after I agreed with the terms, he got me on the schedule for work to be done in less than 3 weeks. He did not give me a design. So I did my own sketch and (foolishly) still hired the company. Despite following all aftercare directions, more than half of the plants failed. I started investigating and found that the crew installed plants with the plastic plant tags buried in the ground with the plant. Mulch used by the company was infested with a nasty fungi that took a lot of time this spring to get rid of. There really was no followup to speak of. The rep said he would share with the crew supervisor that the mulch had a fungus attached to it. Lisa, their administrative person, was very professional and on top of things. I have nothing but good things to say about her. But we are now $3,000 in debt for a poorly executed landscaping job. It makes me never want to hire another landscaping company. I am a gardener and could have done a better job myself and saved a lot of money.

The also do shrubs, not just trees. Thanks to a very expensive Nursery, I have several of the same shrubs in my landscape. That means when one gets a disease, all will eventually. That is somewhere close to $4K in costs if they need to be removed. AA really stepped in to treat and save my shrubs with a yearly maintenance plan.
