I've been before with urgent care, but this last visit went really well. It wasn't busy and I was called within 15 min. I was seen by a PA and she was really nice. She suggested I get an X-ray of my hand , since I fell and landed on it about 2 weeks ago. Results came back in 10-15 min from the radiologist. They said I may have a small fracture on the outside of my left wrist. Suggested that I wear a brace for about 10-14 days and see if the swelling and numbness goes away. Arrived at 2:30. Filled out paperwork. At 3:30 I was called to the desk. The lady who gave me the paperwork had gone to lunch. I paid the fee and gave her my license. I was called back at 4:30. The Triage nurse was very nice, and the PA was informative and helpful. I thought an express meant being seen promptly. 2.5 hours at the Express care. First, let's start with the grumpy receptionist who is clearly in the wrong place, because if she's going to greet people with such sadness, she should stay home. I went to have my genetic pregnancy test done, and after drawing 12 tubes of blood, they simply lost my tubes because NATERA never received them, even though their website showed that they did. I stopped in to this location and immediately checked in at the front desk. The receptionist asked for ID and proof of insurance. She was unable to locate the additional information regarding my visit and told me she couldn't find it repeatedly. A few minutes later.... After she looked again and found my information... I was finally checked in. After waiting about 10 minutes a young woman named Brittany came out to get me. She was polite, greeted me right away, made small talk, inquired about my plans for the day, she was both professional and complimentary. The inside appeared neat and clean. I was able to get all the meds I needed for my issue and it was a seamless process. The PA and nurse I saw this morning were very understanding and willing to listen to my concerns. Second time coming here because I had a good experience last year! Upon walking in, I was greeted with a smile and caring front desk staff. I needed some blood drawn from a wellness exam and brought my standing lab order. After issuing my documents, they did communicate the wait would be a little lengthy but I was okay with that because I came prepared with my book to read! Very clean, comfortable seating. A little chilly so bring a jacket. The phlebotomist that introduced herself was Lisa and was a student on rotation. She did a great job, we all start somewhere so I'm glad she was able to practice on me. Make sure to drink some water beforehand! This location is decently located. It has a lot of space for parking, although due to positioning of parking spaces, it can be a little bit of a walk for those that may be injured, etc. It looks clean and tidy inside, which is always a plus. The staff is pretty friendly overall, and we have not had any issues with scheduling appointments. It is an urgent care center, but some Roper physicians see scheduled patients at this location. Terrible customer service waited for over an 1hr 30 min. Would not recommend go to any other urgent care than this one.

I had to be seen this week for a sinus infection that was getting worse, this staff was awesome. Super professional and had a great sense of humor. They did test me for COVID and explained I didn't need the rapid test and I would not receive my results until next week. This was fine for me, I had not been exposed to COVID. Ask questions if you don't feel you got the information you needed, I felt this group was very organized and helpful read more

I needed to get labs and usually go to the other location but traffic was horrible so I decided to try this location even after reading thenot so great reviews. I didn't have my insurance card but explained that I've been at a Roper facility recently and insurance is still the same. She said she hadn't logged in yet and they usually need to see the card. Once logged in she confirmed my employer and low and behold insurance info. Another receptionist ask the woman serving me" did you have to search for that, they are suppose to have it themselves. Rude and secondly talking about the patient in front of the patient is just classy. No more visits at this location. A member of my family was found to be positive for COVID-19 and I needed to be tested. However, I was getting a lot of bad information about where to go and what was needed by doctors before you could get tested. I called Roper Express Care at 8901 University Blvd to try and get some accurate information and to see if they could test me. I told her of my experience and she apologized for everyone else and then told me I needed to go to a facility on Rivers avenue. However, a short time later, the person whom I was speaking with called me back! Said she had spoken with another physician at her facility and that I could use the Virtual Care app to speak with that doctor, get eh testing order, and come to their site to be tested. What a relief in an otherwise very stressful day. I pulled up in my car. They had me park off to the side and a nurse came and performed the swab test on me and my daughter. Took mere minutes once I arrived I want to tank PA Kathleen O'Brian, and the other young woman I spoke with. I feel so badly that I did not get her name because she was A+ in customer service this day. read more

Dont waste your time here. I came here back in June with severe upper right quadrant pain and what felt like chest pain (which I clearly stated). I work in an urgent care so I made sure not to say "stomach pain" which could be interpreted as something else. (I chose to not go where i work just for personal reasons of everyone you work with being involved in your business) so I came here seeing if it was necessary to go to hospital before waiting hours at the hospital. So the doctor came in and did a urinalysis and urine pregnancy test and said oh both are negative you can go home... i know for damn sure the location of my stomach pain was unrelated to both of those tests. I was told to follow up with their primary care so i tried to make the appointment and the desk told me it wouldn't be for weeks. So i said forget it, and went straight to the hospital.... and was admitted and had my gallbladder out!!!!! I was having a severe gallbladder attack!!!! Any doctor should have known that was a possible cause of the pain and not just run a UA and a urine pregnancy test and said your fine because those 2 were negative. All they are looking to do is refer you to be seen in their roper network, a rip off and they dont care about your health they just want your money. read more

Got a COVID test today. They didn't tell me until after that they take 5-7 days for results. Three other clinics I called today have same day results. I went in to get some routine test done. I was told my results would take anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes to process. Finally after an hour and 40 minutes, I popped my head out of the room and they told me the results had been in for almost an hour. The provider never cared to tell me that and when I asked about it, they just asked me if I had already paid and it sent me on my way. Very disappointing and no communication whatsoever. I went in today with really bad back pain, staff are friendly and professional but the physician assistant O'Bryan I saw completely lost it. She was accusing me of being angry (while acting angry and not letting me even finish my thought) and said the conversation was over, keep in mind I have never raised my voice and was calm the entire time. I told her I was annoyed but not angry (pretty good considering the pain I was in) but that made little difference while she stormed out of the room. So I got no solution whatsoever to my back pain, I got told I was angry, that's all I got for the bill I'll be receiving soon. This person may have passed some test and have a degree but in this field if you don't have any people skills you are probably better off someplace without direct customer/patient exposure. I'll probably go back here but avoid this physician assistant at all costs. read more

The check in staff were friendly and caring but it stopped there. The nurses were condescending and I never saw a physician although I was told I would. They offered no relief for my symptoms and were completely uncaring. My last experience with them they sent me away with a pat on the head when after several visits it was finally discovered that I had shingles. Another example of their incompetence. read more

Before going to the Roper Express Care I inquired as to whether they were credentialed as 'Primary Care' or 'Urgent Care'. I was informed that they were Primary Care and that I would only need to pay my primary care co-pay. They filed the claim as 'Urgent Care' and I was billed for the entire visit. I will no longer use the Roper Express Care facilities nor recommend them to anyone because they either have uninformed employees or their policy is to deceive. I have asked that the bill be written off and they refuse to do it. read more
