Sweet. It's a very nice office with plenty of parking outside. The staff are very welcoming and friendly here. Due to Covid restrictions they ask that we wait for our appointment in the car. They called us within ten minutes. The exam room that we were assigned was clean, full of supplies and comfortable. The nice thing about this service is that all patients information is added to the account on the Patient Portal. So if you have ever been to any Roper your info will pull up. A nice advantage. A disclaimer here: I work for RSFH at another facility. The appointment was fast efficient and thorough with lab work done in the same building. Great service.

I have been a patient of RSF for over 15 years, primarily with a superb and recently retired PCP (Dr Pappas) and an excellent orthopedic surgeon ( Dr DeMarco) I badly injured myself and presented there on a Monday @ 6:45.... a full hour and a quarter before their advertised closing. There were two cars in the "patients' part of the parking lot and 3 cars in the employee's part. I interacted with 3 different people there and they refused to see me. The person in charge told me there were 3 patients already in there and they might not be finished with them before closing time. I literally begged them to see me. I was hurt and I am almost 80 years old. I told them about my long standing status as a Roper status. The didn't budge and didn't care. I decided to wait in the parking lot for a while to observe the cars there. The last patient apparently left about 7:30 and the last employee about 7:45. Being hurt and confused, I drove down to Drs Care, an urgent care center about a mile down Johnny Dodds Blvd. I checked in @ 7:58, 2 minutes before their closing time. The M.D. there treated me until 8:15, strongly advised me against driving, and recommended I go to the emergency room for a MRI and/or CT scan. I have been back there twice and they were very nice, very complete, and very professional each time I called the practice manager for the Roper walk in clinic a day or so later and she was as rude as the people at the walk in clinic. My advice = stay away from Roper Walk in Clinic and go to Drs Care. They advertise their closing time as 8:00 pm on flyers they send in the mail, on their web site, and on the front door of the office.

So I returned as she said for what I assumed was the 2nd half of the visit. I even mentioned to the front desk person- it isn't another copay right? Because that is another $50 when it is you that didn't have what was needed not my fault. Oh no, it wouldn't be. Well, here we are a month later and I got some money PayPaled to me for a deposit on my new place, only to find it short $50 because they auto drafted off the card I used at the first appointment to pay the 2nd copay they did in fact charge me for. Then when I called to have it fixed they said somewhere in the paper work (fine print) I agreed to have them auto draft any outstanding balances. I live on a very small budget and would not have knowingly agreed to auto drafting anything as now I cannot pay the deposit for my new place and they have refused to return the 2nd copay that I truly think I shouldn't have been charged for as they didn't have the equipment needed functional on the first visit. So here I sit, waiting another 2 weeks basically pondering homelessness because they set up an auto draft and set up a scenario for double billing me. Be wary all!

I made a mistake and did not realize it was out of network but all I am asking is that CVS change my billing to SELF pay and charge a fare and reasonable fee fo a visit to an NP. They advised they CANNOT change me to self pay and the best they can offer is a 20% discount. If you go to this clinic you better sure you're in network or get ready to pay a fortune. $983 for a 30 minute visit with an NP for a flu test and a COVID test. Anyone else think that's unreasonable?

I used printable coupons a few times, and the cashier actually accused me of copying them (which I didn't do, my printer was just running low on ink and combined the colors to print in black and white). They were frequently sold out of items, too. It's an okay CVS if you need to pick up something and it doesn't involve a prescription and if you don't have a coupon. Fortunately, I now live near a nicer and more friendly CVS.

My wife and I moved to Wilmington Island from Miami, FL several months ago, and this is the first time that I had occasion to use the Minute Clinic here. We had been traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday, and upon our return, my wife learned that she had Covid. While I had no symptoms, I wanted to ensure that I had not become infected, so I decided to get tested at the Minute Clinic. The process could not have been any easier. I logged onto the CVS.com website last Wednesday morning at 8am, clicked on the link to schedule a Covid test, entered my zip code, answered a few questions, selected an appointment time for a few hours later that same day, and voila!, I received a confirmation code for my appointment. As directed by my confirmation email, I arrived 15 minutes early, entered my confirmation code into the computer terminal inside the Minute Clinic area, and then took a seat in the waiting area. At the appointed time, a nurse ushered me into a room, took my vital signs, and then instructed me on how to perform the self-test. The swab was then entered into the testing machine, and then I was directed to the waiting area once again for a few minutes until the nurse practitioner was available to see me. She took down some further medical history from me and then gave me a short physical examination to see whether I had any congestion and if my lungs were functioning properly. I received my test results in a few minutes (negative, yea!) and returned home. As I noted earlier, the process could not have been easier. Moreover, both medical personnel with whom I interacted were courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to return again to the Minute Clinic at this location should the need arise.

Dropping off 4 lab samples here for the main lab, using the lab office here at Roper Express. Anyway, when I went in, I was told that each sample needed to have my name and date of birth on them. The labels on the vials provided space for, and thus I had filled out the time of the sample and the date along with my name but not the date of birth as it was not asked. I was told that when the main lab received them and they could not read my name or did not have my date of birth they would throw them away, apparently without contacting me. That was the weirdest thing I ever heard and yes I said that sounded a bit like medical malpractice.
