Getting a fresh Thanksgiving Turkey from the farm really makes a world of a difference if you want a succulent, juicy bird. Getting one from here was around $92 for about 20lbs this year. With covid, and then whats going on in the economy, we wanted to do something special for the family and this has been a new tradition as we went from eating mom and dads turkey... to hosting and baking our main course for our immediate family. If you don't want to baste every 30 minutes, this is your go to bird if you are able to afford it. I called around October and it was still within the timeframe to preorder a turkey. All you have to do is leave your name and number and on the day of your selected pick up (earlier in the week and earlier in the morning is ideal because it gets crowded and overwhelming REALLY fast). This is cash or check only. It has always been. Also side note I dropped my license in the dirt parking lot and they called me right away because they matched me to my order. I'm lucky enough to have a turkey farm basically in my backyard..! If you haven't already experienced the benefits of a local farm you should definitely try it out. The service is impeccable and the staff is very friendly.! Even though you are waiting in line to pick up your order you don't realize it. The service is very fast. Roperti's Turkey Farm from now on is my go to place for buying a great fresh (not frozen) range fed natural grains beautiful turkey. My wife picked up the 23 pound turkey at the appointed time and it was ready with our name on it and she was also given a one page cooking recipe guide. We followed the recipe closely and inserted a thin remote temp monitor into the thickest part of the breast. We had 14 people over for Thanksgiving and even the 9 grandkids raved over how great the turkey tasted. Moist and juicy and a great flavor and lots of meat on these birds! I have been purchasing turkeys from Ropertis for over 35 years. You simply cannot buy a better bird anywhere. And if you prefer a smoked turkey those are fabulous also. Might be a great place to buy your Thanksgiving turkey. But the sweet corn stand not so good. The corn in my opinion has been picked a little early. I asked if it's ok to pull back the husk to see the delicious ear of corn. To my disappointment the corn is half grown. The two women inform that I can pick another corn and they'll give me another corn. Plus there a buck a ear. Ended up with three ears of half grown corn on the cob. For two bucks. Next year I'll just go to the farm stand at Ann arbor trail just east of Farmington rd. read more

This was the first Thanksgiving that my husband and I have ever celebrated alone and, in an effort to make it extra special, we ordered a turkey from Ropertis Turkey Farm. It was the best turkey we've ever had! Our experience from the time I placed the order to when I picked up our bird was excellent. I called to place my order and the person was very helpful. When I picked it up the day before Thanksgiving, I noticed how each time they moved a bird, they immediately wiped the area underneath where it had been. They were very committed to cleanliness! We've been getting our Thanksgiving day bird from Roperti's for a few years now. My husband's company would buy each of the employee's a turkey every year for Thanksgiving (How nice is that?) but he has since moved on and it was time for me to bite the bullet and get a turkey myself this year. I just picked it up. I was expecting a long line but in fact - they were quite efficient! Had my turkey ready to go - all 21.3 lbs of him! You will never get a better tasting juicy turkey anywhere, they are corn fed, no antibiotics, no added water or flavoring, TOTALLY ORGANIC. I have never had a better bird. I have been going to Roberti turkey farm for the past few years. Very satisfied. I happened to go out of the country so I ordered my turkey before I left, November 3rd. As with the past years I confirmed I needed cash and that I would pick up the evening before thanksgiving. The woman told me that the afternoon would be crazy so that 5 would work out great. At about 2 I happened to be in the area so drove by to see how busy they were. No cars in the lot. Lucky me... Until I saw this man walk up to tell me they were closed and sold out!! I felt like it was a joke. I have 15 for dinner tomorrow. They decided to close at noon. No phone call nothing. I realized it wasn't only me when at least 10 cars came in to pick their turkeys, that were gone. Poor managing. Will find other organic turkey farmer read more
