Excellent! I really appreciate this farm to table meat market and grill…read more I have done carry out orders and loved the meat shawarma, chicken shawarma, and falafel sandwiches. Very flavorful! I finally took the time to dine here for dinner. I brought my extended family to try it and they have become fans now too. They have a nice size dining area in the back, with small and large wooden tables, and nice lighting. We started with a small order of the hummus with beef tips and veggies. We devoured that and wish we had gotten a large order. The hummus was delicious on its own, and then adding the tender beef tips was such a wonderful bonus. My family loves steak so we ordered the New York, filet mignon, ribeye, and lamb chops. Generous portions and you can tell this is high quality meat. They really pride themselves on the quality of their meat and I can see why. The fries are seasoned really well too. We also enjoyed the chicken gallaba, which has a nice spicy kick to it, served with rice. The lentil soup is very tasty too. I ordered the very berry lemonade and was delighted by the fun lightbulb glass it was served in, and you get to keep it. Yay! I love a fun memento. Hot tea is available and I love when tea is served in a glass mug. The manger, Johnny, took excellent care of us all evening, and was very attentive and made helpful recommendations. He even surprised me with a delicious brownie dessert, in honor of my birthday. Everyone is very kind and welcoming here. It has a great vibe. They have their own parking lot so coming here is easy. I highly recommended coming here!

We all ordered different things - chicken schwarma sandwich, mixed skewer meal, rice, salad, fries. Every item was brought out when it was ready and not when entire meal was ready. It was all brought out in the course of 5 minutes but everything was piping hot when it came out. Everything was delicious - even the self-proclaimed falafel "snob"was impressed by the moist falafel!

We're always on the lookout for interesting grocery stores to visit. After a friend recommended…read morethis store for the bakery and restaurant, we decided to stop in over the weekend. We found the grocery side of the store to be a bit dingy with a heavy smell of cigarette smoke inundating the air. The produce didn't seem very fresh, with moldy blackberries, bruised grapes and wilted greens. There were a few great deals, but we ended up not picking up anything after inspecting the fruits and vegetables. With the produce being in such a sorry state, we shudder thinking about the quality of the raw meats here. The patrons mainly congregate around the bakery and kitchen, where EverFresh has a hot prepared foods counter, several ovens pumping out fresh bread, and two spits of fresh shawarma. There were quite a number of workers in the back cooking food and baking fresh bread. As we were quite full from lunch, we only picked up the single item that was recommended by my friend. The food took around 10 minutes to come out and as we were waiting, we saw a steady stream of customers come in to order and pick up bread. Arayes ($8) - This is not on the menu, but if you ask for it, they will make the arayes fresh for you. This consists of a flat 8 inch commercial pita, stuffed with a seasoned meat patty, red bell pepper, and cilantro. When eaten fresh, the pita has a bit of a crunch especially on the outer edges, but it gets soggy pretty quickly due to the excess moisture on the veggies/herbs on the interior. Eat it quickly if you don't want it to get too floppy (3/5). The arayes is served with hummus and pickles on the side. The hummus is pretty coarse and lemony, but seasoned well. Not the best hummus, but better than anything pre-packaged (3/5). The pickles add a nice acidity to balance out some of the fattiness of the meat. This review is purely for the bakery and restaurant inside the market. I would never recommend the grocery section of this store, which would be a 2/5 at max. Now the problem is that the restaurant probably uses the produce and meats from the store which is a bit concerning.... The food tastes good enough, but I'm honestly not sure I would recommend going here given the state of the produce. Overall rating of the food this visit: 3/5

If you're not down to be around a crowd, don't go on Wednesdays. They are really great for their produce, as well as Halal meat, nuts, and spices. I also like olive oil imported from Greece, and they stock it. You can also get unique cheeses and middle eastern yogurt. The good news, is for those looking for "American" ingredients, you can find them there as well. The bummer-in the refrigerated section they don't do the best job with keeping an eye on dates. For example, I purchased some boiled chickpeas and they were bad (spoiled). Some of the tabouli salad lacked brightness and looked like it was time to get off the shelf. The staff has always been friendly with me, and the lines move very fast. Another bummer is the parking lot. It's CRAZY and I've almost been in so many accidents there. Be very very careful.

I told him I did not buy any bulghur, only masri rice and bulk chick peas listed at 0.49c/lb. The owner heard me and rushed over. The chick peas are not 49 cents he stated. "That was a sale and the sale ended yesterday." I said well if the sale ended, then remove the sign that says 49cents/lb. He answers "Ma Bady" meaning I don't want to. Instead of being worried that his cashier was charging me an additional $3 that he may be pocketing, he is arguing over a few cents in the cost of the chick peas. This owner needs a lesson in customer service.

I probably wouldn't have known they existed had I not received a local flier in the mail, so A+ for their marketing to get the word out! I noticed lots of brands I pay a hefty premium for at Westborn Market, so my wallet was more than willing to give Pelham a visit. The exterior of the building gives off a "liquor store" vibe, so keep a close eye to realize you're at your destination. The space is very open. It is not laid out like a normal grocery store, meaning it's got an open-concept versus miles of aisles. It's a fairly small space but not nearly as cramped as Westborn. You can pretty much figure out which direction to go from the front door. Pelham Market has a great selection of fresh veggies and fruits, all at reasonable prices. We were excited to see Sunset tomatoes, which are usually only sold in big-box stores. Everything on our fruit and veggie list was available here. If you're looking for a super-huge selection of organic-this and exotic-that, you won't find it here. But you will find the basics. The meat counter was well-stocked with some of my favorite brands including Boar's Head, Dearborn brand and Delallo. We picked up some delicious Delallo smoked turkey for only $4.99/lb, versus the cheapest turkey at Westborn for $6.99/lb. When you take your lunch to work every day, you'll really love the $2 difference per pound. Besides meats and cheeses, they also had a large selection of fresh salads, hummus, veggies and dips. They had very fair prices in their meat cooler as well. There are only two registers! So, if this place gets busy, I'm sure it'll be a pain to wait around. Luckily there were only a few people in line when we were ready to check out. The process of getting out was quick and painless! There was even an employee there to bag our items. Our shopping trip was about $20 less than we've been spending at Westborn. Sure, Pelham Market may not have 100 fancy cheeses or 12 varieties of canned tomatoes, but Jacob and I were more than pleased with their offerings of our weekly essentials.
