They have cone choices they aren't free its an extra 2 dollars for the cone. To me thats crazy, the single scoop was over 9 dollars. The price is high, but we decided to try it out. So I chose the NY cheese cake, it had good flavor. Some others said their choice was way too sweet they couldnt eat very much. Sizing is a bit different. So just plan on paying a chunk for a single scoop. I wanted a cone but couldnt see paying extra for something like that. Decent ice cream spot located in a food hall, but I feel like the ice cream is too pricey relative to the portion and quality. I ordered a single scoop of ice cream and it was $8.50 and that's without the cone. They do let you choose up to 2 flavors though. You are also able to sample the flavors. I was also given the option to add a topping for $1, but none of the toppings offered were appealing. I ended up getting the NY Strawberry Cheesecake and Brown Sugar Banana flavors after sampling the ice cream. The strawberry ice cream was delicious and had a great strawberry flavor. Also loved the cheesecake bits in it. The banana ice cream was good too, but it was a bit icy. The service was okay, but the servers weren't very friendly. They also don't offer free water cups, but you can get them for free at the visitor booth in the hall. Overall, this was an okay option for ice cream. Went in tonight with my son and ordered an "itty bitty" size for myself. The staff accidentally gave me a single scoop instead -- probably five times the size I'd ordered -- and when they went to charge me, I let them know I'd only ordered the itty bitty so I wouldn't get billed for their mistake. Instead of just letting me keep the ice cream (which I'd already taken a bite of), they took it back and handed me a tiny itty bitty scoop instead. The one they took was headed straight for the trash -- there was no way they were going to resell or reuse it. It would've cost them nothing to just let me keep it, and instead it came across as petty rather than good service. Rori's is located in front as soon as you walk inside the Santa Barbara Public Market. They have so many unique flavors that it was hard to choose just one, so I ended up getting three. Unfortunately they only had menu options for 1-2 scoops so they had to customize this for me. The flavors I got were all really good - honey almond crunch, pistachio black pepper, and english toffee with toaste pecans. I love that every purchase qualifies for a Chilly Dog (ice cream for dogs) - my dog LOVED his chilly dog, and it lasts a long time too if you don't let your dog lick it up in one sitting! I do think their prices are really high for ice cream ($8.50 for 1 scoop of ice cream??) but the scoops are pretty big and they taste delicious. And the problem was, if you want I can sell you two doubles but no the pint; and I'm pretty sure it was because of the price, she told us, you can pick another flavor because right now we have 2 pints for $25, we didn't knew about this until she told me. Honestly, ice cream is amazing. My boyfriend and I drove about 2 hours to have a day in SB and this was on our list to try. I am a huge fan of honey lavender so had to get it when I saw it as a flavor listed. My issue here is that the girls working were really rude. My boyfriend and I came up when there was no one around and just asked for some samples. The girl was giving a bit of an attitude but I figured maybe she just finished a rush of customers so I tried not to mind it. We came a few minutes before closing (and dafter dinner from Los Agaves) and the staff were friendly and efficient. I ordered the Brown Sugar Banana and the Honey Almond Crunch. Our last night in Santa Barbara we stopped here for a sweet treat after watching the sunset at Butterfly Beach. This was the Montecito location. It is a very tiny shop, but the service was super friendly and considerat. The young woman working let my kids know that a single actually had two scoops, so they didn't need the double to get 2 flavors. A lot of places don't do this for singles and wouldn't have mentioned they could go with the less expensive option if they wanted to. My son had the root beer float flavor, my husband and I tried the brown sugar banana and the dark chocolate, and my daughter had the mint. Everything was wonderful! The mint was especially interesting, it tasted like fresh mint with chocolate and a bit of sugar added. My favorite thing about this experience was honestly how unpretentious it was.
