Wish I could put 0 stars... I have been having a leak since Thanksgiving... The smell of mold and mildew has creeped into my home and I have 2 small children. My husband and I looked into this company to help us identify where the leak was. The first job was rescheduled 5 days later to identify if we had a leak and from where. Roroman came and said he couldn't do the job because of the concrete slab and recommended us to another person who had the equipment to identify the leak through concrete slab. We had to wait until after the winter break to schedule time for the leak to be repaired we planned to put in a new tub/walls since the leak was located below and Roroman said he would assist us. Well today was our scheduled repair and the new tub was to be put in. We planned a week in advance to have our children and in law sleep over other families homes while the repairs were to be done, we had a brand new tub sitting in our living room and our 8am appointment turned into a 830 "I forgot, I have other jobs right now" and Roroman hung up the call. This was so unprofessional and has put us in an extended hardship. Thank you Roroman for not providing services at 100% satisfaction guaranteed like your website states wasting valuable time and providing such a disappointment to me and my family. So, after Roroman worked on my garbage disposal, I noticed that there seemed to be water leaking under the sink. Pretty badly. So I called, (this was several days later) and he came over promptly to fix what I thought was a mistake. He said it was part of his quality guarantee, no problem. Turned out, the disposal work was find, this was something else with my dishwasher. (No no error in his work with the disposal, which was good.) It was great to have the no-hassle guarantee with the previous work. Particularly, I appreciated that he took the time to answer my questions and educate me about the systems I had questions about. (I like to understand what's going on.) As always, he was courteous, definitely go right to work--no dilly-dallying, and the leak was fixed no-hassle. Saw the good review and called The answering service said she didn't know if he was available tonight but promised he would call either last night or this morning. At 9am this morning, we called back. They didnt seem to know we had even called. Was again promised Jose would call us. It's now 1:30pm, no call, nothing. You know, I'm aware that emergency appts cost more and we would have been fine with that. Jose does great work. I recently moved into a home and discovered a big water leak when the carpet was being replaced. I called him up since he was recommended from my in-laws as doing great work at a good price. He came out and fixed the leak plus a couple of other leaks that he discovered had not been fixed that the previous owners were supposed to fix. He definitely cares about his customers and remembers them. I recently ran into him at a store, a good month after he did the job for us, and asked me how the repairs were holding up. He called less than a day before we supposed to start the project per our agreement and said that he needs to raise the price by 40% which is way above all other bids. I can't believe someone can make such mistake unintentionally. The tactic is to underbid and than raise the price when you are already in. DONT CALL JOSE!!!! Received estimate of 160.00 to install toilet I purchased. Jose came out and place toilet, then removed toilet to leave to purchase hose connector. When he returned all of a sudden he informed me the flange was broken. Funny wan not broken first time he placed toilet and discovered hose did not fit. When he said 195.00 to replace flange I assumed he meant that was total price.Took him 8 minutes to replace flange. WAS I SURPRISED WHEN HE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL 195.00 FOR A TOTAL OF 330.00 TO PLACE A TOILET I HAD PURCHASED!!! And i found out part was only a few dollars when i went to price for myself. Since my husband and I bought our house in 2011, we've needed several plumbing jobs done, and we've had them all done by Roroman plumbing. Jobs have ranged from major (replacing gas lines and the water heater when we first moved in, and later fixing a drain pipe leaking inside the wall) to minor (leaking under the sink) and they have done all of the jobs with the same care and attention to detail. I've been very pleased with their customer service. It's easy to communicate with them--they call back when they say they will and arrive to do the work on schedule. They have sent a couple different plumbers to our house, and they have all treated us with the same courtesy. When at my home, they are careful to take off or cover their shoes and to clean up any mess that may be caused when they're doing the job. When we had a mysterious issue with our water pressure, they showed me what they did to diagnose the issue and explained the repair that would have to be made, and I appreciated that they were willing to take the time so that I would know what was going on. When it comes to prices, I'll admit that I haven't done a lot of shopping around for quotes for the jobs I've needed done, but I haven't felt the need when their prices have always seemed reasonable to me. There have never been any hidden fees--the quote they give before beginning the job is the total price including both labor and supplies. They don't charge a fee just to come out to diagnose the issue either, which I've run into with other companies in the past. Jose is a super nice guy and a good plumber when he gets to working. His process to get the job done is slow, but he does what is needed. There are still issues with my kitchen sink draining, but it eventually clears. Now the dishwasher from prehistoric times (worked 3 or 4 times in almost 9 years!), is still full of moldy, stinky old dishwater from the clogged sink, and it is not even hooked up! So I called Kinetico company & I told them that I have an emergency situation since the system is leaking so bad & water is wasted from leakage. And they said they don't have availability to send someone & instead they told me that the earliest they can do is on August 9th. That point I accepted it better than none. Jose's reference was given to me by another plumber as someone who would install my new water softener, as not all plumbers will. He came out to give me a quote within a day or two and I believe his quote was fair. Jose did a really nice job of installing the softener but what really stood out is Jose's work ethic and his guarantee. After I paid him I realized he had forgotten to install a hose bib and a small leak developed. I figured I was screwed, but NO! I have been having a problem with my toilets and pipes all weekend. The first plumber came out on Saturday and we though he fixed the problem. On Sunday the problem was even worse. The same plumber came again got on the roof again and used his snake. This morning the problem was still there. So after two trips out. Shit coming out of my tub, and everything clogged up we called RoRo Man. Very horrible and unprofessional my rental property has a main line leak located outside the property I called Jose at 10 p.m. I was told he would arrive within one hour he did not arrive until 2:30 a.m. The next morning on top of it his wife knocks on my front door at 230 in the morning to fix a problem that was located outside they didn't even have to enter into my unit to fix the problem his wife asked they use my power at 230 in the morning waking me up out of my sleep when I had to be to work at 530 in the morning they are very unprofessional with a very slow response time read more

We originally hired Roroman Plumbing in January 2013. Due to a recent event, I've decided to add my review now. In January 2013 we moved in to our new (old) house. Within a week, our toilets were slow to drain and we could hear water in our sewer pipes under the house. When I called Roroman, a man named Carlos called me back. Upon arrival, Carlos first told me about his 16 years of experience as a plumber. Then he told me the owner, Jose, was stuck at Lake Tahoe because his car broke down. After looking at our issue, Carlos called Jose and then quoted us $1,200 for two cleanouts to be installed in our house. Carlos could not tell me where the stoppage was or that the $1,200 would fix our issue. We went back and forth and he ultimately snaked our line through a toilet drain, found nothing, and installed a new toilet for $300. The next day, our tub and shower filled with black sewer water, which was worse than before we called Roroman. I immediately stopped payment on the $300 check because I couldn't get a hold of Jose. Jose finally responded to my calls and began lecturing me about how the $1,200 cleanouts Carlos tried to sell me would have "saved me money." Not sure how spending $1,200 is saving. Jose finally agreed to come look at the issue in person. When he arrived, he made the comment that his company had already spent too much time at our house. At that point, Carlos had performed about an hour total work for the $300 we paid. Jose diagnosed our problem as tree roots in our sewer pipe. His estimate: $6,000 for a new sewer pipe. We went back and forth and he agreed that he could install a cleanout where our main sewer pipe was to snake our main. Upon digging, a cleanout was discovered hidden under the dirt of a flower bed. Jose snaked the line, cleared the roots, and charged us $400 for that days work. I wrote him a new check for $700 to cover both days work and instructed him to not cash the original check. He cashed the $700 check immediately. Last week (March of 2014, 15 months after performing the work) the original $300 check cleared my bank account. According to the bank, the stop payment is only good for 1 year because checks are only legal for 6 months. I was also informed that it was illegal for Jose to cash that check since it was beyond 6 months old. Essentially Jose broke the law. I will ultimately get our money back but it goes to show the character you are dealing with with Jose and his company. The best part is when our line clogged again, I paid a different company $99. They snaked the line and used a camera to determine the problem was on the city's property. I called the city and they fixed the issue free. Jose would have sold me $1,200 worth of cleanouts and a $6,000 sewer pipe. read more

I had some issue with my garbage disposal and some water damage under my kitchen sink. Was looking for a handyman to handle both issue, but with no luck. Took a chance on calling a plumber. I called Roroman Plumbing, and lucky for me he was in the neighborhood. Showed up within 30 minutes, and replaced my garbage disposal within 30-45 minutes. I had also a minor issue with my dishwasher, which he took a look and fix for free. Jose was very helpful,patient, and very professional. I know it hard to find an honest service provider, (plumbers,mechanics,handyman,etc). With a few 1 STAR rating I see, I would recommend them to have better commuication with calling customers back. I would be upset too if I took the day off and there was a no show on any service provider that I had made an appointment with.
