I got the Mitsubishi mini-split installed at a decent price and it looks and works great. Know that the cell phone cannot operate the mini split app unless your phone has 2.4G capability. The installation was good but... 1. A remote control was placed between a light switch and the door. You need to turn on the light before you use the remote, preferably w/o scraping your knuckles. 2. A pile of trash was left behind. I forgave that since the three men worked hard for more than 8 hours. 3. After they did wiring in my attic, insulation started falling through the kitchen ceiling vent. I pointed it out and the installer vacuumed the vent from below. I said it would be better to blow it, but he said it would be fine. It continues to fall down thru the vent. 4. Old HVAC vents were blocked to keep the warm air in and cold air out, but they left a big one in the old HVAC closet. Also, they capped the gas pipe inside the closet, so there are two holes to the outside. I could have made the closet look finished if they had capped the pipe below the house. 5. The way they inserted the cable ducts through the foundation air vent was poor. Rodents can now enter. 6. Poor oversight and communication. I wanted easy things corrected that would take 20min. "Mark" promised someone would get back to me...they never did. I called/texted about 5 times. Finally he stopped responding. UPDATE: The Yelp review prompted a call from Mark. He asked the foreman Zach to call me and address the problems. Zach called, said someone was in my area and would be by within 30 min. No one showed. No one called or texted. I will take a start off for poor oversight. read more

I bought this AC and heater unit from Cozy home services. Mark the sales guy sold me on this unit with the promise that I would get my rebates before I made my first payment and it's been almost a year. I've made numerous calls to cozy homes and to Mark and still have not had my issues resolved. The workers did good work and I had a few issues that they came out ASAP to fix, I was hoping this would be resolved this rebate before I sent my review in, but it has not. I think there are better companies out there to use, but I chose this one because I live in Vacaville and wanted to use a local company. So this is just a warning. The sales guys need to make their quota to get paid if this issue ever gets resolved, I will redo my review. I have an update, Jason the owner of Cozy home called me and took care of the problem it wasn't Cozy home fault it was the company that provides the rebates and the go green funding. Very impressive .. I called several contractors to install a high-end Bradford White gas water heater. I spoke to a Mark Grant at Cozy Home. Mark is impressive. He has a strong technical knowledge of water heaters, including furnaces and air conditioning. He told me all the rebates available. He knows all the new laws and when they take effect for gas & electric water heaters. He even knew the permit requirements specific to my Rio Vista. He told me all my options, including their advantages & disadvantages. He did not pressure me. He made sure I knew all my options. Then he sat back and gave me time to decide. Once I decided, Mark sent out a Jose & Aaron to install my Bradford White water heater. Jose is a craftsman who takes pride in his job. He pays attention to the finer details. He wants the finished job to look professional. I watched him work. He did an outstanding job. He and his assistant, Aaron, work efficiently. Aaron anticipates what tools Jose needs and hands him the tool before he even asks. Like Mark, Jose is very personable. He explained to me how to relight the gas pilot light if it ever went out. He was patient. He made sure I understood how to do this. They cleaned up nicely after they were finished. I had read many positive reviews about Cozy Home Services before selecting them. Jose Aaron and Gael did a terrific job on the install of a new heat pump system. The old furnace was up in the rafters and they got it out with no problems. They were respectful and hard working and Jose communicated well with us. We chose cozy home because of Mark the salesman. He was by far the most knowledgeable of 3 different companies who quoted our job. Cozy home was the middle of 3 prices, but with it being a Mitsubishi system I didn't expect the bottom dollar. The only down side is the proprietary thermostat, I'm not a fan. I would like to switch back to the old thermostat we had. read more

Update: They took care of all pending items and Jason followed up to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. Update: They were able to get my AC back up and running by replacing the control board. Xavier was the tech that came out to complete the work. He called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way and was prompt and professional. Just need them to figure out my city inspection now which I haven't received an update on. Update: I'll add a star since Jason reached out to me shortly after my post to let me know he's getting involved and will see what he can do for me in the morning. Hopeful they can get my system up and running tomorrow. I'll update the review accordingly. Beyond frustrated! I spent over $16,000 on a brand-new HVAC system, and just two months later, it's already not working. From start to now, this experience has been filled with miscommunication and missed follow-through. To start on a positive note--the presentation was great. The sales rep was straightforward, answered all my questions honestly, and even mentioned they'd help me with the SMUD rebate. After reviewing five other bids, I decided to move forward with Cozy Home. Installation Day: The crew realized only then that the new system would be wider than my existing unit, partially blocking access to my sliding glass door. This was something I should have been informed about beforehand (as one of the techs even admitted). They offered other placement options, but those would have blocked other usable spaces in my backyard. In the end, I accepted the less-than-ideal setup with a small discount for the inconvenience. Fast forward 2 months: The system completely stops working. I waited four days for a technician, who spent five hours troubleshooting, only to conclude that the control board needed replacement because it wasn't "compatible" with the GE system. How is it possible that it worked for two months and now suddenly isn't compatible? I was told someone would call me by the end of the day to schedule a repair for the next morning. That call never came. With a child who has asthma that can be triggered by heat--and triple-digit weather approaching--this is not something that can be brushed off. Their hours state they're open until 7 pm, yet when I called multiple times between 6:15 and 6:30, I only reached voicemail. On top of that, I'm still waiting for updates on the city inspection results--something I was told they'd follow up on over a week ago. Still no call back. They may be fine when it comes to repairs, but when it comes to system replacements, I regret not going with another company. I sincerely hope the owner sees this review and steps in, because the way this has been handled so far feels completely unprofessional. I understand the season is busy, but there's only so much patience I can extend when thousands of dollars and my child health is on the line. read more

After Juan had installed my Nest for free as a courtesy for getting an estimate, I made the decision to get a whole house fan from Cozy Homes. I also had issues early on with my water main shut off frozen because of hard water, as well as some trouble with the toilet shut offs so I decided to get a whole house water purification system. Jason the owner came to do the estimate for the water purification and gave me a package deal for the fan and filter. The filter system was one big cylinder, which takes up less space than some multi stage systems I saw online. Cozy Homes supports local sports teams and has a great reputation, so I made the investment. Jose and Steven showed up within the 2 hour time window and were quick, efficient, and super courteous. James showed up to help finish the job and everything was done in a day- they even removed the under sink filtration system from the previous owner. So we had 4 companies come out to give an estimate to replace our central heating and air conditioning system. The first 3 came out looked at what we had and left. They didn't say much while they were here just that they would put an estimate together and get back to us. Jason at cozy introduced himself at the door shook my hand and gave me his card. All things the other 3 companies did not do. Then he walked me through each step and explained everything they would do on the day they come back to do the job. He was very professional and a pleasure to talk to. Today was the day to have the system installed yes by Cozy Home Services. Their crew showed up on time and got to work right away. Jose introduced himself to me at the front door. He was professional and knowledgeable. The other guys James, Steven, and Gustavo were also nice and professional. There were a couple other guys here as well but I didn't get their names. The entire crew worked hard and seemed to be there for each other to help one another whenever possible. When they finished the install they walked me through the new system and even helped me load it on my cell phone. They were efficient and clean and well organized. A great group of guys. As for the price Cozy was not the lowest priced but Cozy added a few things the other companies didn't offer. Sometimes you should pay a little more for excellent quality, and service. I'm a member of cozy home after great experience with them on installation of a new hot water pump and hard start kit for my A/C over a year ago. Had first appointment for normal maintenance on the A/C and hot water pump and had another great experience! Kolby was very knowledgeable and performed tests on the air temp coming out of my A/C vents in the house and explained to me how the unit works. He was very patient and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He did mention a water softener/purifier for my home. It's a recommended job since we have such hard water out here. He explained the benefits but respected the fact that we need to pay off our solar first.
