My water heater took a dive and these guys came out to install a new one... upon further inspection my old heater was too tall the pipes weren't done correctly it was a hot mess (which was confirmed by these guys as well as two friends) the whole thing had $$ written all over it. These guys came out gave me a fair price, ordered the new water heater because it was a unique size and installed it fixing all the mess the old one had. This is actually the second time I've had them out... the first time was when my garbage disposal started leaking, they came out took care of the is old disposal and installed a new one and the eased my mind about the water damage. A pest inspection turned up a broken sewer pipe under our home. I called Affordable and the guys came to assess the problem. They determined what needed to be done, came back the next day with supplies and promptly got to work. It was a big enough job that it took two days, and was done as quickly as the situation allowed. Hi there! Barney is NO longer running the show, and I have been relying on him and ALEX for SO many years ( 12/15 years). I needed a plumber for my upstairs bathroom, so, of course I called Barney's...the technician who replied is Matt. He also had a young man with him, who was NOT introduced. Maybe, he was an apprentice? I Dont know. I needed a 8 inch faucet installed, and Matt also had to do some " EXTRA" WORK, because the previous technician jerry-rigged it...anyway, it cost me $390...!!! I Paid $159 for the faucet...so, I feel this was excessive. I know, for a fact, that I WOULD NOT have been charged this much if it was Barney or Alex... Not sure that I will call Matt again...I really think that he should have introduced the young man, whether he was learning, or an apprentice...whatever! Just a suggestion. . read more

Called about a garbage disposal repair. Technician came out and after turning it on and off told me I'd need to replace the entire unit for ~$480. He did not even try to repair it. After googling home repair, I used an allen wrench to manually turn the grinder. This dislodged whatever was stuck and it works great now. Would not trust Barneys Affordable Plumbing. Took me 2 mins to fix something Baryneys Affordable Plumbing said couldn't be fixed. read more

Many folks have tried to solve this and no one has been able to fix this intermittent issue. I called Barneys to install a new hot water valve. Barney sold to Matt. Matt is a good guys. Matt at Affordable Plumbing has been to the house 4 times recently... I had a lot of repairs. first visit, we discovered a leak at the main supply to the house. Not sure who creatively plumbed this area, but Matt cleaned it up and left me with two hose bibs in front and replaced a couple leaking in the back yard. He also fixed the toilet. Second visit... new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal and made sure the sewage line was clear from the kitchen. Emergency visit.... Sewage back for the bathrooms. Let Matt know we had a problem. He prioritized us and stopped by before his first appointment. Besides waste, he found a hose part that had been in the bathroom waste line for year! Finally, Matt replaced our 25 year old water heater. Why is Matt my choice... first he is local. I didn't want a plumbing company from another county. From helping replace a kitchen faucet and leaking cartridge valves in the showers (hard water of Vacaville), to a last minute installation of a water heater. Our water heater was acting up the week between Christmas and New Years. I called Barney's Affordable Plumbing and Alex was at my house in less than an hour. He pointed out our water heater was still under warranty and told me exactly what parts needed replacing so I could request them from the company.
