Was a little confused at first, but the groomer is inside NYC pet. Rosa answered right away for a consult I had regarding my labradoodle. He got wet and wasn't dried all the way, there for ending in terrible mats. I knew he was going to need to be shaved, so I already had that expectation- the lady was able to keep some length especially on his head, which was really nice. If you've ever seen a shaved labradoodle- I'm telling you, totally different dog haha. Left very happy. Great communication. read more

i would definitely recommend this grooming location. I called to get an appointment last minute, and they were able to see me later that day. My 4.5 lb poodle was a bit matted after a summer of swimming and not proper brushing on my part. I was so worried they were going to have to shave her completely, but they didn't! They were able to leave the exact amount of hair I showed from a reference picture from a previous grooming. She looks amazing! Only (small) caveat is the grooming was a bit pricey ($90 before tip). But this is definitely standard for new york groomers. Finished her in around 2 hr 40 min. Would recommend and bring my dog back here! read more

Very unprofessional. After several days of waiting for an appt, Rosa(grooming manager) finally calls me to go in immediately and bring my dog @ 4pm. I went in, I was told that they would call me back when the groom was done. Now, 4hrs later after receiving no call, I went in to see what was happening only to find out that my dog was right where I left him with no food, no water, and not groomed. Never again. read more

Okay so I gave this place 4 stars only because the manager communication skills simply sucks! Quick example she gave me an option of three available time slots within 1 minute I choose an option she then texted me back 20mins later stating the time I chose was unavailable. If my dog could review, he would, but he sent me to do his bidding. My 9 year old Pomeranian, Killer, (yes, Killer..the most he will do is lick you to death) was in dire need for a summer cut. After he left his previous groomer anxious, scared, and withdrawn; I knew that I had to find a new groomer. A friend referred me to bring him to Rosa, who turned out to be so wonderful I am sad I hadn't found her sooner!!! First off, finding it might be tricky. This place is located in the back of a pet store, NYC Pet. It works out if your four legged friend wants to shop afterwards. If only they had grooming and shopping consolidated for humans. HA! The great thing I love about this place is that when you walk into the glass room, there is a cute little fence that encloses the grooming area, but it is in plain sight and you can see how they take great care of their furry clientele here. The previous groomers I have been to take them to the mysterious back room where you can't see anything and your dog can't see you. Killer gets nervous when I leave him in a strange places. I guess you could call him a major mama's boy. When she began grooming him, he was quite at ease to be able to see I was nearby. In no time at all, he forgot I was there and I was starting to think he found a human girlfriend. He was in love with her! He is usually very fussy and will be a stubborn brat, but for her he was being very good. Killer got the works and got the "Boo" cut with a lion tail, a shower, anal glands, and his nails cut. I was so impressed at how well his cut came out. It was the best haircut he has had in his 9 years! She even cleaned out his ears and trimmed the inside very well; that which is something that many groomers tend to ignore, overlook, or just don't do it well. I was pleased that the hair was very evenly trimmed in all areas and a week later, it has grown out very well. Okay, so I had to travel to the other side of Brooklyn, but I will continue to do so in order to make my dog happy. It is SO important to trust your groomer. After all, you drop them off with this person for hours and even though your dog cannot speak, you will always just know whether or not your dog likes someone. Rosa truly cares about animals and you can tell by the way she connects with them and speaks to them soothingly. She was so gentle with him and his opinion of her truly showed. He used to be shaky after leaving the other groomers and anxious to go home to sulk in his bed. After his session with Rosa, he kept trying to go back into the store! He was so happy and perky, I was surprised at his behavior. It was clear Killer felt good about himself and he was strutting his stuff like he was a model. Then, he was trying to follow her around like they're new best friends. He gets clingy and I tell him the girls don't like that, but he doesn't listen. What can I say, the boy's in love. BOTTOM LINE: Rosa is amazing! My dog and I are so happy. It was money well spent and her prices are reasonable. However, for the great experience and Killer's happiness, I feel like that makes it a great deal. You will not regret bringing your four legged best friend here. read more

I've given these ppl like 3 chances with my dog, but this was the last straw. It started out fine- mediocre grooming job, but it was at a decent price. Second time they had my dog for over 4 hours... she was just sitting in a kennel for most of the time because they overbooked. WHY would you do that? If that's the case, call me and tell me! I could've come later and kept my dog for being stuck in a kennel for 3 hours. Third time- same thing with overbooking, but the worst part was that my dog ended up with a skin infection 2 days after. I don't know wtf they did, but I ended up with my dog feeling miserable, an expensive vet bill, and 2 weeks of medicated shampoo and antibiotics for my dog. DO NOT GO HERE read more

Made an appt and groomer doesn't show up. The worker at the store calls Rosa the groomer. She answers and says she never scheduled an appt. Made me seem like I was crazy. After I was excited when she said she works everyday. She first said she does not schedule on sundays. Then she said if I was sure I spoke with her because she use to have a groomer that worked on sundays and her last excuse was that she had one person schedule for the same day but they cancelled. My girl Cholly has been looking fabulous since our recent move to Bushwick thanks to Roro's! Catherine usually grooms her and always gives her the best cuts shes had since I got her. My mother was a dog groomer for 15 years so I can be a bit particular but Cholly always looks perfect after her grooming! The price is great especially for my dog's breed. I could not say anything bad about Rosa. She is so great with my dog, he loves her (genuinely... he has his happy face on and isn't anxious at all) and she always makes great recommendations for products. I have been going to her for over a year and a half when I lived in Bushwick and even though I now live in the UWS, I still travel to Bushwick to get my dog groomed. Rosa is every pet owner's heroine! She is the stylist at Roro's, and has a Dog Whisperer way with animals. Even when my dog needs the occasional eye or ear drops, Rosa is the only person she will allow to apply the drops. The neighborhood pets love Rosa, and they all leave looking and feeling fabulous. Thank goodness she's there. I've tried other places nearby, and they're not bad, but once we discovered Rosa, there was no one else good enough! She even lets me text on the day of a potential bath, to make sure we can agree on a time. Rosa can do a simple bath (includes toothbrushing, ear and anal cleaning, essential for health), or a great Furminator bath: a godsend for de-shedding dogs!
