We are so lucky and thankful to have Groom-Groom as a service. It's easy to text for an appointment and they're very responsive. When we started with Groom-Groom it was the first grooming appointment our now 6mo old pup went to and we couldn't be happier. They make the process so simple by coming directly to us. They usually park their van around our block which makes for easy access and text on arrival and when our pup is ready for pick up. Payment options have been via Apple Pay or Venmo, which we love. Now, on to the service: We've had Carlos and Stephanie as our groomers and they take the best care of our fur baby. They really listen to what our needs are and our pup comes out looking (and smelling) his best. They're so friendly and always a pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough about how happy we are! I've been a loyal customer of Groom Groom for a couple of years, but my latest experience was disastrous. The groomer, Victor, was by far the worst I've ever encountered. I strongly advise against letting him touch your pet. My dog returned with a deep cut on his paw, which looked like it was done in a rush. Protect your pet from this groomer! Do not allow him to come close to your fur baby! I spoke to him over the phone and he wasn't concerned at all. He brushed me off like it's a normal day for him extremely RUDE! read more

If I could rate this business solely based on Theo, the groomer, this would be a glowing 5-star review. He's incredibly skilled, kind, and always leaves my dog looking great. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience--particularly dealing with the owner, Alex--is a complete nightmare. Scheduling an appointment is like sending a message into the void. The only way to book is through text, but Alex is chronically unresponsive. I've had to chase him down with daily messages just to get a response weeks later. It's beyond frustrating and completely unprofessional. Today was the final straw. I had a confirmed appointment, planned my entire morning around it--and they never showed up. No text. No call. No update. Just total radio silence. Once again, Alex has ghosted me, which seems to be his default communication style. It's baffling how a business can be run with such disregard for customers' time and basic professionalism. The only reason I've put up with this for so long is because of Theo's exceptional grooming skills. But even that can't make up for the unreliable, disrespectful, and chaotic experience of trying to book through Alex. Groom Groom could be great--but as long as Alex is in charge of communication and scheduling, it's a total mess. About 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time, I received a text from the groomer, Karina, saying that she's outside in the van. I took my dog down, dropped him off, told Karina what I wanted, then about an hour later, I received another text saying that she's done. I paid via credit card on my phone when I picked up my dog. EDITED TO ADD--Alex the owner contacted me and was very professional in his approach and business practice. I've changed from 3 to 4 stars because of this. Thank you Alex for understanding and supporting your customers despite how the initial situation went Groomer arrived on time and was very professional, but he did not give both of our dogs equal attention. Our first dog took over 3 hours which was way too long to groom a dog. She gets groomed every 5 weeks so this is not a matted, not cared for pet. When she was done, we spoke to the groomer and he said he wanted to take his time, so we chalked it up to being the first time. But when we spoke to the owner, he said that she was difficult and we wanted a more special cut compared to other people. So that upset us, as if our request to cut her the same way she has been cut (shorter hair, puffy paws, with a top bow) was too much? She's a Shih Tzu this is an extremely common cut. Anyway, now my male dog goes to get cut and he's done in 45 minutes? Does that make any sense? How is one dog over 3 hours and the other 45 minutes? I can understand maybe 2 vs 1 hour but that's a huge difference. In addition, he was uneven on his body and ears, ears not plucked and we could tell he rushed chopping his hair all over to finish quickly. We even offered to cancel his session since the first dog took so long but he reassured us that it was fine. For $100 a dog, which we are happy to pay for a good service, we just had higher expectations. I reached out to the owner but didn't hear back, so I suppose he's not concerned. We had Groom Groom give our one year old Shih Tzu the works: bath, cut, and nails. Stephanie did a fantastic job. Unfortunately he had some matting and Stephanie was great at walking us through how she would approach the matted hair (and that the cut would be shorter than we originally wanted). She nevertheless did a great job and he looks great! We have had some bad experiences with brick-and-mortar groomers in the area, so it was great to see our pup was calm and happy when we picked him up from the van afterward. Had an amazing experience with Groom-Groom. He arrived close to on time (only 6 minutes late) and was very friendly. He explained the entire process to me and it took about an hour and 15 minutes. My dog came out looking perfect, which is amazing considering I couldn't explain what I wanted done. Needed to get my guys fresh and ready for the warmer weather. I was interested in Mobile grooming as one of my boys gets car sick. I found Groom-groom through a simple search. I sent a message through Yelp and received a call back same day. Was given a quote that I thought was fair and I set up the appointment. Was called by Alex the day before to confirm our appointment. Day of, Theo arrived and took such great care of my guys. I was very impressed with how well the van was equipped. I filled out a simple form and let Theo get to work. A little more than an hour later I picked up my first pup and he looked amazing! I was so happy as I was apprehensive leaving them in someone elses care. I brought him upstairs and came back down with my other guy. Again, after a little more than an hour he was ready to be picked up. They both looked and smelled amazing. The neck ties were a cute added bonus. Not even 10 minutes in the house had I already sung Theo's praises and referred some friends to him. I could not have asked for a better experience. BE AWARE. Theo Groomer Groomed our dog then she SLEPT FOR 2 DAYS straight for a 1 year old dog. SHE WAS SLEEPY, LETHARGIC. NOT RESPONSIVE TO TREAT. NOT NORMAL. UNACCEPTABLE. Let me start with we were very happy with Carlos as our groomer for a whole year since we have our dog in 2019. Carlos was the best w our dog's hair and he was super gentle with her. In Jan 2021 this year, unfortunately Carlos is on leave so we had to have our dog's hair cut by Theo. THAT'S WHEN THINGS TOOK A TURN. In Jan, Theo cut our dog's hair and she came back w asymmetrical face. See pic. She was acting funny and slow. We wanted to give the groomer the benefit of the doubt. In Feb, I showed Theo the exact cut Carlos would cut for our dog. Then she still came back w ASYMMETRICAL hair cut. (See the Carlo's cut as example then what we ended up getting) Aside from the cut being terrible, WE FOUND OUR DOG SLEPT for 2 DAYS STRAIGHT. This is not normal for a 1 year old dog. I contacted the owner Alex and he was adamant they don't offer any sedative. For the ones reading this review, I caution you sending your dog there w Theo. As every dog owner knows, they know if their puppy is off. For a dog that's only 1, why would she slept for 2 days straight w the eyes look like she was sedated. KEEP YOUR DOG SAFE. I've used them about 4 times. The woman is amazing, takes time and care with your pet. The guy is just in it for a quick buck and will hardly cut your dog at all or just shave him down. He shaved my Australian Labradoodle down along with the tail and charged me 150 bucks for an hour of work. Another time he barely trimmed him, again done in a little over an hour. My dog takes minimum 3 hours. I was very disappointed that he didn't even call to tell me that he was shaving my dog down completely. He does what he wants and is all about how many dogs he can get in and out for the day. Extremely annoyed. read more

Love these groomers. My dog is terrified of being groomed but they are so patient that I've never had a problem with my dog. In the past he's been cut and he gets diarrhea because he's so stressed. They're always on time or early, the truck is SPOTLESS and my dogs feel at ease with them.
