The food is absolutely amazing, the service was top-notch, and the owner cares about her customers and table touches the tables to ensure quality and service. Finally I found a place with superior country gravy!!!! I tried the gravy from copper pot and thought it was good but not after eating Rory's gravy. I found myself spooning it out until I got all of it. They have some sausage inside of it so it itself is a meal. I had the chicken and waffles and it was the best I had in Colorado! But the gravy is the best I've had period ever like ever ever. The town is really cute as well. The entrance is a little tricky. You have to enter what looks like the main entrance to the building and then hang a swift left. This place is so far my favorite place for breakfast. Try it. This morning I went to have lunch with a friend at Rory's Diner. We arrived around 11:30am on a Sunday, and only had a 10 minute wait. The host was very attentive when we walked in, greeting us in a friendly manner and letting us know about the short wait. As we waited, we looked over a menu that was available at the host stand. I noticed that as soon as people left a table, it was quickly cleaned so we didn't have to wait any longer than necessary. All of the staff we dealt with was terrific, especially our waitress, McKayla. She was attentive, friendly, and gave us her own recommendations when my friend was struggling with what to choose from. He went with the breakfast burrito that she offered and loved how spicy and large it was. I had the club sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich was split into 4 even pieces and it had a ton of flavor. I was very impressed and it definitely filled me up. This is a place that I'll visit again and again, so I can try more things on the menu like biscuits and gravy, the bbq bacon cheeseburger, and maybe even one of the many pies they had available! Good food, atmosphere is ok but could be a little more 50ish. So the portions are decent but not huge, some dishes are Hungry Man Style.... The Club Sandwich is a goto item for sure. The meat portions are huge and the rest of your bite is crisp and fresh. Fish and Chips are a must menu item as well. Bottom line is, you will not be disappointed giving Rory's a shot and it's in a really cozy location in Downtown Parker. Ok so, this first part doesn't reflect on the restaurant itself, but I just wanna set the scene. I'm on the very last 50-60 miles of the return trip of a solo drive from Pueblo (southern Colorado) to central Minnesota where I'm from, and back. Total distance driven is like 2,100 miles. It's Black Friday. Because of timing, I didn't get to have a single shred of Thanksgiving dinner this whole trip. I'm thinking yuummmm! I'm gonna stop over at a diner and have me a feast! Also I've been sick the whole return trip with a nasty chest cold so I'm just looking forward to this so hard... So I get to Rory's. Only diner I can see that's close. It's kind of hard to find right away, so that annoyed me, but whatever let that slide. I get in the place, and it's very small, kinda dumpy, seating not great, everything's just kinda blah... whatever that's fine. So I tell the waitress what the deal is, and I ask very politely if they can maybe throw something together that resembles thanksgiving dinner, you know... turkey, stuffing, mash potatoes. Do you think this is a crazy request? I mean... Thanksgiving was literally yesterday. I'm thinking ANY self respecting American diner is certainly going to have at least offered a Thanksgiving plate. Maybe the day before, if they weren't open on the actual day right? Anyway this waitress looks at me like I just asked her for a roll of toilet paper with a lit cigarette sticking out of it. It was like she had no idea what I was talking about, and she was like 40 years old. Anyway her brilliant solution to my question was to refer me to the Entrees section of the pre-existing menu... so I roll my eyes (in my mind), and look it over thinking, well ok I'm fucking starving, and I just wanna eat and get the fuck out of here. So I order the bison meatloaf because it came with mash potatoes, and veg, and I figure that's at least kind of a classic holiday food kinda? I guess? And I ordered a beer. She brings me the beer, and it straight up looks like somebody just took a sip out of it. It's got like a good inch of air at the top and no head... I'm like... ooookay. I considered asking her to fill it, but fuck that I thought. Food comes, and it looks like dog shit. Every single part of the plate looked like ass. I took one look at the "mashed potatoes" and thought... I didn't order scrambled eggs with my meatloaf. Food was dry, chunky, and bland, and depressing. Beer was flat as fuck. What a shitty shitty experience. Absolutely NOT worth $23. Sorry. I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because it's the holidays, and I'm feeling generous. read more

Rory's Diner and the staff are absolutely amazing. We had the privilege of celebrating my grandmother's 80th birthday at the diner. The food was delicious, all of the guests kept raving about their potato salad, milkshakes, and malts. If your looking for good food, good service, and a fun 50s style atmosphere- Rory's is the place to go. All of the servings were large and we ended up each taking home leftovers. That means we'll have to come back another time to try the pies, which looked delicious. Our food was a bit all over the place. The Monte Cristo sandwich was particularly good, especially the bread and the jam. The prime rib French Dip sandwich was bland and tasteless. The breakfast entree had perfectly cooked eggs but the toast was burned and inedible. The chocolate shake was terrific! We liked that they had an interesting variety of side dishes from which to choose, and the fries and fruit cups we had were good. Really great breakfast spot with creative flavors and lots of "from scratch" food. I had the biscuits and gravy and the gravy was some of the best I've ever had. I like the diced tomatoes and green onions garnished on top. The kids loved their food (biscuits and gravy and Belgium waffles) although the waffle portion was a tad on the small side for an adult menu item (3 small waffles). Wife had the breakfast quesadillas, which seemed to be a very popular item as many people around us ordered it too. The homemade salsa was incredible. Only complaint is we were seated near a door and it was very drafty. We had to wear our coats throughout breakfast. read more

I call to let them know and he says there's nothing he can do except refund that item even though the food isn't what we wanted with the pork green chili missing. I told the young boy host I didn't think those seats would work for us and he asked us to try, so we did. My youngest immediately fell twice and we walked out to get a real table. Tried this place while in town to see friends. We went on a Saturday night and the special was their prime rib (delicious), highly recommend it! The kids meals a large than what most places off (hot dog pic is the kids meal hot dog) everything we order was good sized and delicious. My friend ordered the club, it was large and looked good. The only bad thing was my baked potato was cold..I was too hungry to send it back. The place is small so if you have a large group keep that in mind. read more
