Ojo de Agua was hands down one of our favorite food finds in Mexico City. Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

Very fresh and affordable healthy options! We stopped in on a weekday afternoon after walking by…read moreearlier and seeing how packed it was. We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!

Visited Café Nin for brunch. Definitely book ahead or come early. Thank god I was solo because I…read morewas able to snag a seat at the bar pretty quickly. Started with a mimosa and the chia pudding. The fruit was super fresh and the bowl was surprisingly filling. Then I ordered the avocado toast with a side of bacon. The avocado was obviously fresh, but I wish it had a little more seasoning, and the brown sauce wasn't really my favorite. The bacon though? Cooked perfectly. The guava pastry was DELICIOUS! so good I had to grab another one to go. Service was good too, they move pretty quickly for such a busy spot. The ambience is really nice, with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating that gives rustic treehouse vibes. Overall, a really solid brunch spot with fresh ingredients, great pastries, and a beautiful atmosphere.

We were told the wait would be 30mins but it was over an hour. At some point the staff member removed our name from the list despite us standing right next to the door and waiting (and asking for updates) the whole time. The host was apologetic about this and tried her best to make up for it with a good table. Eventually we were seated and the menu was great. Really delicious food choices ranging from my Mexican flavors to more basic Western options. Scrambled eggs looked good, the piadina was delicious, as were the chilaquiles! Plenty of fresh juice options and pastries (from Rosetta)!
