I was called a little more than an hour before my daughter's 5pm appointment asking to push the appointment time back 1hour. I reluctantly agreed. When I arrived she sat my daughter and I in her garage/salon and asked us to wait 15 minutes while she wraps up on another client inside her house. After 45 minutes, we left. Very unprofessional. If I could give a zero now I would. I left a good review prior but my experience today made me take it all back. I scheduled an appointment to the edges of my braids touched up I called her yesterday to confirm an evening appointment for today. She even told me don't be late. I arrived there today an hour early and she was braiding someone's hair and said she couldn't take me until 10pm or tomorrow! I just confirmed with her yesterday! She said her daughter had an emergency and she got backed up on her schedule. I'm very understanding but couldn't I at least receive a phone call to let me know of all this before I drove twenty minutes to her house just to get turned away? I could have possibly found an alternative had she been courteous enough to call. In the meantime what am I supposed to do with my hair? Then she gives a half ass apology like I'm nothing. Oh well what's a girl to do? She does good ass work but she's very flaky. If you want someone reliable don't count on her. This is the second time she did this by the way. I've been going to Rose for 15+ years and I am never disappointed. I have watched her kids grow up. She was originally in a shop in Richmond, then her own shop in Stockton but she built her clientele up so well she does it from home in Oakley now. She is very quick and SHE DOES NOT RIP OUT YOUR EDGES. I don't allow anyone else to braid me because my hair grows with Rose and now days most braiders will blow dry your hair to save time and energy. Not Rose! She braids your hair in its natural state with no problem. I love her weaves also, she is not able to style and cut due to licensing but the install is on point and secure. read more
