Okay I'm honest. They were late opening my appointment was 9am no one was there. I had to call over and over again. The owner wasn't there kept saying they are there they see me. No they weren't there the young braider (didnt know she was a braider) comes walking around the corner as I pull off in confusion and leave. I went back and discovered the calm no sense of urgency walker was the braider. Now she was not experienced, I am a braider number 1 she cut the hair and tried to explain why. No No No. They cannot advertise braids by one person and stick you with a new braider. I was promised a second braider, she didnt show for hours. I was cringing because my appointment was at 9am by 945am i had 2 to 3 braids and she was not moving confidently. I would have gotta done in 12 hours if the second braider didnt show up 3 hours later. You could see the 2nd braiders face looking at the other braider's braid work. My back braid blunt cut other braids look right. I literally was cringing texting my sister to call the owner. Not sure how I feel about referrals unless I see who braiding. But all and all the second braider saved the day. the back is different shorter and blunt look. Also I helped braid my own hair down to leave faster. read more

Save your money -- I don't recommend. I went to get my hair done, and while it looked okay at first, it wasn't what I wanted. I decided to let it go, but later noticed some of my hair was coming out and a few braids were messed up. When I reached out, I was told it could be fixed, but after a lot of back and forth, delays, and no communication, I got fed up and stopped trying. It's very unprofessional and frustrating to pay so much money and still end up with bad service. Lesson learned -- I won't be booking here again or recommending this place. read more

I've been going to Kady for years and will keep coming back. Today my stylist was Astou and she did amazing! I got a boho bob with much less boho because I find that works better for me, she was fast and very kind. I can be a little bossy because I have a particular way I like it done and she was so sweet about it, everything was done perfectly and I couldn't be happier with this result. I got my hair done by TT at Kari's shop the exact date was June 2 at 8AM & she got done at exactly 2:35PM this hairstyle lasted until The end of August coming into September I was shocked but don't leave your hair in that long like I did lol It was worth it & I recommended my mom to come to the shop & this is my new shop since my African braider in SF retired & passed on. So I met a new family they're hella cool prices are worth it to me and they have hair they can also provide here as well . read more

The ladies do good work.. the problem is they're not allowed to talk to the customers, (I witnessed the owner reprimand an employee for talking to a customer) so they talk amongst themselves in French. As a customer it's very off putting. I don't know if they're talking about me or not, and the customer is left sitting in silence for the duration of their appointment while they chat and laugh. I absolutely loved my hair but I have sought out other Braiders I need a connection with the person who is caring for my hair. TWO DAYS.I was very excited to get my hair done. When I first came into the salon . The people except Nay was rude. However, since it was my first time there they gave me a rookie braider. My hair was 275.00 I was refunded 140. within two days I had two braids come out. I tried to reschedule. I came in 20 mins late. To do the whole back since they are coming out. Then. They tried to flip it well you are 20 mins late. Lol I don't need a whole schedule appointment. I need was about 8 knotless braids bob length. They were stuck on the fact that I was 20 mins late. Well actually initially I had to wait 25-30 mins for me to get my hair done. Waste of time and money. I do not recommend this place. The nice braids from the website are not recent. I enjoyed my hairstyle so much but for you to dwell on 20mjns meanwhile my hair is falling apart after two days is insane. After reading reviews I know I'm not the only one. Kadi claimed my hair was too soft and needed to be longer that's why the braids are coming out. They refused to give me a new braider. Nay was my braider sweet gal. She probably 16years. As you can see the owner not taking accountability. I enjoyed Nay but I can tell she's fairly new. I will not come back. I wanted to love this place. Update : I was not refunded the whole amount she claims. All I wanted was a redo do with knotless that's all. Sad part the owner claim I demanded the tips back but that's should have come out of her pockets. Not Nays. You have several shops why would you do that to your braiders. I have left great reviews in the past for Braids by Kadi, but this is quite the opposite. I had Lauren do my hair. She did a poor job and had me come back the next day to fix it. my natural hair length is down my back. instead of unbraiding the braids, she cut all of the braids on the left side of my head at cheek level. WTH? when I unraveled the cut braided hair to show her that she cut about 3 to 5 inches depending on the braid off of my natural hair, she reapinded.."sorry" and continued to undo my hair like she had pulled too tight rather than cutting off my hair that rook me YEARS to grow. Since they did not acknowledge that this was a problem, I asked the young lady in charge what they were going to do that could come close to rectifying what Lauren had done when cutting off my whole left side of hair when she should have just been unbraiding it.. Her response was to give a $50 discount. I had paid $200 the day before. I asked her , "If you were sitting here and I cut off the whole left side of your hair, would you feel that a discount of $50 would be OK with you?" She said," I am sure she didn't mean to cut your hair off. " I have been coming to Kadi's for many years. Usually, Kadi does my hair, but she has not been around since opening the Stockton location. I will make sure that I let everyone know what may be done to their hair and how they will be treated ....on Every platform. Every complaint I read was turned around to blame the customer. Let's see how this goes. The fact that All of my money was not refunded is crazy to me. That would be the LEAST that they could do! You CUT OFF my hair when scissors should have never been in your hands. Do NOT TRUST them eith your hair, ir to do right by you when they make a mistake like this. read more

I have been going to this braid shop for years. Over time it has been on a downward spiral. I customer service is horrible. I made an appointment for Friday evening, one hour before my appointment I received a text telling me that my appointment was canceled. I tried calling, I evening responded to the text message and no one answered. I had to call the next day inquiring about my appointment. There was no availability. I requested my refund and never even received an apology. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

A couple suggestions: 1. Use a secretary or someone who has time to return emails or phone calls to potential customers. 2. Immediately offer a refund of the customer's deposit when attempts to reach the business were made but did not get received by the business. Extremely upset about this re-twist . My husband took our son to get his red hair re-twisted for school pictures and instead of them saying that they were unable to do it. This is what they did and then say that they couldn't do it because we needed a Loctician because his hair is so thick. If you couldn't do it at the beginning where you shouldn't just say that in the first place. Now I have to find somebody to probably do his hair and pay more money.
