Samantha is the most gifted stylist I've had the privilege of seeing. When I came to her my hair was damaged, breaking and I was seeking a way to regain confidence in my appearance. I've been coming to her regularly for about 9 months and each time I leave feeling better about myself. First is the quality of her extensions. I knew nothing about this process and Samantha guided me through what to expect but took the drivers seat in helping decide how to proceed when I clearly couldn't articulate any sort of vision other than "longer". The quality is phenomenal and even as they grow out, the extensions stay invisible. I can be hard on my hair with workouts and keeping it in a ponytail but the durability is impressive. Second, her coloring abilities are a gift. Keep in mind your hair and extensions are two different sets of hair with two different treatment histories. Samantha can expertly color match so extensions look indistinguishable from my own hair. Third, she has given sound guidance on how to treat my own hair with the goal of getting me out of extensions. She's been able to recommend products and advice on how to take care of my own hair. I've been following this diligently and the growth I've seen in the last 9 months is more than I've had in the last 3 years. Well, I was desperate to get my roots done For the holidays and my usual hairstylist was booked all the way till mid 2020. (Yeah, crazy) so, i'm a bit reluctant on finding a new hairstylist because I've tried going to a different stylist before and long story short, my hair just turned brassy orange. So needless to say I'm very particular about my hair because I have that good black Asian hair (G, with the good hair! heeey) and it's just hard finding someone who can keep up with my blonde dyed maine. Super pro about this lady: Her website is working! And you can book appointments easily! So easy, I lucked out and booked a next day appointment (day before thanksgiving!) praise the hair Gods!! Another ultimate pro, she's a professional, knows her craft, colors and basically is amazing. Now with amazing stylists comes expensive prices. As she should charge because she's very good, and hence why it's not difficult to book an appt with her because no one is dropping $250-$300 plus for baby lights/balayage and hair cut. Again, I just got my roots done- just my roots! But I promise you, she is so worth it. I wish I can regularly afford to get my hair done for that price point but, with that price comes along a lot of pros, like good results and convenience of scheduling, professionalism and she also sent me a hand written Christmas card! I mean, that is customer service, people!! I think i May just have to suck it up and keep going to S. Dean!! read more
