During the Springtime Surprise RunDisney Weekend, I had lots of time at both Epcot and the Flower & Garden Festival, so when I got tired, Rose & Crown was definitely my favorite place to stop and take a rest! Although I didn't eat a full meal here on this trip, just a drink, the atmosphere of Rose & Crown is well worth a visit. The restaurant feels like a traditional English Pub, you can instantly imagine sitting back and staying awhile. Between the themed décor, the energy inside, and the location in the UK Pavilion, it felt like a great place to relax and enjoy the afternoon! After a busy race and plenty of walking around World Showcase, it was nice to find a spot that felt a little slower paced. I grabbed a drink, took in the atmosphere, and enjoyed a break from the crowds for a bit. I learned while visiting is that Rose & Crown also offers a dining package that includes reserved viewing for Epcot's nighttime fireworks. I didn't take advantage of it this trip, but it's definitely something I'd consider on a future visit. Rose & Crown is one of those places that just feels welcoming. Whether you're stopping in for a drink, or simply a break during your day at Epcot, the atmosphere alone makes it worth a visit! Finally returned to the Rose & Crown after many many years of refusing to go after a terrible experience as a teenager with family. My husband & I recently became Orlando locals and got our passes. On our first visit to EPCOT I let him plan the day since he has had way less time at the parks than I have had in my lifetime. He chose this-I initially was not thrilled. I will say, we had a far more pleasant experience than I anticipated. The staff is really friendly. I lived in England for a time many years ago so the England pavilion is really interesting for me when it comes to speaking with the CM's. Our server could not have been more friendly or interesting. The three of us had a long chat about America vs the UK and his experience thus far. It was his 6th day serving at the restaurant-the spend mi the on his program in other told before getting to that point and you have never known. Food was great. HUGE portions. Consider sharing. It's a great option for family's who may have picky edgers as British food is pretty palatable. Be aware, if you are visiting during the warm weather months & are hoping for a seat indoors in the AC, go in advance (when you arrive) and request that so they will use ample time to try to sort that out for your party. If you are seated on the patio, there are no fans and no AC. While there may be a breeze from the lake, if there's no wind, there is no breeze. If it rains they pull down the roll up walls (a thick plastic) and will keep them down for a while after wards-trapping humidity & heat inside. Highly recommend splitting the fish & chips-it's massive. The chips are excellent. There aren't a ton of menu options carp warning. While it's not my favorite location in Epcot I was pleasantly surprised and would go back without hesitation. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for years now every time I go to EPCOT. Yesterday while there with my mom I finally made the reservation and we ate there for dinner. I will say the process for making the reservation and checking in was so smooth. We even got seated early after we checked in once we were able to. I loved that. The waitress was extrememly kind and when I let her know about my dietary restrictions she made sure to point out everything that I could eat and even let me know that there were other options that I could do that weren't listed on the menu. The view from our table was also really nice looking out onto the water. It was a very calm experience and there was a nice little evening breeze starting when we ate too. My only thing and why I didn't quite give it a 5 star experience is I felt that there was just so much meat in the cottage pie and it wasn't balanced very well with vegetables. To me the flavor just wasn't quite there with the meat as well. The potatos on top were delicious. I think it was a one and done dining experience for me. read more

This was my first time sitting down in the UK pavilion! We chose this restaurant to take advantage of the dining package with the Candlelight Processional. So, with the package we got one beverage (alcohol included), an entree, and a dessert! Options are limited but they're all UK staples. I enjoyed a delightful Pimm's cup for my drink, and I liked the inclusion of a drink rather than an app. I chose the shepherd's pie as my entree, and my dad got the fish and chips. Both were very filling and nice meals! The fish in the sit down restaurant here is cod, making it a little nicer quality than what they serve at the quick service window. For dessert I got the sticky toffee pudding, and I actually really liked it! It wasn't too large of a serving and it had a nice flavor. They also offered a seasonal gelato as a lighter option. Rose & Crown has a fun atmosphere and a great location right on the World Showcase Lagoon--definitely one of the best spots for catching the fireworks if you can time it right. The pub-style setting is charming, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. That said, the menu just doesn't feel like the best fit for a theme park day. The heavier, traditional British dishes (like fish and chips, shepherd's pie, etc.) are authentic, but not exactly what I'm craving in the middle of walking around Epcot in the Florida heat. I found myself wishing for some lighter, more refreshing options to balance out the hearty fare. But the food is quite good, regardless, and I have always enjoyed what we had. My friend was in town for Festival of the Arts in February and wanted to dine somewhere we hadn't been before. She found Rose and Crown had a reservation and grabbed it. It's rare I've personally seen some reservations come up on weekends so that tells me it's a popular spot. It's in the UK pavilion across from the shop with Beatles and British brand products. It's a full service bar and they have beers on tap. Our waitress was so warm and answered all of our questions and had great recommendations. We decided to get shepherds pie. Food came out quickly and the pie was delicious. Maybe one of the best I've ever had. My friend and I tried the sticky toffee pudding and it wasn't bad, but not our favorite. I booked a reservation in advance for 8:10pm. We were promptly seated after checking in with the app. I've never been to the UK before but the inside was cozy and lovely and reminded me of a pub straight out of the movies. The service here was really good and all the waitresses were from the UK. The food took a little while to come out but it came out hot and fresh. I got the Shepherd's Pie. It looks small from the photos but it's a decently large enough portion for 1-2 people. The shepherd's pie was unfortunately too salty. Everything about it would have been perfect if it wasn't so over-salted. My husband liked his fish and chips, and that was also a huge portion of fish they give you. The Scottish Egg as an appetizer was just okay but the mustard sauce was the best part about it. The sticky toffee pudding was sweet and delicious. My favorite part about this whole dining experience was that our waitress rounded us up and other guests to watch the Luminous fireworks that started at 9pm out on their balcony. It was a private space just for their guests and it was a fantastic view. We were able to return back to our tables to finish eating afterwards. Is this the best English food on the planet?!? No. Not at all. Is this good enough for a Disney restaurant. Yes. Yes it is. Level set your expectations, we are not trend setting here, but this is still good food. Skip the scotch egg, but everything else was delicious! Note for the future: Don't overeat during Food & Wine then try to come here. The staff at the stand were great and went out their way to allow us to sit inside since it was so hot. They coordinated with the staff inside and led us there. We didn't eat much but we did eat was ok. Cider and Blackcurrant - this was soooo good. If I had more room I would have ordered another one. Stopped by while at Epcot for a beer and some food. There is a Fish and Chips stand right next door that you can order the food at, bring it into the pub, and have it with a beer to cool off. The Fish and Chips were very good, and tasted just like I was in England! Served hot and crispy! On the other hand, the beers were unfortunate here. How is that possible, you ask? Well, I ordered a beer for my wife on the menu that was half cider and half beer. They told me that they were out of the cider on tap, but could make something very similar with a bottle of cider. It told her it's fine. Then, when i looked at the receipt, I was charged for 2 beers. I was charged for half a pint of the Guinness (about 80% the price of a full pint) and then for a bottle of cider, that they only used half of. No, I was not given the other half of the bottle. We did a walk-in for dinner. We were able to be seated in like 5 mins after checking in at the front. We sat outside on the covered patio. Since I did not get to try the fish and chips at their stand, I decided to get it for my meal. My wife got the shepherd's pie. She thought her food was great. Unfortunately, I thought my fish was horrible. The pieces were huge but there was so much batter. I wouldn't say it was hard but it definitely wasn't crispy in a palatable way. Especially because of the batter/fish ratio and way the batter was separated from the fish, like some batter force field, you were mostly biting into just batter. Grease level was not really a problem for me but I can understand others thinking it on the greasier side. Service was fine; we clearly had a server in training and did not mind at all. We came here with our kids as a scheduled dining event. We were seated outside even with a reservation, which I had mixed feelings about, but it ended up working out fine. We had a huge stroller, so it most likely needed to be accommodated outside since indoors is relatively small. We were kind of hoping for an indoor air conditioned meal since the food was heavier and it was hot outside, but we ended up being pretty comfortable after a bit in the shade with the fans blowing and we had a gorgeous view. I was super excited to try a few new things, there were both good and eh. I didn't like the scotch egg at all, I've never had one though, so perhaps it was an okay scotch egg. It made me sick to my stomach. The fish and chips was absolutely killer, gah it was delicious and served on the classic newspaper which brought back some memories! The bangers and mash wasn't my favorite but it was a huge hit with my husband. I'm not convinced those mashed potatoes aren't a mix though.... Which would make my Irish-British grandmother absolutely riot. Anyway, not superb but nothing wrong with it. They had a very small selection of menu items but I was thoroughly impressed with everything that was ordered. This is a great choice for dinner at the United Kingdom Pavilion. We were in the mood for British pub food, and they totally delivered. It was easy to make a reservation through the My Disney Experience App. Checking in online was also a breeze. They'll text you when your table is ready. The restaurant closes after lunch, but reopens again at 4 pm for dinner. Our table was ready in no time. We were seated inside. They do have outdoor seating if desired. Jack was very welcoming, and offered some great suggestions. We were definitely there for the fish & chips. There was malt vinegar on the table ready to be splashed onto the fish. I thought about getting the Snake Bite Imperial Pint, but I was more thirsty than anything. I just needed some water. Maybe next time. The fried fish here is amazing. We were told that the fish served was Hake. There are 3 pieces to a dinner portion. They are huge and tender pieces of fish. I love that they are beer-battered and crispy. They give you plenty of lemon wedges, and a cup of tartar sauce and ketchup for the chips. The tartar sauce was also delicious. I just wish they had a smaller plate option with just 2 pieces of fish. I couldn't eat the 3rd one. The couple next to us was smart by sharing one order. We should have done that. The chips were just okay. It was thick like steak fries. I prefer them to be thinner. Is it authentic? Yes, very close. The only difference is that they don't have the skin on them (which I like). Maybe because I like the plaice & chips better than the cod & chips. My husband said the fish & chips at Rose & Crown were better than the ones in England. They were pretty darn good. I'd totally get it again, but we'll split it next time. We didn't stay for the Sticky Toffee Pudding. We'd already had a flight of caramels earlier that day. I definitely want to try it next time. The service was great! The restaurant was clean. Decided to try some German food today. During food and wine festival, I often ate the sausage and it was delicious. As for the famous fish and chips, last year my girlfriend tried it at the booth next door and loved it so I though, let's try the dining room. And it wasn't a mistake! First the staff. Yes it's Disney so the staff is great, but we had even better service. Smile all the way, sweet and caring. And when my girlfriend said we just engage, she came back with champagne on the house (and it was very delicious champagne, normally I don't like champagne). Such a sweet gesture as Disney does it. For the food. The banger and mashed were so good, I don't regret anything. The mushroom was so good (I don't like mushroom!), the bangers were perfect, the mashed potatoes and the gravy just divine. As for the fish and chips, my girlfriend was extactic over them. 3 big fish portions with many fries. The fries were also very good, properly cooked, crunchy outside and chewey inside. While there is a dining room with a selection of British fare, it is the bar that is the draw. The best beer selection for those who prefer the Disneyesque traditional pub feel. My friends and I decided to try out this UK pub for lunch. The food was a mix of good and bad. The pub aesthetic was definitely there and our waitress Jade was fantastic; she told us all about how beautiful her home country was and she was diligent and kind. The bangers and mash were very good; in particular I liked the mushrooms and chunks of thick cut bacon in the sauce. I didn't like the vegan gelato, however; it tasted great as I was eating it, but for some reason it sat heavily in my stomach when I was done. The discomfort stayed with me for a while. It had been a very long time since I had been here and was reminded how quaint the location is. The menu has been drastically cut down. We had the candlelight package which covers a three course meal. I started with the coronation salad (bibb lettuce, onion, gold, golden raisins, and a delicious dressing that I cannot remember the name to). Great portion size! I offered for the classic fish and chips and I do think that they offer one of the best fish and chips on Walt Disney World property. Although I have heard that Raglan Road offers a really good one as well. For dessert I offered for the plant-based gelato with fresh berries. I will admit I was slightly disappointed by the dessert as all the flavors were incredibly flat. Must make one because they are booked and you won't get a table if you just walk up. Wish I could have it again right now! My hubby started with a scotch egg (I don't like eggs) he liked it and he had fish and chips and we tried each other's dishes like we normally do. Very good fish and chips, if you've ever had these dishes in England you would think you're there! Fish was flaky and tasty and even served on newspaper print. In England they would wrap your fish & chips in newspaper. Malt vinegar on each table. Yum! What I was shocked to learn about each world in Epcot is the cast members working there are originally from the country they are working in. Disney thinks of everything. That made the experiences so much more fun and enjoyable! Our waitress was lovely, each interaction she smiled and I loved her accent and she was very attentive to our needs, refilled our drinks twice and tried for a third, but we were done! Oh I almost forgot- sticky toffee pudding- forgot to take a picture, also delicious. Had Birds Eye custard in it, hiding underneath the pudding- now Americans are probably thinking-pudding? It's not like chocolate pudding. Brits call dessert pudding. The custard, that was a nice surprise because it didn't mention that on the menu description. The Rose & Crown is a great restaurant and it's one that we will definitely return to on our next visit. We had been to the pub side before just for drinks, but we were able to snag a late dinner here on our most recent trip last month and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had a nice beer flight and Indigo Hibiscus cocktail and our drinks were very tasty. My wife had the Shepherd's pie and I had the fish and chips and both of these were cooked perfectly and were very filling; we love seeing places that have a small menu since that usually means they make those items well and that is definitely the case here. The best part of the meal though was getting to talk to our waiter, David. He was a blast and we loved getting to know him. We would definitely recommend that people try to sit in his section as he's very personable, provides excellent service, and was just a great guy. On the first few times I came to EPCOT, I did not realize how much of a dining destination it was. Had to rectify that on this trip, one restaurant at a time! Had to start with the Rose & Crown Dining Room, since I loved Yorkshire County Fish Shop's fish and chips. Of course, I had to get the Fish & Chips here! I was actually impressed with the fish. It was like the perfect amount of batter, but still with a healthy serving of cod that came with it. Batter wasn't too overwhelming and was flavored well. Plus the fries were actually true British-style chips, very thick with plenty of potato. My girlfriend got the Shepherd's Pie and it was quite delicious as well! Service was great! I love how all the country pavilions here are staffed by people that are actually from that country. So cool to be served by actual English folk. We had a great time at Rose & Crown when we recently visited EPCOT. I was surprised by the quality and authenticity of the food. We arrived right as lunch was starting and they were able to seat us promptly on the lagoon. Our server was so nice and kind that she was likely the highlight of the experience. My wife and I had a meal here and it was one of the greatest experiences I have had on Disney property. We recently went plant based, so our options are limited on dining spots. Disney always does a great job of offering meatless options and the Rose & Crown outdid themselves on this day. We ordered the plant based "fish", its off menu but you can ask for it, and the hot pot. All the food we had was outstanding and I even traded food with my wife half-way through. They have house made dairy free tartar sauce and it was really good. It went so well with the fish and even came with a side of mushy peas. The hot pot was the real star of the show. It was similar to a Shephard's pie but made with impossible meat. It was so good my wife made a copy of it when we got home. Couple that with the amazing views of the water from the patio and it was truly a memory making experience. This place is outstanding and will be added to our list of must visit places when we are back at EPCOT! read more

The first thing we noticed is that the portion of Fish n Chips is much much larger when dining in than quick service. It's also a lot more crispier. Okay this place is a true gem! Firstly you'll be greeted by some of the nicest people ever! They are so kind and explain some of their favorite dishes on the menu. Pros: Delicious food Incredible service Amazing view of the world showcase Cons: The biggest con is the heat. Yes this restaurant can't control the heat. However 80% of this restaurant is outside. Meaning you will not escape the heat by going inside an air conditioned room. I was outside and it felt nice to sit in the shade. Yes the ac is nice but the view was worth it. I've become vegetarian since my last review and was happily surprised to discover a version of the shepherd's pie made with Impossible meat which can be easily made vegan by omitting cheese, as our server so helpfully pointed out.
